    A few questions

Welcome! There's a Chilli Red Coupe for sale on here for about £14k IIRC.
  2. Get yourself some Collinite Wax and spend the time applying a couple of coats of that. It's used in marine applications as well and is remarkably hard wearing.
  3. Is that where you work? We should have arranged the meet for there!
  4. I agree mate. See how much of that £600 you really save. Yes it's nice to have cars and stuff, but if it was impacting my quality of life with friends and family (as much as I love cars!) I'd ditch it and get something else. Life is short and I agree with the sentiments of living it. At the same time, you should protect yourself and family from any pitfalls that could be prevented IMO. Save a few more months, let the prices come down further, then get a newer, better spec version than you could if you stretched yourself.
  5. Sorry to hear it mate. I hate this sort of dumb ass, mindless attack. Might be worth presenting yourself with a few friends to the group and inquire as to whether they may have seen the little knob jockey that carried out such an act. And it might be worth reminding them you have a video of it already from the house and it is being looked at by the police.

    IM BACK WITH PICS!!!

Looks great Except the fog lights. Think it looks odd with them on and would look smoother in daylight without em. Loving the slightly evil, dark look though.
  7. Will be there 4-6 minimum guys and gals. Anyone want to come along, will be at the Plough pub, Wokingham.
  8. Agreed. If you want the rears to only be fill, that's where the fader is your friend. That's how mine is set up anyway.
  9. We'll assume the rest of you will be there then? Hope the weather holds out!!
  10. Sorry to state the obvious, but anything you find that is lighter than the OEM stuff! Anything you can replace COULD save weight. The Rays wheels are actually quite light. Getting rid of the mats, taking the engine cover off, getting rid of the air box etc would start to add up.
  11. Interesting comment, considering you deserted this website for the OC and have only just returned. So on what basis is this assessment? In anycase, if this is going to turn into a slanging match I suggest we all move on and this thread is closed. I don't see any constructive reason for it being open??? Ever stop to think why I stopped posting on here, Kev???? Every thread was ruined by Val and his megalomanic rantings. Frankly he just turned me, and alot of others off. Ive known Val long before you came along Kev, the previous board that Val and co deserted to set up this place was in place a good 4 years ago now. Thats the basis for my assessment. Sorry if I've touched a raw nerve talking about 'mate', but I sometimes wonder if anyone on here actually has a pair of balls, and will speak their mind about things. This is my opinion, but I get the feeling others are thinking the same thing. Feel free to lock this thread if you wish, I do find it ironic that you of all people want this thread locking due to slanging matches, i seem to remember every thread not so long back was you whinging about how you've been ill treated on the O.C etc etc. You were quite happy to pull the punches then. Welcome back then mate Lets move it on eh? Things change.
  12. It will only be as strong as the weakest link though mate. The BOSE headunit is poor output quality so your Genesis will be receiving sub standard signal. You can still Dynamat, and change the headunit keeping the OEM stuff in the garage? Otherwise, don't expect a great deal of improvement IMO.
  13. Whichever ones you prefer up front. The rears should do nothing really. Only amplify the fronts and leave the rears off the headunit. You can improve the sound stage by still running the tweeters in the mirror backs, and whatever speakers you put up front. What head unit will you use?

    Announcement

Not really too much to say that hasn't been said in the original post. It is factual IMO and pretty unbiased. It has been a sticky and unpleasant thing for the team to go through, and I think it has been handled fairly well. My personal view is that if Val wants to change the masses, he should indulge in politics. Or dictatorship. The members make clubs what they are, and things will evolve. If he doesn't like depreciation and other people being able to afford the Zed, he's missing the point of a fresh bunch of people lucky enough to come along and get involved with this site. For openess, has the money issue left any exposure on the site? Additonally, are there any other ways of getting the domain names back for this site staff?
  16. Welcome. Depends how repairable, what category it would go down as, cost for repair, and whether it is sellable afterwards!

    Z Number 3

but she has to keep the avatar In compliance with y'all's request... I just got a chuckle out of the fact that I'm still a "Z Hopeful." I guess I'll have to buy another Z to be something other than "hopeful." Sharing your infinite Z wisdom will be fine!

    dash retrim??

No it wouldnt as the dash but which comes out with the airbag will be covered but not seal, will be the equivalent to just painting the dash except you are covering it with leather if that makes sense Um, no - re-read it a few times and can't work it out..... Lol, basically where the airbag departs the gap will not be sealed over just worked around There will need to be a loose stitch as a minimum, if not a panel separately covered to prevent bits of hot leather flying into your face.
  20. I think you can get quite reasonable disposables now. Louis, you might have to do some pics of my car.
  21. That's my thoughts, so will try this. Maxi Suds II is great stuff for a wash. I've not used it. Mine gets done at least once a week, so the P21S I'm using at the moment never has a chance to lose it's effect. Not seen anything Zaino wise that is really worth the extra £££ though....
  22. This forms part of a TSB for Nissan and a known 4th to 6th syncromesh issue. Depending on what they've got in stock, it's £600 of parts plus labour, or a new gearbox. Do a search on here and you'll find a couple of other threads......
