  1. I would of thought the dealer wouldn't touch it with it being a import unless you paid TBO That's what I mean by getting it serviced at one. Surely they would work on one, they're all made in the same place.
  2. It is a hugely different range of cars though. The fact a £30k car is on a track with one costing 5 times as much is an achievement.
  3. If you won't take it to a main dealer then you may well be making a rod for your own back. This is part of a TSB for Nissan in the UK and the dealers know the problem well. If you need a service and asked them to look at it, they may well take them out, regrease them and turn them, which will at least offer a short term fix while you save. IMO, you don't have to replace everything, if it has just started then re-seating the axle can resolve the issue. If you're not going to a main dealer, good luck finding an experienced independent to fix it.
  4. Nice looking car. Rare combination as others have said. Now get some P21S on it for a gleaming finish! Welcome to the site!
  5. I thought they were about £199 for the pair? MikeyF got some from Holdcroft IIRC.
  6. If you want pure aesthetics and to hell with the handling, then you will be fine with springs. I don't know anything about the springs Phil does, I am sure he can explain the pros and cons. However, I'm pretty sure the answer will still be a full set-up change will reap rewards. Don't forget Nissan will have spent millions sorting the original set-up with damping levels, spring rates etc. Just swapping out the springs will affect what is a pretty good handling car.
  7. Heat soak will make no difference given the ECU.
  8. Am guessing the wind tunnel didn't test it going sideways at 183mph!
  9. its diamond cut finish with laquer........ and as you can see there is some little chunks of rim missing so im looking for a good refurbisher................ www.wheelrefurbishing.com - did a top job on my OZ Superleggerras and are used by many other car clubs. Id definatly vouch for these people ace job - I thought you went elsewhere?! Glad you got a good service. Didnt want people to know I was taking advice from you, I got my reputation to think of Now where is Lauren.....
  10. Yep. Now why isn't there a to$$er Emoticon....??
  11. And mine is in extended for another 15 months.

  13. I didn't dare ask - Might have to come to you for a mortgage to cover it Mab - you are a brave man "I had a P! service at Bishops Guildford for £160". I recall reading on here someone who here was driving home from a service there and the sump plug fell out with all the oil - put me off ever using them and useless when I wanted to get a 4-wheel alignment check with my previous ZED. Thanks H5 for the Reading suggestion will give them a call. Any thoughts on the merits of using a non-Nissan outfit - anyone found they took a bit hit on trade-in/sale value by not having a full Nissan serrvice history? I don't think there are many comparisons for that. Ask yourself the question, two cars side by side, identical except one has a full NSH, which would you go for.....? Reading have always been very helpful when I have spoken to them, and had work done. Even managed to sort my replacement wheels on warranty.

    Elise Accident

Sad news, glad he came through unscathed. Accidents happen!

  16. Welcome to the site. Might be worth getting that pic since people here won't know you. Usually a picture with the site name next to it does the trick. Good luck!
  17. Try Rowstock Nissan, Reading. P1 should comfortably be in the £100's.....
  18. I agree with what's been said so far. For looks, resale and fit I'd go genuine NISMO.
  19. Welcome to the site! As for Skyline to a Zed, you will get a more attractive car a start. Modding it to the potential Skyline power could cost a bit more without that initial turbo tuneability. But a 400bhp + twin turbo Zed looks to be like a fair comparison - check out TDi.
  20. You would be surprised I don't think Nissan has actually ever "approved" 3rd party manufacturer parts, like brakepads and so on, except for the ones they provide on the car when it leaves the factory. It is not because in reality it didn't happen (yet) that they could not pull it off if they wanted to. That's my point bud. Nissan can try and make it difficult, but legally they can't enforce it. It depends how much you want to stand by your principles and fight them for it. It's not up to them to 'approve' anything.
  21. Nothing wrong with the age and spec of your car at all. Welcome to the site!
