I would say play it from the gearbox angle first as this is a known issue. While it is being worked, ask them to take a look at the clutch and go from there. As has been said above though, and not just with Nissan, it is unlikely you will get a replacement clutch done....

Thanks for that bud, some useful stuff in there. Since it is going on soon, I may as well tell.....! I am actually swapping it out for a polished version of the same. The only other one I'd go for is the Cosworth, but from the looks of it, there is a gasket between the upper and lower plenum - is this cork? Metal? Something else? Also wondered about torque settings for doing it back up? In a nutshell, am I ok pulling the usual socket set and wrench out, and doing this myself? I'm not a complete novice, but have no back up if I mess something up!

The BOSE is notoriously bad at this. Either aftermarket or live with it I'm afraid....

Mer is a polish. If you don't add anything afterwards, then there is no real protection on the paint. If you want something to protect afterwards, get some wax layered up, or start adding some sealant if you really want to go to town. I'd recommend AG Ultra Gloss Protection or Chemical Guys jetSEAL for the job.

And is the reason alone I shelled out for the extended warranty!!

I used to compete in national car audio competitions for sound quality. I had an install that got interrogated for safety, design, finish, and most importantly, sound. So a range of music was listened to, from classic, to rock, to jazz, and the system should do certain things. It gets quite detailed, but it shows your ears what they're missing!

I asked my mate this very question last week. He is a racing driver, and recommended going to Grand Prix Racewear and they would sort out something that fitted right and for a price in your budget. Main advice he gave was to avoid trying to go for a particular brand, go for whatever fits best, and not to get bike helmets. Bikers, don't shoot, just relaying what was passed on to me!

You will get some 'new' wheels back from a place that refurbs them so they can actually stand up to British roads. You'd get more for them on eBay if brand new......

Sorry! OK - 7998R - CD player, no amp built in so you will need external amp to run. Designed to play a CD as well as possible basically. Also has an EQ and other toys built in. The H701 set-up, is an EQ for sound, but also does a whole host of other bits and bobs if you run other Alpine equipment. Allows things like Dolby 5.1 and DTS formats to be played as intended if you have a DVD player in the car. Used together, you can basically set the sound up in your car to be exactly as you want it. I won trophies with the headunit when I used to compete. That help? Will tidy original post too!

Well if you're looking in that direction out of it, the pipes have done their job in providing the power, and the bars are about to do their job in saving yo' ass!!

I still love the fact you can see bits of drain pipe from inside the car!!
