  1. Thanks mate. Yea I thougt that. Will be going round the island on my bike tomorrow so will be super careful.
  2. That looks great fun. We've got an island near us that looks similar...
  3. Toyota is a munter or is that Jarno Tuilli....
  4. I don't understand why the Alfa 8C is there though.
  5. I was thinking exactly the same. Will check. They could be too high on the rear. Grip in the dry is unbeliveable though as you probably know.
  6. Thanks guys for the kind thoughts. You know how I felt then. They are described as a Track Day tyre, and known to be crap in standing water as Terv says, but the road was just wet. Maybe there was some diesel that made them let go. See http://www.yokohamatire.com/advan/default.asp This is one review on the SELOC Wiki They key comment there is Scary in Winter...
  7. Thanks guys. Slowed me down on the bends from then on. Very very lucky though. There didn't seem to be enough room to spin but I manaed it. Also realised just how quick a mid engine car spins. No warning at all and pretty much nothing I could do once it had started. I wasn't scared though, too worried that I might damage the car. I was so close to the curb of the island with the front and was fully expecting the lip spoiler to hit, then when it didn't started worrying about the next car as the island is raised so I couldn't see what was coming and they couldn't see me...
  8. I spun over 180 degrees on an island early this morning and was lucky I didn't hit anything and had time to do a 3 point turn to get myself back on course. The look on the face of an old guy in a Jag waiting to enter the island was priceless... I found out fortunately the easy way with no damage done. What an idiot I am but guess I've learnt the limit of the tyres now. Can't help wondering though if there was some diesel which caused it.
  9. Nissan dealers are rubbish, but then again many other manufacturers dealers are. I thought all car warranty included a car. Our Jeep, (now sold) had a gearbox problem and the part was on back order from the US. The warranty provided us a latest shape new Jeep for over a month. They even delivered our car back to our home and took the hire car when it was fixed.
  10. OK you want rock. My favourite track of the moment. Just bought the Album Black Earth Tiger....and yes this is the stuff I listen to... Kev your mad .... it's white noise Fantastic stuff, love it. This track is featured in Resident Evil Extinction. Things have moved on a bit since Lemmy...
  11. Yep Thats car lives in better conditions than I do, tiled floor, radiators.... I love it I would never buy a Ferrari after having the 430 for 5 weeks, what a heap of @*!#. Whoa whoa whoa! Hold the phone! You had a 430 for a while? Why was it a heap of poop? I'll never be able to afford these cars so I need to live vicariously! He said it was only alittle quicker than the Zed but didnt even compare to the Gallardo. Engine didnt sound as good, handling wasnt anywhere near the G. He nearly gave it back to the hire company he didnt like it that much. Im sure Sarnie will have a full breakdown of how rubbish it was. That pretty much sums it up Proper turd compared to the G. Your evaluation was based on driving round the bull ring then..... I think to appreciate the handling of the 430 needs a track... The 430 Scuderia recently on Fifth Gear with Tiff driving laped the Ferrari test track with almost the same time as the Enzo, which is extremel impressive from a turd...

  13. Yea stick around mate. They'll all hate you but hey that's life....and variety is the etc.
  14. DC5 is the model number. Basically it was preceeded by the DC2 & DC1 Kinda like the 3 Series went E21, E30, E36, E46 etc. If that makes sense??? Sinbad, Some VERY nice DC2's on the forum sales for about £5k including one in Kent that I'm seriously tempted by...should leave you enough pennies over to fluff about with after selling your one Neil Yeah cheers mate, im keeping an eye on the dc2 forum, their usually well kept on there. need to sell mine first. Kev - thanks! Dont know if youve been on track with any DC5's but there meant to be great on track and show alot of more expensive stuff up. I think it only lapped the nurburgring 1 second slower than the s1 exige. However im not sure if this was the DC2 or DC5 model. DC5 is meant to be slightly quicker on track. As with the exige it would be better suited to some of the UK tracks too. If anyone has any ideas of what to get next im open to them, so fire away. The Honda V-Tec engines are great. It's the most common ugrade to the S1 Lotus. As for a replacement, I guess it depends what you want. Assuming 10k budget. 1. For luxury how about a BMW 840i or an Jag XK8 or XKR 2. For performance and practicality, Evo or Scooby 3. For fun a Elise
  15. Young wipper snappers..... I saw this on SELOC and the guy over there who posted had a result of 5...
  16. http://www.howmanyfiveyearoldscouldyoutakeinafight.com/ 22 for me..
  17. OK let me clarify what I mean by practical. The Exige is practical, has next to no boot, barely enough room for 2 passengers, can't hear the sound system over 70 mph, rock hard suspension etc. etc. But I can use it whenever I want and you can live with it. A MaClaren F1 on the other hand would be just too extreme and would spend most of it's time locked up in the garage. I didn't mean practical as in Golf Diesel.....
  18. Id sell my soul and get an F1 Untill you drove onet that is. The thing with all these supercars, is they look faboulus but most are horrible to drive, F1 included as it was really a race car. Probably the most pratical supercar at the moment is the SLR. Even Paris Hilton can drive one...
  19. But I'd want a Supercar to have heritage, style etc. The 599 has it in bucket loads and for me the Zonda doesn't. It's all art deco and uses a Merc Engine..
  20. I'd rather have one of these and save some money. All would probably hold their value better, or at least be easier to sell. http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/336038.htm http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/336038.htm http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/313463.htm
  21. Not for me, they have no class or style. For that money I'd be after a Enzo, F50, MC12, F430 Scuderia even....maybe a 250 GTO...
  22. My BMW dealer was excellent, but it was down to one guy. Agree the majority are crap.....of any dealer for that matter.
