  1. good stuff, gonna get her booked now gonna b a laugh
  2. she is now saying she's scared of hitting something! from the pic there doesn't seem much to hit, is there?
  3. not really mate, looks like it's the same height
  4. black wheels were cheap enough mate, they're the OEM 18" that's what I use in the winter New rear tyres for the WORKs are on their way so should be able to put them on soon. Sarnie thing is, if you said you didn't like what I've done to my car, or even said you hated it completely, I wouldn't have given a toss because I like it and that's what counts! I wouldn't have been "offended" simply by a comment made on an internet forum, by whoever
  5. wait another year or so when the Z price starts to fall into early 20's money...
  6. it's silver Kev, like the other plastics. Left some CF showing as you can see. the Gumball sticker is just a remnant of HIN London 2005 where I used it to cover my numberplate
  7. think it came out quite nice in the end. Apart from the powdercoating of the plenum and strut bar, again I did all the work myself
  8. quite please with the results, and proud of having done all of the work myself (spraying exluded) roll on next week when I get my new rear tyres and put the WORKs back on
  9. a fully moded Supra would eat a Zed for breakfast like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-SUPRA-TOP- ... dZViewItem it wouldn't eat a fully modded Z for breakfast though. It's only fair to compare similar engines and mods tbh. a NA Supra, for example is well slower than a NA Z. A TT Supra (standard) is a bit quicker than a NA Z. A TT Modded supra (which we all know can range to all sorts of HP, but which is the ceiling for driveability? they are RWD like the Z) would be similarly fast to a TT modded Z (same reasoning about BHP ceiling to make it driveable though. Then if you are talking about dyno queen status, the Supras have been known to pass the 1000bhp mark on dynos, but they have been out for decades (ie tuning companies have had longer to research and develop), and I'm quite sure the Z will reach that mark soon too (considering it's at the 855bhp right now)

    Ferodo Pads

phil, my front OEM pads didn't have a metal shim, rears do though
  11. Its more fun getting you to do our searching for us though till it lasts... then people will start getting fed up with all these repeat questions which have been dealt with time and time again, and abuse you/flame you.... Try asking such a question on my350z and hope you are wearing asbestos pants....
  12. agree with Chris, for once! Suggestion "box" during lunch is great imo.
  13. As is yours hence your cannot say the map is safe nor can Dorian say its not. I can. multiple experiences in the US with all the remap solutions on NA engines I have mentioned above, have not lead to any catastrophic failure I agree with the fact that it won't unlock major gains (as I already stated), but saying a NA remap/retune is not safe is just not true.
  14. well show me evidence that a NA remap is unsafe then. You can be as sarcastic as you like, but without evidence it's only your opinion.
  15. 29 confirmed with 3 possibles... anymore for anymore?? Off to fit my new bumper
  16. if the nail/screw hasn't gone through the sidewall you'll be able to get it repaired with no issues
  17. that's a bit harsh. never heard of a NA remap/piggyback tune do any damage tbh. It's not harsh at all - see the thread title; can you assure him that it will be safe, I think not and on what basis could you - please advise! My take is that Nissan spent X millions developing the ECU with all its foibles wrt mods etc. Experience of use suggests that their map is safe. On what basis is it possible without investing same sums to guarantee (assure - same word) safe operation for a tune which diverts from the base?? You can't, no way - it's a fundamental given surely that you tune your car at your own risk and you rely on a body of evidence for assurance. Which does not exist in the UK for the Z (albeit that it does exist to a greater extent in the US). The precise reason why people do their research based on the US forums - and take a view. I could ask the same: give me evidence worldwide of a NA remap (be it technosquare, aam) or NA piggyback retune (UTEC) where it's not been safe and it has led to catastrophic failure. I've never seen any evidence of a retune on a NA motor leading to issues. The title is asking whether it is SAFE remapping a NA motor, and yes it is. The fact that it won't unlock major gains, is another story.
  18. thinking of getting Debbie a lambo gallardo drive, it's on offer for only £99! recommend it Kev, i suppose?
  19. I wasn't expecting you to read that, considering you don't even read manuals was just being courteous and answer yr question. PS the majority of men are the same type as you, ie don't read manuals, just dive straight into using stuff and experimenting with it (then they make posts like yours )
