  1. never heard or seen that one before. well advertised by the daily mail now everyone will want one. i do tend to take the mail with a pinch of salt, they are brilliant at over hyping a situation. end of the day, a knifes a knife, you get stabbed with any blade its not going to be good.
  2. without having it in front of me i'm not sure i can help
  3. ah i see, i used a richbrook one, identical to this one off of ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TITANIUM-RICHBROO ... 225wt_1165
  4. not 100% sure what you mean. my top grub screw goes through the gaitor ring, the hand brake cover and into the original handbrake where i drilled and tapped a threaded hole into first.
  5. if they have already done a few hundred, then they should be scrubbed in. whats your brother think of them? as they are on his car, you said if he wasn't happy it was me your coming after for recommending them to you
  6. think its an ings, but with a different center section
  7. brain cells are obviously optional in those 2 cars
  8. tempted to do it then vinyl wrap it. i might get a scrap one so if it goes tits up it doesn't matter, and i'll still have the original to put back on if i sell up, especially as its such a permanent mod.
  9. would love to do that to my bonnet, but haven't got the balls to cut into it not with out a guide, and someone else to hold my hand
  10. some are worse than others, depends on how much release agent they put on. normal scrubbing distance is about 300 miles, or a tank of fuel. which ever comes up first really. my sessantas were squeeky for a few hundred miles when first fitted.
  11. this reminds me of another thread where people were talking about seat leons and other hot hatches that were quicker. do you remember a thread about a race spec'd out and turbo'd lada/skoda, something old and naff (i can't remember) it was faster than a lambo and other exotica. its the same principal here. the other car might keep up, but i know what i would prefer to be driving.
  12. good right up dan, with some good comparisons, was this straight after fitting, or had they been scrubbed in? i've cetainly noticed an improvement after 2000 miles
  13. you also said you started in low revs, should have been up at at 3k rpm to make better use of the gear.
  14. i have no problems with gritters.... as long as i'm in front of them
  15. if you want an original kit, envy are selling them at a very good discount price at the moment around the £1200 mark.
  16. not feeling the love on that one either. might work if you flush out the reflectors
  17. my number plate is mounted in my grille area (although it is in to a nismo bumper) but i cut the plate down as small as i could to take up as little space as possible. i have not noticed anything detrimental to performance or over heating
  18. thats not a bad idea. also the garage i had my work done at recommended a clear vinyl over lay on the front
  19. lol i knew it was the same people its why i liked it so much
  20. looking good, i think we share similar tastes, i have some more mods to go on mine soon, just waiting on the bits now, and some exterior secrets on the way looks alot better, just little tweeks that make it that bit smoother
  21. i like the 118 24/7 ad's
  22. teaching pays the bills, just doesn't pay for lambo's
  23. i'm one of those people who would rather do a job i enjoy than one that pays well but i hate it. i hope your well paid job is enjoyable. if it is you've done well. i've just got to work my way up, the money gets better as i go on. and the pension is pretty good (as long as it stays that way)
  24. completed that last night, think its about time to go back to forza 3 now.
