  1. I would go and have a beer now, if I were you
  2. I think the 370 get the same comments that the 350 did when it first came out. The 350 still gets comments now, so that shows it has not aged in a bad way. I still look at my 350 and think "god that is a great looking car", If I could afford/have a 370 I would think the same... except.... ... I might be slightly stiffer
  3. You could try your local insurance/car body repair shop and ask them who they use for courtesy cars. As some policy's require a like for like car, when Mrs Doogyrev had a prang in the Jeep (old V reg one) the bloke who dropped of the courtesy car was very apologetic as all the Range Rovers and Cayenne's were out, here is a Jag Might be worth a shot
  4. My MX5 I had before the Zed was a lease car, there are pros and cons... I had non-maintained lease over 3 yrs @ £305 a month. I has the mileage upped to 18k, after the 3 yrs and I had paid about 11K in rent so to speak, if I wanted to keep the car they wanted 14k.... mmmm 11+14=25 for a 21k car Also as I was over mileage I had to pay 9p per mile extra and I got stung £185 for Car Park Rash !!!!! I now have a Finance on the Zed ....... which I get to keep after the 3 yrs are up If you are willing to pay the £400+ a month plus 2-4K deposit on a Zed Lease you would be much better off using your Zed + Cash as a deposit on a new one then spend that monthly money on Finance/Personal Loan... at least it will be yours at the end .... and you can Mod it I don't think I would lease again. If you do want to lease, I would phone around all the leasing company's and wait till one turns up which has been returned with a few miles on it (Original leaser did not like, could not afford, defaulted payments etc.). You will get it at a reduced lease price.
  5. I don't think I know anyone who has had a MX5 and hated it , I have to agree with you on the Mk2 You should be able to get a good one for that £££££ as I think they are still only 20K new. I saw a dark blue one last week Another reason to get one is the MX5 community, just like the Zed... Its waves all round when you see another one on the road Digsy, Your's looks in red... very nice ..... I miss my MX
  6. The Mk1 I had before the Mk3 was great, very good value... and really easy to control power slides in corners The only thing I found with it was it was always damp inside and the seats were not as comfy. Here are my two....
  7. I'm pretty sure you can. Cool thats a selling point in its self - looking better and better Yep, you can turn it off Good luck with the hunt, I still miss mine a bit. I was one of those people who used to drive round in mid winter with the roof down... the heated seats are wicked.. really hot. The only thing it could have done with is an air scarf thingy like the SLK's
  8. Hi Stan, I had one before the Zed for 3 years, I thought it was a great car. Mine was a 2.0i with sport pack with canvas roof. I did 20k a year and motorway cruising was fine. Boot space was manageable, I think only once in 3 years did I think I wish I had a bigger boot The interior was OK as well, seats comfy, factory stereo was also good. I am 5ft 11in and slim build and found space just right, If your any taller/bigger then you might feel a little crampt. I had a few passengers who found it a bit of a squeeze MPG, I think I averaged about 32mpg most of the time... fuel tank is fairly small so you will be visiting petrol stations just as often as in the Zed.... it just costs less When driving in a spirited fashion you do need to rev fairly hard to get it to go, but they are pretty nippy If your gonna get one go with the option pack (bigger wheels, air con, heated seats etc) and the tin roof, you will find it much quieter on the move. I had a tin roof one for a day while mine was being serviced and the noise difference was very noticeable. With the Tin roof you also do not loose a boot space, just the behind seat storage is gone. The only problem I had with mine was a wiring loom which went over the engine shorted due to vibration and engine mgt light came on, Mazda fix it immediately :thumb: Over all I like them, they go well, and generally a bit of a laugh to chuck about in the corners, mine always felt very stable. Servicing and parts are also relatively cheap as well. Hope this helps Jim
  9. to the forum, I have recently been in a S2k and a Z4 and after having the Zed they do feel a little crampt, as for mpg I do a fair few miles, in and out of town and I am averaging about 24-28 mpg....though I dont drive like I am on fire (very often) nor as though I am 90 Zed is a Good choice.... just go get your self a test drive
