  1. Are you still about AliBear? Be interested to hear about what Abbey fitted and how the car is now.
  2. Ah okay Mat, how did I miss that?! See what you mean now. What brand is fitted in your photo above and any recommendation on suppliers? I think I use H&R on my BM. I'm looking for 10 or 15mm, not sure yet. Depends what the standard set up on a 2017 Nismo will allow, which I need to investigate. The front wheels in particular sit a little snug within the arches, so just need to come out a tad. Thanks.
  3. Okay, dim question time if I may. I've in the past added spacers to wheels that sit on hubs of the bolt, not stud variety. A 10mm spacer then requires a 10mm longer bolt, easy. Our Zs have studs, so when you add a spacer how is this compensated for?!
  4. From Leicester to Surrey, seriously?! I live 10 miles from Abbey and consider that to be a slight pain!
  5. That thought did run through my mind but thought best not to go there!
  6. That is just an unbelievable amount to pay. I pay £150 per year for my 2017 Nismo. Had I bought an earlier one it would have been over £500 and if mine had a list price of over £40k when new (it was just under) again, it would have been over £500. So, a 2017 model with the list price under £40k was the sweet spot. But over £1.5k? Criminal.
  7. Yes sure, there are Sussex meets every so often in normal times. Not been here long myself so yet to attend one.
  8. Welcome along - you're quite local (ish) to me.
  9. Isn't road tax ridiculously high in Ireland? My 540 (2001) would be waay over £1k, according to an owner I know over there who owns the same.
  10. Are you saying that the subject of engine oil was brought up on the MOT?
  11. Is there a smaller plinth option available? The Japanese plates are similar to US plates, so the car may have a US/Jap option.
  12. Paul - I'm considering transferring one of my "on retention" plates onto my 370Z Nismo. The likely option is just five characters like yours, enabling a reduced width plate. Not a problem with the rear, but my current full size front plate sits within the standard plinth. How have you fixed yours? I can't quite make it out from the photo. Looks good by the way...
  13. Apologies - noob alert - can you expand please on the benefits of this and what's actually being improved, how and at what cost?
  14. I look back and think how slack MOT tests could be in the 80s and 90s, prior to the internet and automation. I recall several MOT test stations that would turn a blind eye on faults for a few quid to those they knew well (that didn't include me btw!).
  15. @Nickbee Pleased to hear that things are on the up. I hope that you can concentrate on enjoying the car now. 😀
  16. Just down the Balcombe Road... 😄 I'll keep a look out for meeting announcements, as and when they're allowed.
  17. Hi, thanks for your response. Would they be monthly or just ad-hoc, and at various locations? With regards to shows, does the club attend the Bromley Pageant?
  18. In "normal" times, are there any regular monthly unofficial meets in Surrey or Sussex?
  19. I suppose that if this car's a keeper for a good few years that sort of lessens the blow of this unplanned expenditure. As you've said, some things will have needed doing anyway over the time you might keep it.
  20. Anyone here attend the Bromley Pageant? Been for a few years previously (pre-370Z life) with BMWCC GB or just as one make parking. Wondering if there's an organized Z attendance for it.
