  1. Blimey thats a bit of a blow but on the bright side you now have a blank canvas for the " modding " and by the way along.
  2. Hi all Anybody heading to Haynes this sunday for the brekky meet ?
  3. Looks very nice indeed, prefer the lighter silver to my gunmetal to be honest.
  4. I have a " moody " roof on mine, problem with the reat latch which locates into the tonneau so have taken latch of and all good, its still even 99.9% waterproof.
  5. Wouldn't say there too noisy at all and with the roof down, mmm nice
  6. Hiya, same here sorry for the late reply been away for a week, yes I have done exactly that removed the rear hook so the hood opens ok and closes ok and is also 99.9 % waterproof will propably live with it now unless I get more motivated when the weather gets a bit more user friendly for more investigating. all the best Pete
  7. Nice, along, love the lines of a roadster with the roof down.
  8. Hiya Glad you have sorted your roof now well done, my turn now Iv'e been studying your post with interest, I am more fortunate in the fact my roof opens and closes but ......... the rearmost latch will not enter the lock mech ( 9 ) am I right in thinking the mech is purely powered by parts ( 10 ) and ( 11 ) if so my mech is jamming at the point of entry so will attempt to remove it to see why it,s not " avin any " . Any ideas gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance. Pete
  9. Hi bud Welcome from a fellow newbie, like the idea of a blue one they look superb, I have the gunmetal, nice but prefer your option to be honest, hope you find one soon, have added a pic of mine.
  10. My earlier post was with rear section of roof which I now think is called the " 5th Bow " ( the section with the glass )  was struggling to close and clamp it now jam's on the lock mech ie the hook can't seem to enter the mech as if the mech is still in the locked position. I can only describe it as like a bonnet lock which has had the clasp thrown not allowing the hook to enter I have had 35 years plus in the bodywork trade so have a basic knowledge locks and catches I hasten to add all the operations opening and closing are fine just the last bit with the clamp, I have now removed the hook to enable the section to close but now obviously not secured and warning light now on,  any suggestions would be gratefully recieved ...... thanks in advance.

  13. Thanks Alex, should have read the previous post's first .... just show's what a noob I am
  14. Been checking a few other posts as its seems possibly due to the cold weather so I will keep it on until we get into double figures with the temp.
  15. Sun shining put roof down so far so good went for a bit of a blast came back roof up ..... everything ok until the last operation, the rear section seemed to be fouling on the hook / catch, it goes in but with a struggle could it be the catch needs lubing or adjusting ? any suggestions would be most welcome.
  16. Thanks for the reply, I have the same set up so I think I will go for the Cobra res like yours.
  17. Still undecided on a Cobra resonated as have heard may be a bit too " vocal " with a Roadster, any suggestions fellow Zeder's ???
