  1. I find im getting similar miles out of a tank in my 370z as i did in my XKR,albeit a 4.2... I thought the 5 litre was a little better on fuel due to better gearbox? Well if you cant get on with it,and you dont love it... Send it my way,and you can have my 370z...
  2. Styal road near the Airport.. Just caught it as it flashed past.
  3. To put it simply all the gen 1 engines can have IMS and bore score problems The larger capacity of the engine, the worse the problem can be..
  4. They havent done bad on residual values it seems..
  5. £17,930 on WBAC Yep,i agree... both PX prices are very fair... I may just try it on ebay & autotrader and take £19k (if offered),that will give me more buying power at the other end of the deal.. BMW already mentioned that the 4 series would be discounted by £1000 if a cash deal.. That said,if i had cash in hand i probably wouldnt go for either car...lol..
  6. I dont know how much better it will be,if anything but the 10k miles would add money i like to think... I have been offered £19k off a dealer in Bolton against a Mercedes C63,and £18,450 off a BMW main dealer against an 435i.. Obviuosly they can work a decent px into the selling price of the car... I dunno, neither are my "ideal",and the Z is very good so im not gonna throw it away... if i could find a deal on a 5.0 XKR though...
  7. There ya go missus..Here's a cushion .. It's not the only reason, but it's a gripe... along with non memory seating ( just a personal thing).. I have never kept a car for over a year, and the Z has been a great car.. It's a flawed genius...
  8. Yea.... Mine is 2 years newer than that though... Surely that means something ? And the extra bits the GT edition has,and the kudos of of having a limited edition... Come on........Im trying my hardest here...lol..
  9. To be fair she drives the Z a lot,i take the dog to work with me in our other motor.,, The seat base doesnt really elevate, just the pads go up and down within the frame...Even the highest bit is still low, even though she is 5,5" its really is still very low for her... I can only spot 2 other GT editions for sale at the minute....Both are auto's and one is black....White one has 45k on (£18,000),black one has 20k miles (£19,000) Is an auto worth less, more or same ? Im thinking of asking £19,995,hopefully the mileage might hold up the price over the others....
  10. Bought my 370z last year..... I actually like it much more than i admit, but could be time for it to move on now. One of the biggest reasons is my mMissus... She is only small and generally drives with the seat close up,whereas i drive with the seat right back.. But the z doesnt really have any seat base elevation like most cars,so even though she is close, she is still very low.. Its never been a problem before, even in the Jags,M5,M3's and 911's we have had... So....... Whats money am i likely to achieve for my car ? Dec 2012 370z GT edition Storm white Manual 10,400 miles FSH...Just serviced in October (P3) MOT Until Dec 2017 Has warranty until May 2017 (will check date).. All the usual extra's the the GT edition comes with...HDD,reverse camera,Anthracite alloys, suspension etc... Car is truly immaculate....bar a couple of little stonechips on the nose. I will try and sell private,if not i have had a couple of offers from traders in PX....Obviously i want to try and maximise my money though...
  11. He he.... Some people are making a good living out of "Porsche inspections"....... All cars have potential problems, the big risk with the Cayman,911 or Boxster is that if the engine does pop the repair bill is massive.. Usually way over half the cars cost.. Some people says its worth the cost and the risk..... Im not one of them people, and i have owned 3 x 911's,and not slept well on any night in my ownership of them..
  12. Do share... Sworn to secrecy................
  13. When we sold our last house and relocated to Derbyshire, the buyer said 6 days before exchange date that there circumstances have changed and they could not raise the full amount now,and they could only proceed if we could drop the house a further £8000.. We had given up jobs and closed a business, there was no way we could back out of the deal.. To say i was furious was an understatement... We agreed, they were very smug about getting one over on us... i did get sweet revenge.....lol..
  14. You will have to forgive me,i got a little excited
  15. Yes.... it does look ivory in the pics... Should have looked harder.... doh.. Perfect combo and spec for me... Wanna sell ??......lol...
  16. What colour trim.? Please dont say charcoal, please dont say charcoal.....
  17. I love the 5.0 XKR....And Kyanite blue is one of my best colours, although i thought it was quite a bit lighter. I had a 4.2 XKR and had the pulley mod done.. 465bhp and it was great.. I keep looking for a 5.0 though, will be my next car i think, although it has to be the correct spec, the 16 way vented seats are a must...
  18. The house may have had money spent on it in the last 2 years so maybe worth a little more ? If you like the house then go in around 10% off asking and negotiate from there... We live in a small rural village in Derbyshire and Our house has increased around 55% in 10 years and we supposedly bought in the high price bubble of 2007....I think prices are only going one way, despite the "price crash" that people keep saying is gonna happen.. Borrowing rates are so low now there has never been a better time to get a mortgage.. BTW Rawtenstall is lovely, and house prices are obscenely low for what you get... Cheap insurance up here too.... £214 for my Z,Fully comp with NCP and the missus covered too..... Bargain..
  19. Ended up using the DA to get all product off ... Glazed then waxed old school style...lol.. Clay bar easily removed overspray from windows where normal cleaning products wouldn't..
  20. I used to drive between Derbyshire and Solihull weekly as my fiance lived there... The roads from Lichfield to Asbourne to Buxton are nice, quick but only a few scary bits..... Plenty of roads to dive off inbetween too,and the odd pub for light refreshments if needed..
  21. Tried again as a QD...The spots and "Dappling" remain....... Also tried cleaning the screen with 2 types of automotive glass cleaner (Stoners and 3M) and had no luck.. Gonna have to break out the DA and clay bar...... Sad times.
  22. What I might do is try again but do it dry... See what happens... If not, QD then polish as a last resort .. I used a drying towel to dry so shouldn't have any spots, I never have before.. It's no biggy,I will sort it..
  23. I doubt I could photo the "spots" but they look like water spots caused by hard water... Bit of a poor explanation but the best I can do...lol They definitely wasn't there before... I think that they may QD off, if not I will whip over it with some polish..but that kinda defeats the object.. I didn't let the juice dry, that's for sure... it wasn't on the panel for more than 30 secs at the very most..
