  1. That's exactly the colour I would get the mustang in tbh. The only way a TT can compare in terms of exterior road presence is if you manage to get one in Miami Blue or Viper Green ; these are q hard to find tbh. I also don't like the TT rims even on the RS Mustang will be harder to live with day to day but is a more of a statement and head turner. Just a bit too large for me personally
  2. Really liked this video outlining Ceramic Coating and comparing to waxing and thought I'd share I think the key with the former is finding someone reliable and decent enough to get it done, in the future reapply and rectify any scratches in the ceramic coating
  3. Ive always thought that these undersold and should have a greater following . You find great examples on used market in the early £40k s on what were once retailed for £100k + Road presence, Flamboyant looks for a German car . Anyone agree? Do you guy really think that the forthcoming Z4 will be a bigger head turner to the casual observer?
  4. Fantastic yea i had a feeling the door handles are darker ; light before they were similar in colour to the Audi TT petrol cap cover if that makes sense. Now its like a gun metal / cyber grey if I'm not mistaken btw what colour have you got? Is this your first Z? I wanted a 370 for ages and finally settled on the Nismo MK2 since I think they finally nailed the styling and interior
  5. I will be collecting mine next week but have been informed that the 18 Nismos have a dediscted button inside where the 3 blanks are to open the rear hatch
  6. Thanks again I forgot to mention about running in the car? This is my first brand new car so is there anything to know when running the car in?
  7. Thanks for the replies. I only learnt about the upkeep of pearlescent paint in the last few weeks. I was tempted to go for the silver since I think it goes well on the car ; however I think the white makes the car look more expensive and flamboyant despite fact that there are many many white cars on the roads these days Re interior would you recommend the following? https://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/product/gtechniq-i1-ab-smart-fabric-anti-bacterial-for-fabrics-500ml/ There is a video out there showing it applied to a convertible rag top and the water droplets fall off rather than absorb into it if that makes sense; was thinking that this may be of use for the seats and lower part of door that is finished in alcantara?
  8. Hi there after years literally of researching and thinking back and forth about getting a 370z I finally signed a deal late last year and will be expecting my new 370z Nismo to arrive next month I have a couple of questions regarding looking after the vehicle and would really appreciate if you guys can assist since this is my first Z! Paint & Wheel Protection: The car will be pearlescent white and I have heard that this colour is difficult should there be any scuffs on the car. Do you recommend AVOIDING the cheap but convenient car wash places and doing it by hand at home . Also recommended products you can advise ? Alcantara interior: Is there any tried and tested product that I can use to maintain the interior most notably the steering wheel? Car Cover: I am looking to invest in an outdor car cover; any recommended covers? Or would you guys advise against in case the cover "scratches" the pain when removing/putting it on? Do you think I should invest in protection film at the front of the car in order to prevent stone chips? If so then would it be apparent that I have done this to the car upon casual inspection? Really appreciate if you lot can help out. I'm in the process of buying dash cam and some other stuff as the days count down!
  9. Do you think it would sell for 26k? lol What in your opinion are the primary reasons this hasnt sold all this time? Ive seen Nismo Mk2s come and get sold within 6 wks on average and I would consider them NOT be quick sellers (though I think most 2 seater sports cars being a tough sell thesedays)
  10. Thanks for the replies guys I have always had a soft spot for Corvettes although its only recently that with my 30k budget that they have come bk in mind. I have seen the C6 in real life and its not as big as it people make out imo. Maybe the Z06 and Grand Sport versions with wider wheel arches but these are v v rare on UK roads. I am going to check out the C6 on sale but once I'm back from holiday (if its still there ha) The 370z Nismo Mk2 really nails it stylistically though exterior&in and I feel that it really looks comparable to German rivals and would look a bit different in a good way down here in the South East
  11. Have yet to own a Z but test driven the 370 numerous times. Sat in the Nismo seen all colours in the flesh except silver. Looking to get the white one . Im pleased they all come fully loaded and no need to spec them up. Yea that vette isnt really the visually most eye catching example but low miles and has the LS3 engine. Im not sure whether it will be more of a head turner than the Nismo tbh ; the Nismo is v rare and turns more heads than a new TT or boxter. I would really position it in terms of road presence on the same level as an F type or 911 ( ok maybe until people notice the badge ha). I might check out the Vette next weekend and first noticed it on Ph/AT a couple of months ago.
  12. I have been keeping an eager eye on a Nismos and looking to buy in the next couple of months; They seem to be hovering at the £28-30k mark second hand 2016 models with minimal miles on it However I have recently come across this which has been on sale for a month or so (possibly longer). https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201607135824636?advertising-location=at_cars&radius=200&model=CORVETTE&make=CHEVROLET&sort=sponsored&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&postcode=nw102ae&page=1 I have always had a soft spot for Corvettes but the new C7s are totally out of budget and the old classic (pre C5) ones will be high mileage, costly to maintain etc. This example is roughtly the same cost as a Nismo. What do you guys think? In terms of road presecence which one has it? I know interior wise the Nismo is far more modern. Also LHD auto (Vette) vs RHD manual (Nismo) which would be an easier to drive on UK roads in the South East? Im thinking with a wrap the C6 could be a looker.
  13. As per title... the Tokyo motor show is in late Oct Potentially looking to buy a Nismo Z in late Sep. Any guess as to when the new car will be unveiled. Now heard that 2019 may be an idea since that is the 50th yr anniversary of the Z brand
  14. Ive heard a few people say that about the Mk1 - though replacement parts will be higher I think the Mk2 has a wider appeal tho and more potential to tempt car buyers that traditionally go German than the MK1 which has a more Jap street racer image
  15. Hi there Am seriously considering purchasing a Mark 2 Nismo but am slightly concerned with the feedback re the clutch. Basically how long does it take to get used to the clutch's high biting point and ensuring smooth upshifts from 1-2-3? I am coming from a VW DSG gearbox . Occasionally drive manual cars but only small engined cars. Thanks
  16. It will be interesting to see how rare this car turns out to be on UK Roads The Q30 is q common though the premium hatch market its in is more attainable to the masses The Q60 will be competing head on with the C Class/A5 Coupes & 4 Series so I expect less to sell ensuring its rarity
  17. Having just seen the new Honda Civic S this morning (also in white), I have to say that the car does have more road presence then your typical German hatch; instead of clean lines there is so much going on plus they are (and will continue to be) less of a daily sight on the road I can imagine the Type R would be even more so ; as someone else mentioned it really is a 25 yr olds wet dream lol
  18. anyone else have any info when the V6 400hp is going to be available here? On autotrader its just the 2.0s Re styling I dont see the issue with the C-pillar Those rims however dont "look special" enough esp if one opted for the V6 Quick opinion; Red or (Light) Silver
  19. The more I look at the Boxter in the flesh the less it looks special tbh esp esp in London where I am. The GT4 and Spyder are out of budget Any news on the next gen Z car? End of 2017 maybe? Been trawling the net for info on this. Has this been put on the backburner by Nissan do you reckon
  20. Interesting feedback. Ive considered Lotus but since they are pretty much all manual this rules them out for me If one views the 4C as a cut price supercar for weekend use only it seems like a good buy; head turning looks, rare, will age well stylistically compared to German cars similar priced If there happens to be a fully loaded Boxter with the right miles and exotic colour (Olympia Blue) then I may go for that. But then again I still think that the only Porsches that look special in years to come are the 911 Turbos, GT cars As a leftfield option I was toying with a yank motor Corvette Z06 or even the new Covette Stingray which will have plummeted in price by then . I also like the previous generation end of life cycle facelifted Mustang (2014) . These would obviously have far higher running and maintenance costs but the feel good factor would be on a similar level to the 4C
  21. Toyed around with the idea of a 370z Nismo Mk2 but cant really live with the manual transmission after over 5 yrs driving auto boxes (standard, DSG, tiptronic) Looking possibly in a year or so for a weekend car so trying to envisage what would be on the list come late 2017/18. In case your about to ask why not buy now, Im happy with my daily drivers and plus the yrs in ones 30s seem to fly by. Do you think purchasing an Alfa 4C is as crazy as it sounds or do you reckon its better to go for a Boxter 3.4 /Boxter GTS. At the mo 4Cs are late £40s and I expect to come down only slightly in comparison to the Boxters £50-60k currently but by then would have dropped to the same level as the 4Cs (correct me if you think im wrong on this one)
  22. I usually have a 2.5-3 yr ownership period with primary cars i drive . i dont want the honeymoon novelty period to wear off after only 12 months after purchase. Having a lovely interior like the Nismo and the German marques (maybe psychologically?) make me attached to the car and enjoy owning them . I walked past a 2 door Golf R and the cloth sports seats and chunky flat bottomed steering wheel looked like a place to be in during those regular long car journeys . I know its not an exotic thing to look at but with decent examples below £25k, its a car which has q a long period before the "novelty" period wears thin
  23. The standard GT car left me underwhelmed in terms of interior styling (seats, steering wheel) and exhaust note/sounds. Also real world power didnt really blow away 3.2 V6 Audi Quattro engines I'm used to driving. The main plus point is the road presence and rarity the car brings to the table. However for c.£17-22k , this is a fair amount to pay for a car with visible flaws The Mk2 Nismo solves this problem and is great value at £28k. Really looks the part even compared to Porsches but cant live with the manual gearbox Thinking of now exploring the idea of hunting for a 370z Roadster if can find a good used example. Just have a feeling the Nismo is a car is more of a keeper whilst the standard spec 370s would leave me wanting to get rid of it after about 18 months basically as the cabin doesnt make you feel special inside
  24. Do you think the total cost could exceed £30k or even 35k which creeps into nice Boxter territory?
  25. As per title I am looking at importing a Japanese Nismo (mk2 2015>) I love the styling interior and out. However I need an auto transmission Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated with regard to going about how to import one and what to look out for (conversion costs, possible maintenance work, MOT etc) Thanks
