They are an MOT fail if not working, however I don't know if most bother to check them. I guess it's a case of if they're there they must be working.

Hi and welcome along buddy. Have you got a video of this for reference? I am not sure I could hep you out but it does sound a little strange. I have an Invidia Gemini on my 1st 370z and had no issues at all with it even when I had high flow cats fitted. I would hope it is something simple though.

Always nice to see the giving and sharing of love within this Z community.

Hi Martin, we’re great thanks. Hope you guys are all well? We would love too but we have prior commitments throughout august and September, unfortunately. We will have to have a weekend down there at some point in the future though.
