I get that it felt like a waste of time. Its not the final nail in the coffin yet. Thankfully its still a concept. Im glad most of the speculation turned out to be true regarding heritage, Engine, design cues which still need some work. UK market is still somewhat open minded. We still want our ICE cars. We still love our Zs. The GTR esque Grill. I never posted that render i felt it looked a bit wild at the time. Low and behold it was actually close in terms of overall shape. Guess the Grill is the real beef.

guys guys, there is always the GR 86
-
Yes sir!! Not the end. The 8 week wait is worth it . Then no need for HPCs since its not official here. Straight to Luton. Win win. For South owners Any takers for the Norf and beyond?!
-
Lol just dont take it to a HPC.....we will see. If you dont ask you dont get. Ill believe it when I see it from the CEO They can set up a petition and gauge it from there. UK is more open to it than Europe. But if it actually doesnt come can import just a case of cost and is it really worth the added cost if shipping. Probably not for some.
-
Only at the right price anything north of £45,000 could be a hard sell.......They probably read the forums over the last 4 years and thought nah f*** that... ungrateful b******s .... Either way ill wait for more news from actual Nissan workers. Autocar may have jumped the gun to get news out and get people talking. Its not official. Like Stanski said most likely a ploy to test peoples enthusiasm for a new car. Then they can decide.

Messaged a GTR sales guy today from main dealer HPC and he says management have asked for the car in UK. Frankly who cares about Europe. The adaptation for EU will send the prices further up. Brexit Speaking of Europe one guy claimed he had to import the 370 nismo to his country. So that might be the case for them. Rear lights are too narrow and small.....
-
Looks like they may have redesigned the grill during the modelling process. Im sure many saw this render back in May lol Would you rather have this grill?
-
Agree!
-
Guess its import then lol...All pinch of salt for now I already messaged a Nissan guy hopefully we can find out whats going on before year end lol. Until then im sure some people wont want to discuss something that may not be coming this way Things can change and effort could be made for UK market if demand is there. Europe is a different case. Remember Brexit means we dont necessarily have to comply with EU law in its fullest. Maybe someone can fill us in on EU Environmental law and any memberships we hold. Isnt that why we voted out for more freedom and self determination? Let us know lol
-
Yes but we,ll see if we even get the car. lol. Need more interest...
-
This car was probably built last year lol. The grill needs tweaking for sure. Rear lights need widening
-
They really love the USA market 1.3 out of 1.8 million sold wow....
-
Lol they got another video going
-
Jap guy is Tamura lol GTR chief engineer.
-
Aside from the front grill being to square i like it so far. Maybe they can rework it to make it more imperfect lol...Its very straight
-
digital dash...Not Final Product though. Interior interesting. Rear lights individual area should be wider. They seem small Confirmed twin turbo

4 years of speculation and insults have lead to this moment. Grab a drink. Log in! Ekona can join us at lunch time tomorrow

lol..... Stories that turned out to be true though in regards to a facelift etc. Youll see how close the renders are in a few minutes. The only thing that will be different will probably the front bumper grill area. Page 1 and some other pages I mentioned it being a facelift. Which is why the 370 comments are funny. I expect a physical car too. But hey I digress. Bringing you the good stuff always! Friends?

Carrera or 4S or Turbo S or GT3 or GT2 lol...I cant keep up literally

When I traded in the 350Z with its full custom exhaust waking up the town. I felt a bit sad. Being a passenger as the salesman drove it was great. The 370 was a more refined version. Yeah its bulkier and seating position is higher. The extra power was great and increased road presence much better. A bit thirstier but forgiving all the same. A bit of work could be done to make it better especially extra sound deadening carpets in the trunk and wheel wells. An exhaust and uprated clutch. I went in my brothers naturally aspirated 2015 911 carrera. 350hp. Acceleration 4 seconds and under. Just great noise and character. Noisy exhaust from factory and pdk. He paid £80,000 used. I got the 350 and 370 before he did. I think i had to agree it was a great car before it got written off. Rare spec. Id still class the 370z as refined compared to the 350 DE. Thats just me or maybe I need to raise my standard lol

I think for Z owners is an alternate take on the sports GT area. Also costs and rarity factor are also points. Ill get a cayman as ive been a fan since uni days. Its a great medium between 911 and Boxster. I also think given time the Z could go that route in terms of weight and driveability. My Ideal Z Nismo would be similar to a cayman GT4 power and weight wise. But they are just very different cars. with the former a bit bigger and over 100kg heavier. Interesting to see if the new Z car is Turbo how far they go with the Nismo power and weight?! @Ekona have you tried the nismo 370 maybe you can compare it with a cayman S or GT4 and see what the differences are. You might prefer the analogue steering in the nismo and the power/weight in the cayman. Handling wise i think they be level in terms of balance and grip. Cayman being lighter probably edges it.
-
Lool fair enough. Choosing a Z over a Porsche....Was everything okay back then? No one can argue that a 2.7/3.4 cayman are very good cars. As for reliability not sure. Maybe the new GTS are the go to now. Different strokes I guess. Just have deep pockets and easy on the throttle. Morning prayers before switching on a cold rainy day. If the criticism is weight then Nissan are trying to address it with Carbon Fiber production for future products. Gearing thats down to engineers as well as power. By the time all that is ready price of carbon fiber and cars would be slightly up we may be moving away from ICE. Unless Methanol can be invested in as an alternative. Then we need infrastructure. Whole other discussion.

a guy called bike racer had a 911 turbo but ended up buying a Nismo Supercharged. He also had GTR and M4. There are many that could have bought a lot of things but chose the crappy 370Z lol...I love my crap...It doesnt break like the RS5 diff......officially gassed anyone? 10k bill....ill just call my bank...not to mention my brother bought a 350 off a 911 owner....lol funny Scottish guy..complaints galore....Each to their own....you like what you like....
-
Lol Thats Porsche though. They could recycle and get away with it. Hell the car could look the same for 25 years but whos counting?
-
Thats what it is. As stated at the beginning of the thread. The 'insider'/shareholder story. A heavy facelift....only way it was approved.
