  1. So would you see a power & torque increase on a dyno seeing as the engine isn't working as hard anymore ??? Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  2. As per title, I fitted the Xtreme HR kit to my car, the flywheel is approximately half the weight of the OEM dual mass. The car revs up and down much more freely. I understand there will be less inertia on the crank now due to the lightened flywheel but does this actually make the car quicker in anyway shape or form ?
  3. Let us know how you get on, most importantly find out if it drones at motorway speeds, if it does I won't bother but if not I'm definitely doing this 😉 Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  4. Sounds mint, I have considered doing this myself, if anyone has an OEM backbox for cheap near Hull Pm me and I will have it off you so I can do this mod please. Just hope it doesn't drone !

  6. Probably compression arm bushes buddy, if they are gone the arm sits on the sub frame and knocks when you hit a bump. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

    ACF 50

I kind of thought the only drawback with ACF 50 would be the 1yr lifespan on the part that it has been applyed to, I would like something more permanent but ACF 50 is clear and easy to apply. A lot of other products when applied are black or brown and look a bit unsightly sometimes. Alex can you post a proper link to what you were suggesting please, thanks. Any other recommendations on a good quality tried & tested product to use ?

    ACF 50

Opinions on ACF 50 please, has anyone used it ? What did you think ? I'm planning on removing all of the arch liners, cleaning then spraying ACF 50 as a preventative measure for rust. Any info appreciated.
  9. Just replaced my compression arm bushes, impact driver is an absolute must it made life soooo easy, only ballache I had were the two split pins snapping so I drilled them both out and replaced with new.
  10. Anybody got the following which is in the title lying around they want rid of ? Have to be brand new. Thought I would give it a shot before buying from a trader. Cheers. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  11. Anyone have a short shifter on their Z ? If so how do you find it, any drawbacks like knotcheyness or vibrations etc. Is it worth doing ? I've been looking at the B&M short shifter in particular, any info would be much appreciated. Is it the same fitment for every Z, I know gearboxes differ so assume there is a possibility that one might not fit all. Cheers.
  12. Got them on mine, the rear bumper had to be removed for the install. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  13. Managed to swap both bushes out this morning, took 3 1/2hrs in total, that time included turning a sleeve in the lathe to press the old bushes out and most importantly making a brew 😉 Steering feels slightly sharper and bumps in the road feel dampened, oh and most importantly no more knocking 😊 Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  14. Purchased some Whiteline bushes from Clark Motorsport buddy but thanks anyway.
  15. I'm pretty sure it's the bush, I sprayed it with silicone grease and it slid straight back into place and the knocking has actually stopped. Both pretty knackered so getting replaced hopefully on Saturday morning. Will let you know how long it takes Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah I've seen the bush end bolts sieze and snap the bolt, luckily I'm a Hydraulic Engineer so we have an Impact driver at work and hydraulic press etc. So hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a ballache to do. Ended up getting some Whiteline bushes from Clark Motorsport to replace the knackered ones.

    Wheel nuts

Are these the same as the Tarmacsportz Tuner nuts ? Do both styles fit standard Rays ? Cheers
  18. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't even pair my key, just popped it in run the car for 15 minutes by which point the alarm had stopped then all was ok after that.
  19. Had the car on stands today, drivers side compression arm bush looks to be shot, I followed your advice with left foot braking and knocking continued on a bumpy stretch of road. I also carried out the 12-6 movement on the wheel but could not get any movement whatsoever so ball joints seem to be ok. Looks like I will be re-bushing both arms, just need to find a trader who sells Superpro compression arm bushes at a good price. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  20. Had the same issue before when fitting a new battery, start the engine and let it run for 15 minutes. The alarm will be sounding whilst the car is idling but it will go off after a while.
  21. I thought it was more common for the bush to fail rather than the ball joint itself on the compression arm ! Could be wrong but majority I have seen on here have just replaced the standard bushes with poly bushes.
  22. Pretty sure the answer will be compression arm bushes but just to confirm, when I go over a bump and sometimes when turning I get a squeaky noise from the front end passenger side and sometimes I can hear a faint knocking noise. Pretty sure its the compression arm bushes from reading other posts on the forum but would just like confirmation before splashing out £200 on some Superpro bushes. Anyone else had similar issue ? Thanks in advance.
  23. I know for a fact my HR hits just over 100mph in 3rd but as stated above different rev range so not sure about the DE ! 2nd is roughly 70mph.
  24. I bought my Z so I didnt have to use my motorbike all year round, used bike for 5yrs without any issues riding in all weathers, I once had to push it out of the street to get onto the main road because the snow was that thick. Z is like any other car I have driven in the snow, just keep Traction on and you shouldn't have an issue. If you are flapping that much let a bit of air out the tyres !
