  2. I did this, with loads of photos too, so now when I want to find a pic on my phone I have to browse through tons of blurry firework pics and videos! lol

I've got to change the brake pads, and while spending money on the Z I thought I'd get some new fans as I've had it overheat in serious traffic. What are the best fans for the Z? Are they easy to swap?
  4. I often get people trying to bait me to race, usually lads around my age in a Corsa or Clio, I just ignore them and drive how I want to . As for the giving way, I find that people are often surprised when a guy in a sports car gives way, so you definitely get a nice wave or thumbs up.
  5. I was given the option of having a black box and saving £50, I declined (I'm 23). I really don't understand getting a black box to save £50 annually, that's a few quid a month. Each to their own though .
  6. The above video fixed my issue, I find it happens sometimes when the passenger seat is moved.
  7. Is it 100% legal? Don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic, but I'm wary of legal issues surrounding lights.
  8. I love watching my girlfriend get in or out of my Z, she always jokes it's impossible to get out without exposing her dignity! LOL! She does get a little annoyed because I don't really drive it to hers often, her drive is on a blind corner and you can't just reverse off, you have to do some odd maneuvering and then drive off a full curb, not a dropped curb, at speed so you don't get hit from behind! That's OK in her dads Van or her Yaris, but no way am I driving my Z off a high curb like that, the front is way too low. She understood after I took her to some shops near her and going over a speedbump the front lip very slight scraped underneath, causing a sound, and she turned to me and said "Fair enough!".
  9. With any RWD car you have to be careful in the wet and when going around corners. If it doesn't feel safe, don't do it.
  10. Nothing worse than hearing that scrape of the alloys when you're trying to park really carefully! Glad all is well .

  12. Hi all, I did a search but the posts I could find are really old! Anyone know a good place to get a service in Southend, Essex? Cheers, Joe.
  13. It's awesome getting nice comments from strangers . The Z is a stunning car.
  14. Man, I can't believe someone actually did that to your car . Really sorry to see those pics, especially after all of the hard work that went into your Z. Was it just parked outside your house and that happened?
  15. Wow! Absolutely love it.
  16. My Z has been my daily since Christmas last year and I absolutely love it. I drive 23 miles to work every day, and 23 miles back. On a bi-weekly basis I drive up to Coventry, which 126 miles there and 126 miles back. The only time she really gets a rest is at the weekend or in the evenings because I'm often out drinking with friends, and I religiously use a breathalyzer every morning after a night out (you'd be surprised how long it takes to get back to below the limit, even after plenty of food and sleep), so my girlfriend or friends ferry me home. The thing that irritates me is stone chips, prepare for lots of them! Especially if you plan on doing any motorway driving. I'm always respectful and leave plenty of room between myself and the driver in-front, but I get stone chips anyway. Speed bumps are quite irritating too, but when you get the hang of going over on one wheel and not caring about the Corsa that's driving right up your arse then it's not a problem. Boot space is actually generous, a big shopping trip with the girlfriend has always been fine. Petrol consumption is expensive, but I can claim back a lot of the work trips and even with my engine size it often makes money (they take into account wear and tear of the car), so that doesn't really bother me. I always use Shell Nitro too. We also don't buy these cars expecting good MPG, so there can't really be any complaints there. If anything, I love having 2 seats. It's a great excuse not to drive the guys anywhere! Instead we all have to squeeze into my mates XR2i in order to have any lads trips, which suits me fine. Lastly, be careful driving in damp conditions. It goes without saying, but a powerful RWD car in the wet is not ideal, however as this is my only car it's all I have. Just be respectful and take some care, then driving in the wet is absolutely fine. I will never, ever drive in snow. I'd borrow a car if I needed to.
  17. How would I go about getting the Z badge on the cubby like that? Is it a simple case of buying a badge and sticking it on? Are there any clearance issues? I think that looks fantastic .
  18. LOL!! Terrible typo. You know you don't like a car when you can't even spell its name correctly .
  19. 23. 0 no claims bonus, but no accidents (was abroad for too long and my insurance claims expired). £680 per year with all mods declared and insured, £20 of that is for business use. I keep mine in a locked garage overnight. I think maybe your location maybe something to do with it?
  20. It's the "It looks like a Porsche!" comment that makes me flinch a little. I've had people come up to me and ask "Is that 350Z?" and have a little look around, which I'm happy to oblige, and then they ask if it's a manual or automatic... They literally just sat in it and I've had this question before. Never had anyone ask if it's a diesel though.

Going to take it to a body shop, it's important for reselling that I get all work done professionally, I'm not the most DIY guy. Thanks .

Erm. Yeah, repair it myself is possible. I guess this was more of a rant at myself to be honest .

Really dropped a bollock yesterday at work. I share an office with a lot of Mountune guys, we don't work together, we literally just happen to share an office. I was really late for a meeting and pulled into a space at a weird angle, I reversed to straighten up and thought I was going to clear the cars wing mirror next to me by a couple of inches, but ended popping off the outer case of their driver side wingmirror like an absolute idiot, in-front of like 20+ engineers... Oh how they laughed at me. But, they were really cool, and used their own shop to fix it at no cost, so I'm buying them a bottle of Jack Daniel's to say thanks/sorry. Now, onto the Z. I have some paintwork to repair now on my passenger wing mirror, I'm surprised how well it stood up, but it needs fixing. I'll post a photo up later, but there's some scratch marks that's completely taken off the paint. What's the best way of going about this? Ego thoroughly bruised, never rush to a meeting in your Z!!! edit: This is the first time I've ever done something like this, I usually take pride in my driving .
  24. Managed to get alongside you, but you had your shades on and were too cool to wave back! LOL
  25. Flew past each other, had my window down and waved like an idiot at you lol.
