  1. Great, thanks for your help Alex.
  2. That's good to hear. Is it a part you can supply? Please could you give me a price? I'll have a look and decide if it'll be a garage job or not or the weekend, I've got plenty of tools so hopefully it's something sensible!
  3. Morning chaps, A few days ago the "Check Engine" light illuminated on the dash, engine still seems to run find but just resetting the codes didn't fix it (the old Microsoft method). I asked one of the guys at work to check the codes for me using the OBD and it returned the code P1031 - A/F SEN1 HTR (B1). Can anyone shed any light on where/what this sensor is and whether fixing it is likely to be a simple task or a garage job? (I've got a screen shot of the code from the CONSULT system if it's of any use.) Thanks.
  4. Seems like a common issue! Might try to do mine this weekend too.
  5. I bought the 350Z when the wife was 20 odd weeks pregnant and she test drove it and signed off the purchase. We do have a practical family wagon too though, they'd not be so practical as an only car!
  6. It's going to be fixed up properly by a bodyshop and work will have no issue with paying for it. There's no chance of the bootlid being straightened out, it's creased the inner panel and is a completely different shape in that area now than it was 24hrs ago.
  7. Yeah it was one of the forklift drivers at work, to be fair he owned up and apologised, they took it into the workshop and tidied it up as much as possible but told me to get a quote and they'll pay for the repairs. I'm really glad it was this way instead of being another private driver and having to deal with insurances! Can't imagine this'll be a cheap job to fix but I had some nasty scratches on the boot lid so this'll be a way to get those fixed anyway!
  8. So parked in the car park at work today the poor thing was attacked by a forklift carrying a car body. (Yes really!) Can anyone recommend a body shop in the MK/Bedfordshire area to have a look at it? Bumper, boot lid, roof (creased very slightly at the back) need fixing/replacing. Luckily the lamp and body panel seem straight still.
  9. Is that relating to my fact? I saw another post saying Nissan Spent over 2 years tuning the exhaust but no reference to the Ferrari. Thus I conclude that mine is a new factoid.
  10. I heard a good one this week I can't verify the truth though. When the first Fairlady Z came to the UK for testing it sounded crap with the JDM exhaust. Nissan Europe hired a Ferrari 360 and studied it with a view to making the exhaust sound as close as possible to the 360 (it's a while since I drove a 360 but from memory it's not dissimilar).
  11. We did the same as well but luckily realised when we found it was bloody hard to get the top of the strut to fix to the boot lid!
  12. These look like Rays to me. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/106723-spacers-fitted/#entry1599198 I've got them fitted with Rays too but don't have any pics to hand unfortunately.
  13. It's pretty bloody miserable in Cranfield. I think binning it off for another night is a good idea. Plus it means I don't have to wash the car this evening before the meet!
  14. I was driving through a village recently and two young boys shouted 'awesome car' at me. Also me in the grey 'zed and my mate in his ginger zed stopped at McDonald's drive through one in front of the other. Two girls walked past and said to each other 'how weird, two cars the same but different colours'!
  15. Assuming the weather plays ball I'll be there with the 350Z and have some mates joining with a 350Z and 370Z Nismo.
  16. Good post Adrian, out of interest anyone know if the Swiss have issues with any of the above? I've been there a few times and it always seems like they cope alright being on the outside.
  17. It was a garage in Cranfield, Beds not a specialist in Zed's by any means, but ive had a few jobs done there and never had a problem.
  18. I paid ~£260 for the same job on mine last September. From memory the main dealer wanted ~£500 for the job.
  19. Yes, what I want to hear is a clear set of directions. If we stay we get Xxx. If we leave we get Yyy. Stay or go is a bit vague, if we end up like Switzerland or Norway I'm sure many would be happy, if we end up like North Korea then maybe not so happy!
  20. Just under £4k for 120k mile '04 plate last September and it's cost me £250 for a wheel bearing so far. No rust on the bodywork either. I got lucky I think! Bet the bugger breaks on the way home tonight!
  21. Thanks Adrian, I don't want to delay the group buy, so I'll contact you separately about one when I've saved my pennies a bit! (Aka negotiated with the finance director!)
  22. When do you reckon the order would be placed Adrian? I'd like the plenum spacer but this month is a bit too tight financially.
  23. The wife and sprog are abandoning me for the week so assuming I'm in the country I'll try to make it to this one. 1. matt89 2. Kbad 3. SUPRAWOOKIE 4.Deano94 5.daryl - drop a pm closer to time 6. RD 7.Cyder 8. 9. 10.
  24. It's a fair point Ekona, for many of us it's really not worth our driving licences to get a charge for something like dangerous driving. Certainly my employer would take a very dim view indeed. I had the pleasure of drifting a 350Z at Millbrook a year or two back on the handling pad when on training for work and it always sticks in my mind how rubbisb I was at it and how quickly it snapped the other way and I don't fancy doing that on the public roads!
