  1. Yes I was being well behaved for a change! It was find for the rest of the journey just this one stretch through a particular village where the road was unbelievably slippery. I did the 2nd gear foot flat to the floor thing at a mates farm at the weekend, she does good skids on ice! Should have done some donuts when I had the chance too!
  2. I suddenly gained a whole load of respect for the zed tonight when the back stepped out on me in 3rd gear 25mph under gentle acceleration through a village. It certainly woke me up and grabbed my attention!
  3. Small mods today, fitted a new rear number plate removing the dealer logo and adding 'NISSAN 350Z' in the middle at the bottom. Also fitted LED number plate bulbs. Tomorrows job is to fit the LED sidelights and silver indicator bulbs on the front then delete the front number plate surround and for the same kind of plate to the front. Also planning to cleanup the cloudy headlamps tomorrow. Zed afternoon!
  4. Just found out work are putting me on an aeroplane and posting me to Barcelona for a few days on the 26/27th so I can't attend anymore I'm afraid. Still, Barcelona is always a good place to go and get paid for it! 1. SUPRAWOOKIE 2. matt89 3.Deano94 4. OliverB 5. kbad 6. parello9 7. Kayla 8. RD - Forged GT4 9. teddy 10.

    Cheap MPSS?

Bugger! I've been hunting for a good deal on tyres for the past few days and didn't spot this, it's a cracking deal. Settled on 2 rear RE05A's fitted for £240 in the end through tyreshopper.
  7. As well as a meet in MK, maybe a runout up the B660 from Bedford is in order early one morning. It's a corker of a road in a car like a zed.
  8. As soon as my clutch goes I fancy one of these, struggling to convince management that a preemptive change is a good idea though!
  9. I'm halfway between MK an Bedford and know a couple of other guys not on this forum with zeds in the MK area
  10. Just had a look through the thread, yep it was definitely his!
  11. Driving through Bedford yesterday early afternoon I passed a bright green 370Z on a 59 plate with a bodykit (maybe Nismo kit?) near the town centre. Then a few miles further out near the A421 on the A6 I was passed by a grey GT-R heading south. I was in the clean grey 350Z, I'd given it a rare birthday and paid for her to be washed. Must be feeling ill! I'm seeing more and more Zed's and GT-R's around the area. There must be enough for a meet in the area!
  12. I had to buy some yesterday for a top-up and after reading on the internets about 350Z requirements ended up getting some DIII Comma stuff I think.
  13. We test drove the zed when my missus was 25 weeks gone, I convinced her that we have her Audi A3 as a family wagon and thus the zed can stay for solo journeys or if I take sproglet for a jaunt without Mummy! Amazingly she fell for it, Apple juice is due next Friday so we'll see if the agreement is remembered for long. Either way I'm keeping the zed!
  14. Dammit I gave in and ordered some too. Stockpiling them in the shed with my new DS2500 brakes for when they need changing in the not too distant future.
  15. Thanks chaps I've sent that ebay link over to him. The one in Cople is an auto sadly. Thanks veil side, I think £5k is the absolute limit he'll go to, good point about making an offer.
  16. Thanks for that I've sent him a link to the ad. I think for under £5k if it's not a dog it's going to be high mileage.
  17. A friend of mine is after a 350Z and is looking to spend around £4500. Ideally he wants one with the RAYS wheels and GT Pack but I think he'd consider most in this budget in standardish condition with clean bodywork. Bonus points if it's blue! If anyone knows of one for sale at or around £4500 please let me know so he can join the club! Thanks
  18. A 1998 Peugeot 106 1100cc for £1600 in 2004. I loved that car, it could be driven flat out everywhere and had lift off oversteer for added fun. Also it handbrake turned an absolute treat! In a weird sort of way I still miss it now.
  19. Haha I know the feeling, mine drinks like Paul Gascoigne, then whenever i drive the wife's A3 TDi I'm always suspicious of the fuel gauge because the blighter doesn't move at all! Still I don't care, I didn't buy a dirty great V6 to be frugal and save the polar bears.

    DS3000 pads

I've used DS2500's in loads of road cars and they're good hot and cold, but I agree with the others that DS3000's would be rubbish on the road. The first attempt to stop on the cold brakes would certainly grab your attention!
  21. Yeah I try to fill up at Tesco in MK instead of the Shell garages as its so much cheaper there. I've driven around the past 3 days playing the fuel light lottery until I can get there tomorrow!
  22. I usually use Momentum as frankly Tesco is much cheaper than the Shell garages near where I live. Though handily if I have to splash and dash there's a Shell garage on the outskirts of the village. Interestingly since I've had the car and only run it on V-Power or Momentum the dodgy fuel gauge seems to have reduced the frequency of giving dubious readings. I wondered if the fuel was cleaning the contacts up and improving perhaps the previous only was only using poverty fuel. ( thankfully she didn't seem the type to take it over 5k RPM on a regular basis)
  23. Seems there's a few of us in the area, it's just quote rare to see each other on the road!
