  1. I want to lower the 350z a bit, not slam it, just fancy a little drop with springs to loose the arch gap. I have 20'' rims which pretty much come in line with arches without spacers, and the front arches have been rolled by a previous owner. On the back there is plenty of room to drop it, but on the front its around 35mm, without anyone in. So, is it safe to lower it down, say, 20mm, and would it firm it up with better springs, minimize the chance of drop when someones in it? I know its a stupid noob question but I have never done suspension. Heres a photo of the wheel turned. I obviously would like it to do this after its lowered lol
  2. just picked my copy of Banzai up, fare play it looks great, well done with the zed
  3. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1436.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item33a7c14679 oh yes sorry forgot to mention where I got it from, it was the second one, but cheaper here be 10k boost
  4. Ah here he is now yes I didnt think it would - but would the ECU reset keep it off? Yes it did spit out alot of crap, the neighbours werent impressed, with my black clouds on day with blue sky, or the sound of the zed revving for about 20 minutes!
  5. Well the guys on here who were raving about it are not known for falling for gimmicks, that's why I tried it.
  6. I was the same as these guys - bought the 350z when the misses was 20 weeks pregnant with the first, we have a focus for days out though good luck with the Range Rover and baby!
  7. Will do, the reason I tried it yesterday was the engine check light came on, the garage did a quick code reading and it came back with 02 sensor, so I wondered if a quick clean through may help, that and an ECU reset this morning and the light is off. I cant say for sure but it may have had something to do with that. I will take it out for a spin at lunch time to try throttle response etc - my drive to work is a slow one so wouldn't really feel much
  8. I got mine from eBay second hand, £190 instead of the £900 odd quid new. After a clean up it looked great. I suggest keep your eye on eBay as I have seen about 3 or 4 in the last few months
  9. Well I went and used the stuff anyway, and this is what I did to use it: Step 1: Find someone else to sit in the drivers seat (I used the misses, who was under strict instructions. Step 2: Pop the bonnet and remove the filter - mine is a stock box with K&N panel filter, I just whipped this out. Step 3: Get helper to start the car, and rev up to 1500rpm, and hold it there. Step 4: Spray 10k boost EGR cleaner in 1 second bursts into air filter - the engine will sound like its going to conk out when you do it so let it gather itself again, and do it again. Step 5: Every 10 or so sprays, leave for 5 minutes. Step 6: Continue to repeat until the can is empty - helper can slowly increase revs to 2500rpm. do not go over 3000rpm at any point! Step 7: Finally leave the car running at idle for 10 minutes then its safe to turn it off and go find a cup of tea. Not sure how much it has changed the car, but it is meant to be good to flush it out so surely is worth it for £6-7! George
  10. I am looking for advice on this, I bought a can of EGU cleaner after seeing a random comment on here of a raving review for the stuff. If it definitely ok to use with the zed? Do i literally spray it straight into the intake? I have searched google and the forums 'search' button but didnt have much luck?
  11. I like them, they look like spiders. Too be honest, I have 20'' on mine, and can keep up quite happily with the zeds with smaller wheels on tight country roads, so not sure how much it effects the handling.
  12. Another corker was my mate bought a modified golf, he said it needed a couple of things fixing but nothing bad. Went for a spin and the door fell off! That was a great laugh but sadly wasn't the only issue, what a duff car!
  13. my first car was an old vauxhall cavalier. it was prone to over heat, and by the end of its life would overheat every 10 minutes, got to the point of carrying around 20 bottles of water on board to fill 'er up
  14. I love the interior on Supras, again that is a fault on the Skylines (and most cars, dont get me started on Audi ) I am waiting to hear back with the supra and may have a buyer for the 350z
  15. well the Skyline is spoken for. But no fear, what I thought was out of reach, may just be touchable. twin turbo 6 speed manual aerotop supra I absolutely love the look of it, couldnt have made it better myself. the engine bay and interior are untouched so thats where I will be busy working on IF I manage to bag it
  16. on a serious note, Dan have you ever owned either a R34 or rx7?
  17. I would prefer more understeer, my ESP is usually turned off
  18. You mean understeering everywhere, and no-one able to hear them because the exhausts are too bloody quiet, and filling up at every petrol station because thirsty V6? Hey, on the Llangollen meet us 350zs did just fine actually, it was the merc with an empty tank half way through, bloody germans
  19. theres nothing wrong with my driving habits, I drive how nissan want 350z owners to
  20. there is one on eBay (not to your taste I am sure as its highly modded) but it has had a rebuild 3k miles ago, with a good compression score. Yes Dan you are right, I only keep them for a bit and get itchy for something else, so a year in my hands may reduce the risk of having it blow up on me! I have emailed the chap with the sexy black one and told him that without a rebuild I wouldnt be happy paying it, so he can either lower the price so compensate for a rebuild or sell it to someone who doesnt know it needs one lol
  21. Yes well I am still completely torn between the R34 (the black one still), an RX7 and supra, and would be over the moon with all of them (not saying I'm not with the 350z, I still smile every time I drive it, just fancy a turbo and back seats) Lets be honest, Supra is out of the question as the price is a lot more, and Dan says I'm not allowed an auto So its the R34 and RX7. R34 seems to be a safer option, but I would prefer an RX7 I think. RX7's just seem too touchy. - At what mileage is a rebuild due?
  22. yes its already sounding like more work than I would like ideally. I will leave it for now, thanks for that
  23. I think he mentioned it on the phone. The reason that its at 6psi is that when he took it over it had one failed turbo, so after the garage fixed it up he asked for it to run on the safe side, with the intention of bringing it up to 8 or 10 in the next few weeks (it all is starting to sound a bit off tbh)
  24. ok thanks, I was hoping you would have something to say about it. It has had a rebuild though apparently with 9 years of receipts, MOT's and service proof to back its standard up. does look nice though
