  1. Were you the guy with the red z before ? Yeah that's right! Red 350z, R33 skyline, 330D m sport, back to 350z lol
  2. Yes that was what I was thinking - where would I go to find the earth? I'm guessing it's not the main earthy as all other electrics are ok, so do the lights have their own earth that I need to find?
  3. Open a new chapter: one light is dim when both are connected, when I unplug the bright one, the dim one is bright again! I have cleaned the contacts and soldered the wires, help!
  4. The rear lights are LED, is have been fiddling with them this evening, I got them working, then put the light back on the car, then it goes off again! When I looked into the wiring, two wires were lose - as in not soldered onto another wire, just taped to it. I then soldered them up, but the lights still don't come back on, so I'm wondering if it is bad earth after all?
  5. When I press the brake pedal, the front side lights come on, any ideas on how to fix this? I'm guessing it's some earthing issue? If so where would I find these? Could this issue also be causing my one brake light to be intermittent? They are LeD on the rear Thanks
  6. Yes cut too small and you can always trim, cut too large and it's buggered! I did mine with a simple Stanley knife if that helps
  7. Also remember that each set contains one 'rare' sticker and one or two 'common stickers' - the trick is getting that one rare one, the others you keep getting repeats of!
  8. Just watched the trailer on page 1, since I gave up with last series very early on I had no intention of watching this one. However the shots of the cars look really good, just can't get past the presenters on TG, irritating to watch and listen to. Willing to give it another go after seeing so many positive reviews on here!
  9. I bought the car with these aftermarket mirrors on it, and I want standard instead. Obviously black is ideal but I'm happy with any colour and I will just get carbon covers. Glass has marks on both in the same place, not huge but still there. I can't see much out the left one, so I'm guessing they were made for 'looks' more than 'looking' Just after a swap please! Thanks
  10. Just to close the chapter, I took the rear light out today and cleaned the contacts, put it back together and works 100%. Either needed a clean or he may have got the connections the wrong way around, either way it works!
  11. Yes sorry I do mean the actual rear 'upper' lights. I guess I will have to whip it out and have a fiddle
  12. So I have had my new Z for a week now. '06 with Veilside kit. Bodywork is in good condition and only a few common Z problems came with it, which I have already fixed. However today I noticed one of the rear brake lights don't work. These are custom LED lights so can't be a duff bulb issue, what else could be causing it? These are the lights if it helps paint the picture better. Excuse the wheels - some proper ones are on order!
  13. These are them: Be happy to swap for standard!
  14. Thanks, good to be back, you really miss them when you don't have them! No I will drop them a message in my lunch, but rusty at this game now!
  15. I've just bought a 350z and it's got rubbish aftermarket mirrors, can't see a thing out of them, has anyone got a spare set of 350z mirrors? It's a 2006 model and black, thanks! Colour isn't that important because I will most likely put carbon covers on them
  16. Gone now thankyou, back in a zed
  17. I have been offered a few cars equal to a zed, as well as 5.5k cash, but I am waiting out for the right car. 4K seems way too cheap for one of these in my books I have just scanned through eBay and mine is average, can't find any 4k!
  18. If you are looking for more doors, I am looking to swap my BMW 330D msport for a zed, you can find it in the swaps section
  19. Hi, I am looking to swap my 2006 BMW 330D Msport for a 350z. The Reason! I bought this last year with the intention of using my vehicle as the 'family car' more, however due to working through the week, and my wife having her focus set up with pram in boot, seat on rear seat etc its actually a hassle to swap just for a day out at the weekend, so I have proven my car really only needs to get me to work and back! The Car! So its a black 2006 BMW 330D Msport. Automatic gearbox 150,000 miles DPF removed and remapped Cream leather interior Metal detailing inside (a lot seem to have wood) Idrive Factory tinted rear windows Xenons Colour coded wheels LED angel eyes carbon fibre emblems on front, rear, wheels and steering wheel debadged rear black kidney grill Maintenance: The car is looked after at BMWizard in Oswestry, who has helped me out no end. The car had cut out issues, and after going to a generic garage and having the main loom replaced (cost £700 and is, in their defence, a common issue on these), it turned out to be the injectors. We had all 6 replaced, and with the rest of the engine looked over throughly (turbo and engine confirmed to be particularly strong for the car), the car is now running better than ever (better than new due to the remap!) It also had its MOT a few weeks ago and is now good to go. I have replaced the standard fluids, oil, antifreeze etc in the time I have owned it. It has also had a few different 'special juices' run through the system (the type Halfords sell which you put in with your fuel, not sure they do much, but can't do any harm!) I also spend a lot of time cleaning the car, it received a full machine polish when I got it last year, a wash once a week and a full glaze, wax etc every month. As I mentioned, the car is used daily for work (around 35 mile round trip) but also on the big runs to the beach. I took it to Shepton Mallet last weekend, covering 300 odd miles in the day, and it was a pleasure to drive and averaged 50mpg (a mix of driving, country rounds on the way down, motorway on the way up) For those interested, it is by far the quickest car I have owned (including the zed and R33), and leaving my friends Corsa VXR for dust. It really is the car which ticks all of the boxes! Given the work that has gone into it, and its condition, I would like to think its swap value is around 6-7k. High compared to others you may find, but I feel it is justified when you know the car. I am looking for a 350z, not that fussy, mods are ideal Thanks George
  20. this is actually the first silver zed I have been tempted with, very nicely done, good luck selling
  21. It really is a beast of power after the remap, it's actually confusing after the 350z and R33 to have such a normal car and yet it's so much quicker, but I guess the torque is to blame there. Where are you getting your remap? I have all my work done at the BMWizard, not only because of his glowing reputation, but also that he's only 5 minutes up the road! Will you be removing the DPF aswell?
  22. Well I did say I would get one I have had this for since my last post, and yes I got a DPF delete and remap, I will put it through its MOT in January and will start looking for another 350z, I do miss mine It doesn't half shift though! Aside from service bits, the only mods have been the remap, black grills, carbon badges, and debadged the rear!
  23. I second the GTR-D Olly, they look great on a 350z, and so does a deep dish, love it!
