Hi all, I notice that the aftermarket (OE replacement) tends to list front lower control arm and compression arm for 03-09. I heard the ball joint on the knuckle for the lower control arms are light bigger diameter on 05 plate one. Can anyone confirm both lower control arms and compression arms are interchangeable for 03-09? Thanks 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€

Clicking Axle Noise Solved - Try this first!!!!!
Carbon.Ninja replied to Mrdeli's topic in 350Z General
Thanks for this post, I got mine sorted. About torque wrench, I bought mine (Silverline - for £20) which OK only do torque up to 210Nm so I did and added a bit more at the end. Also to mention it would be easier to take out the 6 bolts on the diff side to slide the drive shaft out to create a bit more space for applied grease. 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 ç™¼é€ -

Hi all, wondering if anyone know the torque value for the driveshaft (diff side)? Currently trying to reassemble but made a school boy error o find the torque value before hand 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€

Let's have a look in different perspective.. pro and cons and in way what tricky Ricky said is right but pending on angle of view.... Pro of spacer:- Widening the track either by spacer of offset, this would reduce the weight transfer. That's good news in a broad brush (as the theory is we can utilise grip on both inner and outer tyre. ) As tyre grip relates to vertical load you put on a given corner. Increment of vertical load you the more grip you get ( that's why F1 aero as an example) but it has a tip over point, where overloading the grip falls rather rapidly. Con:- For both spacer and offsets, the input position is further outboard. That's means the moment arm is greater than standard. (Moment is force x distance). Therefore the input into chassis components would be far higher. (Bushes as an example) Durability will fall for sure. For spacer now in a mechanical bolt joint, the number of components within the sandwich increase the clamp load decreases. The stiffness of the joint can fall. Because previously in stand format, you have the friction due to clamp force between wheel mounting face brake disc and brake disc to hub and bearing assemblely. Now considering a spacer added.... You have wheel to spacer, spacer to brake disc then brake disc to hub and bearing. Therefore in order to achieve the same clamp force and the force to be less than friction forces between the component would be less. Therefore up in torque of the wheel bolt would be required. Then of course to validate the up in torque properly, some scientific tightening experiment will be needed to ensure the stud or bolt are not into the yield proportion of the torque vs angle graph. Just my own 2p... 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€

Been doing a little research as I do have the clicking noise from driver side. However according to the US site the torque Spec is 170 lbs ft. That's equates to 230Nm. Most of the torque wrench are ranged up 210Nm so 20 Nm short. I wonder what do the DIY warrior do? Fork out for a new wrench or you go FT? Both are less than ideal..... 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€

How far front arch protrusion legal for wheels tyres
Carbon.Ninja replied to mobius's topic in 350Z Technical
One definite answer it would be to refer to ECE R26 External projection. From my understanding, the top half of the wheel housed inside the outmost point of fender will be OK. This is a nutshell as per usual any ECE are a nightmare to read as they are written in double Dutch! 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 ç™¼é€ -
Thanks to Tarmac Sportz I have got the set of NGK Iridium plug through the post and being the service programme. Now I wonder if any one know if these pop plugs are pretty gapped at factory? With a tap measure (don't have a feeler gauage) it reads about 1mm gap. 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€

That's my point, the 40/50% I get over get no body work scraping (bumper/Skirts) The other percentage is mainly speed humps which are to high and thing, i.e. can't get my rear wheels on before the front's leave. I don't attempt those. But I'm retardedly low. So I can promise you you'd be fine with Springs. It's all about how you take a speed bump, I bet there is a speed bump I could get over without scraping, where even a standard ride heighted zed would scrape due to the wrong approach. Yeah I do see your point and as I said the speed bumps aren't a major worry because as you know if you approach them correctly then you can get over them no problem. When I go into town there's a car park that I need to use and the ramps to each floor are quite steep even coming down I will hit the bumper and this is before my lip is added. Definetly not car friendly in Glasgow. Haha I second that not car friendly in Glasgow... Often trolley jacks are not used instead of bricks instead.. 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€

The big FLUIDS list - **ADD YOUR SUGGESTIONS**
Carbon.Ninja replied to mr_smith126's topic in Servicing
Just as a quick feedback yesterday I did engine gearbox, diff and PAS fluid change. Engine: 5w/30 Motul 8100 Gearbox: Motul Gear 300 Diff: Fuchs Silk Tran Syn5 PAS: Comma AQ3 ( can't find any PSF2 locally but recommended by comma own site) The gear shift is noticeably smoother, less effort needed. Engine running smoothly and pullling stronger. Maybe that's down to new fluid effect but result are positive. Thanks you to this list and Opie oil also, as it helped a lot during the research phrase as it is a mine field for selecting the fluid! 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 ç™¼é€ -
Cool, do you notice any performance gain since it fitted? I'm in 2 thoughts at the moment twin or single. Single is purely from weight saving point of view but probably won't be popular with the neighbours lol 我從使用 Tapatalk çš„ Nexus 6 發é€
