  1. Kids were a tiny issue - hands dragged along the wings as they walked past, one little girl put both hands flat on the drivers window and then pressed her face onto it leaving a bit greasy mark! No damage done though, and it was nice seeing their reactions and watching people have their photos taken next to or in my car!
  2. It's the first time I've had a car that I felt was worthy of being on display at a car show, and a month or two ago I saw a post on Facebook asking for cars for a motorshow in the centre of Newcastle - one of the main roads through the city centre was being closed off for a weekend. I applied not expecting to hear back, but they wanted my car on display! Here are some pics from the day - first prior to the crowds arriving: Two as it got busier: And a final picture as I left, driving down a tunnel of people taking pictures! I couldn't believe how many people were interested in my car! Kids over the moon at the chance to sit inside it (and some adults!), a really nice couple who are looking to purchase a 370Z Roadster so asked loads of questions and so many compliments from different people young and old. I felt so proud of my Z!
  3. It was an awesome weekend, I made it to the end of the show on Saturday and had my 370Z on display on Sunday. So nice to see so many people being enthusiastic about cars, and some very excited kids (and adults!) when I let them sit in my car. Driving out between lines of people taking photos was pretty dam cool too!
  4. On the 370Z, the car will start with the brake pedal pressed rather then the clutch - someone might know if the 350 is the same so the clutch switch could be ruled out?
  5. Somewhere between Waddeston and Bicester, apologies, first time in that area!
  6. Was there some kind of A41 meet today?! I barely ever see Z's, and in the space of a mile, I saw an orange 350Z, followed by a black 350Z (which followed me briefly), then a blue 370Z, very odd to see so many close together!
  7. JoshC kindly sent me his set of discs, which it will be finished with tomorrow if anyone would like them?
  8. I cycle to keep fit, but will always use cycle paths where they are available. It baffles me when I see the number of cyclists still using the road - it's more dangerous for them and car drivers, and the cycle paths are normally in far better condition than the edge of the road!
  9. Is there a particular iron remover you'd recommend?
  10. Ahem...grey cars never look shiny clean? I beg to differ (and this is 4 years old)... Just don't ask how long it took...
  11. How shiny is that Roadster?! It looks amazing (says the man with an identical car apart from the wheel colour haha!)
  12. How much?!? I bought a 2011 Roadster, 25,700 miles, for £16k about 2 months ago!
  13. We've got builders in at work extending the car park so mine keeps getting covered in brick dust and sand. No matter how far away I park it still gets coated in crap!
  14. I was a bit shocked by the cost of air filters for the Z, with the cheapest genuine filters I could find being £35+, and aftermarket filters at £60+. A bit of research showed that Wix filters seem to be pretty well regarded in the US, and I found these in the US: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191395985176?redirect=mobile They took around a week and a half to arrive, but only cost just over £23 inc P&P. Personally I'm not convinced by the benefits of foam filters, so thought I'd share with you guys in case anyone else needs them. The filters also have to be the easiest thing to change on a car ever!
  15. Last night behind me, can't remember the reg. Looked very smart! I saw you on the coast around Tynemouth a couple of weekends ago too
  16. I just don't fancy paying $92 for one, and I can't find one for sale anywhere else!
  17. Here you go: http://www.amazon.com/Original-Kyosho-Nissan-Fairlady-Roadster/dp/B002YYXG6U/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1428185380&sr=8-17&keywords=Nissan+fairlady+roadster
  18. I loved the film, yes it's a bit OTT at points but every single F&F is the same! Perfect ending IMO.
  19. Just a little tip on this, it's worth searching around for local race teams that might have the right equipment to do your alignment - I found a couple of guys who run a very successful MX-5 race team, they do 4 wheel alignment on a Hunter system for c. £40 and can tweak the set up to my preference. A "tuning company" 2 miles away do the exact same thing for £120...!
  20. I've had the same problem trying to find a grey Roadster in any size, I found a silver version in the US but it's over £75 plus postage! Smaller scale these look ok quality: http://www.speednation.com/store/product4367.html
  21. I think most people forget the 370Z exists as it's so rare, myself included! I'd been looking for a new car for a few months and couldn't find anything I wanted and could afford, and by chance when searching local cars on Autotrader, a 370Z Roadster popped up in a search result. I bought it the next day! I don't think I've ever seen one on the roads apart from mine. Although having said that, since buying my 370, I've only seen 1 other 370 Coupe on the road as it drove past my office.
  22. I've had my Z for 3 weeks now and have spent the last couple of weekends getting her polished and waxed as the paintwork had been a bit neglected, so thought I'd share a couple of pics from today. I'm chuffed! I'm not 100% sure the short plate suits the rear of the car, might look into getting a new plate to fill the inset area.
