    WHEEL NUTS

    Got any full car pics??
  2. Should not be any wiggle room! Before replacing my banana bars they could be rocked back and forth by hand, but I knew the knocking was coming from them way before that. If you are out in the car today, at low speed, with the knocking occurring, slowly apply the brakes and the knocking will completely stop. This is because of weight transfer, the front hunkering down, compressing the arms which means no wiggle room. (My thinking anyway!) If this is the case you can be pretty certain its the banana's, I was quoted about £130 for just the arms fitment. There were 2 brand new arms for sale on here at a bargain price, not sure if they are still about! If not, , brand new banana arms for £125 each, cannot go wrong!
  3. Old wheels back on for the moment, mid section of my exhaust now scrapes on my driveway
  4. Ran mine like this since I purchased the car (8 months ago) up until I got new wheels (2 is months ago) Could not fit a piece of card in between the 2, did not have any problems.
  5. able to get any video of the noise? Or maybe some pictures of the offending side? (photo of compression rod/banana arm or drop link area)
  6. I walked away, without looking back. NO REGRETZ.
  7. For the first time ever, in a Tesco underground car park, I set off a car alarm next to me. Backing up against the wall, had a vw beetle next to me, I could not resist to rev a little more than I needed to.. but it was not more than 4000rpm to be 'respectful'. Few pops and bangs then alarm bells going off, I was sat smiling to myself whilst some people in another car were staring me down, maybe thinking I had hit the heap next to me!
  8. I did ask her 'are you 100% sure it was one of MY cars' she was adamant it was a blue zed. Im worried about her.
  9. Im trying to remember now..... I think the 2 on the right are dimmer buttons, one up arrow and one down. When the instrument clusters are illuminated you can turn the brightness of all the dials/buttons up or down.
  10. Use your feet.. and a breaker bar
  11. Exactly my thinking! Of course though I had to act like I was concerned, but I knew a fellow zed would never behave in the way she described!
  12. Sister came in from work, straight away she was going off on one about how one of 'my cars' tried to merge into her lane right along side her, causing her to slam on the brakes. My sister retaliated with a hand gesture which apparently the 350z driver then did back to her!
  13. Car has successfully been lowered (by me, only took me from 11am to 10pm....) Here is a little teaser pic, hopefully getting arches rolled today.
  14. Well I have only just gotten home and showered. I have not eaten since 11am. I am absolutely knackered. Today was an event. Punches were thrown at helpless objects around me, tools were thrown in anger, but overall a good day!!! ... Heard rubbing once on the way home, will be putting my smaller wheels on temporarily tomorrow.
  15. I still have my old wheels which will fit just fine once lowered, so I will be able to drive the car. I have a local garage that can roll my arches but that won't be till friday
  16. I have spring compressors, just not an arch roller
  17. I hope not, not planning another novel just yet!
  18. I am planning on doing it myself tomorrow, just curious is it an easy enough job to do? I don't have much experience (I am sure many of you are aware of that!) other than doing my banana arm bushes and wheel bearings, both of which were relatively easy and a bit less daunting. Also I am sure that my rears are going to rub, no doubt about it. I my self do not have an arch roller, will I be alright to leave it a few days after putting the springs in until I find someone who is able to roll my arches?
  19. He just loves showing off those gorgeous alloys. I'm not jealous honest. :teeth: :teeth: lowering springs arrived today!!
  20. 18x9.5 +12 18x10.5 +15 Will be best for what you want to achieve, here are my fronts, they are 18x9.5 ET 15 Car is not lowered (yet!!) as you can see +15 on the fronts they stick out a little, once lowered they will sit flush with the arch. Bit odd having a smaller offset on the front than the rear, what wheels are they? Any pics?
  21. Definitely not the banana arms, as you said it is synced with the rotations of the wheels. Would double check spacers and wheels are fitted securely asap, sounds like a creaking as if something is coming loose/slipping under pressure.
  22. Saw it at the last second, red 350z with what looked to be a nismo spoiler and aftermarket alloys. Parked at a house on the corner I think...
