  1. Im sorry I was born in the 90's everyone. I don't wish to keep repeating myself. I too would be thrilled to be driving a 'clapped out capri' at 19. I do not see why that is relevant to me, making me out to be ungrateful?, Idk! I did not start this thread or my signature to 'boast' or start a flipping age debate, no one commented before when my signature said 'Youngest 350z owner?'. Perhaps because it was a question and not a statement.... ? :surrender: But yes, I don't need everyones life stories, and 'back in my day' crap, Think I had about 3 replies giving my a rough idea on and answer to the topics purpose. Will be amending my signature momentarily. :stir: :teeth:
  2. One years no claims will really make a big difference.
  3. Cheapest for me was Admiral, through compare the market. Fully comp on my 19th Birthday was £1300 with one years ncb, but as you are 21 you will be able to look at adrian flux etc, the more specialised insurance companies, as above there are a few insurance company traders on here, shop about!
  4. Definitely. Will be the only thing on my mind!
  5. My zed was in for its MOT, Popped to Sainsburys for a coffee, you were parked near the back.
  6. Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn ignition to on? Or is there a smell of fuel when it is cranking over?
  7. Why not, I am proud to not be driving in a fiesta or corsa like everyone else my age. ! I was actually proud to be driving a fiesta at 19 as I had a budget of £300 for a car and happy I cut my teeth learning in a car suited to my (in hindsight) rather limited driving ability at that age - nothing wrong with that Also meant I could experiment with cheap parts on a car worth not a lot of money and learn how to work on it and not rely on paying labour costs for the last 20 years to garages. And I didnt have the internet to look everything up I was also proud to be driving my 1999 saab 9-3 2.2 tid at 17, learnt a lot with it and wanted something completely out of the ordinary to replace it. Saved my money over the year as it was the cheapest years motoring I will probably ever have. (did not have a single problem with the Saab, and filled it once a month!) I know in say 10 years time I will look back and regret it, but right now I am young, I am lucky enough to be able to afford the zed at a young age and probably won't have the opportunity to own such a car ten years down the line, could say I am getting it out of my system, perhaps the zed will be followed by sensible cars........ I apologise to those of you who see my signature as me boasting, it is not meant to come across that way...
  8. I did the passenger side one myself, must of taken me 4 hours. A lot of bleeding knuckles, swearing and throwing of nearby objects. I had to use a trolley jack to loosen most of the bolts especially difficult was the 20mm ( I think it was 20mm....) holding the calliper on. Would not budge!
  9. I have et 15 on the front, et 5 on the rear Fronts dont pertrude massively, has a 5mm spacer to clear the front callipers.
  10. Just having the wheels balanced, not sure they can do an alignment, but will be having one done soon after
  11. It really bothers you that much that I have got my zed at such a young age ? Don't see what you are trying to achieve really? When I said I was getting a zed I was getting told left right and centre that it would never happen, insurance would never be affordable. Too young etc. Im proving that it is possible and its not something you see everyday, I am probably the youngest owner after all. Dont loose sleep over it 'mate', hope it does not bother you too much that I am only 19. theres plenty other young owners though its not a rare thing anymore. Maybe it just seems a little odd to boast about it, i picked mine up when i was 24 and i've not long been 25.. i had mr2's when i was 19 and last car from 21 was a 296bhp del sol lol I actually got it when I was 18, maybe I should change it

  13. For anyone interested they quoted me £135 for balancing, arm installation and new wheel bearing installation. Also got a look around their spotless GTR
  14. Why not, I am proud to not be driving in a fiesta or corsa like everyone else my age. ! You fill yer boots mate, I was just asking. I might put my arm measurement on my signature. Ok.

  16. It is only down the road, went to a local garage yesterday and got turned away as it was too specialised for them and they didn't want to take my money when they're not confident with the car. They recommended Mission, I promise, it will just be a quote.
  17. Did I not say 'I am going to mission motorsport today for a QUOTE' ! Just wanted an idea on a reasonable price for what I want done so I know they are not taking advantage of me...
  18. I am going to mission motorsport today for a quote on a 4 wheel balance and fitment of my 2 new compression arms.. What price should I be expecting, I don't want a repeat of my qwik fit experience either.. It would be mainly just a labour charge for the fitment of the arms.
  19. Sorry I am a bit slow. I do have one, and I promise I will have a picture for you tomorrow morning.
  20. minus the wiper delete, think this zed looks spot on!
  21. And I still have not moved from my desk. I will try to move in the next hour or so.
  22. I will get a picture, one minute
