  1. He will probably be thinking... '10.5j et 5..... PFFFFFFFFFT! '
  2. Surely I could not have done body mods first anyway as I would not have known how the wheels sat on the car, now I have the wheels I can go from there
  3. He has 10j ET -41 Front and 10j ET -43 Rear, thats a lot more poke! crazy!
  4. Stop making it look daft then, and I'll stop mentioning it There's being unique (I get that, as I've always gone for the non-obvious choice in cars in the past: VX vs Elise, MR2 vs MX5, convertible 350 vs coupe 350) and then there's just being stubborn and bodging things. Now, if you'd done the bodywork mods first with the principle that you'll get the wheels ASAP then I'd actually understand that, as although it would still look a bit silly with wheels that far under the arches it would've been what I would class as 'the right way round'. Being independent doesn't always mean you have to ignore common sense. But you're only a kid, so I guess you'll learn that in time. Anyways, you're probably right, there's no need to me to pass comment so often so I apologise for that. I wasn't being personal about it, I just struggle to see the logic in your approach is all. So what body mods are you going to do to accommodate those wheels? Will rolling alone do it, or are you going for some bolt-on extensions or a whole new wide-arch kit? The latter would look good, I think. Springs will be the first thing, hopefully lowering by 30mm will bring them into a better position, arches will only be rolled if they have to. (which they probably will) As I said before, rear spats to make the rear look a bit fatter, rest will just be front, side, rear diffusers.
  5. Only spacers on the fronts, wheel was flat on the hub but just scraped on the calliper. Could have cleared it with a 2/3mm spacer tbh.
  6. I do not need to be reminded in every single post of yours that it looks daft, I have already admitted that ATM the rears look silly. I like to do things differently and as my parents would say (and I admit myself) I rarely listen/try to be as independent as possible when it comes to projects etc. Hence my first car at 18 was a 2.2 Saab, vs the usual corsa, and then my second car at 19 being the zed vs a newer corsa... (thats just a few examples) Same can be said for my wheels I guess, did not want the usual. How I see it now, I have a pretty nice project planned. Something I can actually put time into, work on getting it right and the end result will be spot on. It will also be a unique outcome.
  7. Planning to drop it 30mm with rolled arches, rear spats, and carbon fibre diffusers all round!
  8. Hello and ! I am in the Fareham/Portsmouth area!
  9. Nooooooooooooooo They will not look like that for long, don't let it bother you too much!
  10. All will be well and good, give me a few weeks and I will have the rears looking as they should!
  11. Hope this works Steve.. http://s1376.photobucket.com/user/matthewcookdesign/library/
  12. If I had not posted that last image I doubt I would be getting any negative feedback    They look fine in the rest
  13. you can do but run the risk of putting a crease in it Be better with these Que grundy creaming over his mancrush Can you see any pictures at all?
  14. Each to there own, I agree that the rears look a bit out of place. I am chuffed with how the fronts look and think the rims style really suits the car. Like I said, once I change/add a few things I think I can get them to look right.
  15. I did not expect the rears to stick out as much as they do! Looks damn good from behind though!
  16. can you do the on photobucket this time S***, Too late, literally posted as you said that
  17. Jesus christtttt.... I am going to be petrified of curbs for life. I think most of you would agree I need some body mods (rolled arches, rear diffuser, front and side diffusers) to compliment the wheels. Also needs to be lowered a tad imo. Will be starting a build thread shortly, also the quick fit guy has agreed to pay me in cash before I buy the wheels, so all sorted!
  18. Lets just say I will need some body mods to compliment these beasts. Pictures shortly
