  1. Hi, I have just brought some Eibach Spacers for my 350Z, 20mm front and 25mm for rear tyres. I plan to match them up with my standard ray alloys with Toyo R888s. The question I need to ask is there any danger in using the spacers. Are the spacers strong enough to put up with the forces the wheels will encounter on a track day ? Could I have some advice on this please.
  2. I had the same problem myself when I had to fit my new alloys. Mitz, cougarstore is correct you just need to remove them.
  3. Never been asked by a insurnance broker about being on a speed awareness course. The whole point of a speed awareness course is to avoid the penalty. If they refused to insure me, because I refused to tell them, I would just find somebody else.
  4. If you commit another speeding offence within 3 years you are not allowed to go on another speed awareness course. Only the police have access to who has been on awareness courses and this information is held on the police computer. As I understand it, a roadside check by the Police will not show up a speed awareness course, presumably this will only show up on a secure terminal...at least that's what I've heard. Pete And even then it's not just one database, as it's different for each county i.e. You get caught in one county, you do the course (You then can't do it again for 5 years I think) But if you get caught in another county, you can go on the course again. So I've been told as it happened to a friend.
  5. The advice given by the people who do the speed awareness courses is not to declare. The insurnance companies have no legal right to know.
  6. Local Nissan dealer wanted £85 to run a basic engine check. Told them where to go.
  7. The driver in the video was totally dependant on the other vehicles seeing him or her. If any of the other vehicles had made a sudden change in direction without seeing him or her, the outcome would be horrible and some poor innocent would of got involved as well. The sound of the engine is not relevant, the driver is a complete and utter clown!
  8. Looks great. Love the background.
  9. When my brakes failed the other day, I smelled something funny, but it wasn't the car!

Got mine from Mitz at Cougar Store. They really suit the 350Z well.
  11. I never thought about the air ducts, I will have a look on the web. The last time the rbf600 was bled was about 12 months ago, never knew that either. Thank you for info.
  12. They can use the same fluid - they do not share it. Separate reservoir for the brake and clutch, You can boil the clutch fluid but it's not that common - Buster managed it at combe, along with his PS fluid - bloody nutter You can also overheat the clutch plate - cooling should bring it back but if pushed when really hot you start to damage the flywheel and you can glaze the clutch plate then you get slip until it's replaced. Most of this can be avoided by 1. Driving style/technique 2. Allowing adequate cool down time between runs. At least your doing it in the right place and hopefully having fun - no better place to learn your car than on track IMO I completely agree about the fun bit.
  13. Thank you for the advice. It sounds like my brake fluid boiled. Changing my brakes in a few weeks to Ksport 256mm big brake kit and new fluid.
