Predicament... Cannot decide what to decide on.
Shifty6Speed replied to Shifty6Speed's topic in Other Cars
Yeah, my thoughts are that i've had 2 R33's already and i know what they're about. As much as i love them, i want something that i haven't owned yet. I think with my current annual mileage too, i'd be better off with an N/A that isn't going to completely rape my pockets. That said, if i went for a tubby, it wouldn't be standard for long... If i could find a standard car to begin with... Watch this space! -
I'll give that whirl dude, thanks. Maybe next weekend if i have a spare hour or so Cheers!

Sounds like i need to find an Xbox genius... It's so damn annoying when you get stuck especially when you've become engrossed and forgotten to save... If i had a sh*t hot gaming pc, i'd play it on that...

Gutted.... Might need to sell or scrap the skyline

Crickey, that really sucks dude! Sounds like a Keighley Trade Centre special... -
Oh, thats a shame, that should of, and I thought had, been patched quite extensively being such an old game now. Whats the glitch you're getting ?? There are loads of glitches from levers and quest items not activating to getting stuck whilst roaming around on perfectly level ground. Sometimes when swimming i can fall through the lake or stream bed and land in a weird elven location or somewhere else etc... It's just too addictive not to continue playing...
-
Me too! 4.9 billion and counting FAST lol...
-
No probs dude, always welcome
-
That should have been patched like mad now mate, what are you playing it on ?? Xbox 360, it was a freebie given to me when i purchased my console from Game last November ish... Never been set for updates or anything like all of my games on disc!?
-
Elder Scrolls of Skyrim V... Sooooooooooooooooooo many glitches it's unreal, but i'm so damn addicted too, it's also unreal...

Ahhh no! Well, sounds like you're like me. Don't keep any one car for too long, i used to changed every 6 months or so but now i'm an adult with a job, an income and a load of debt, i can't afford to... How the hell does that work? What a silly idea "growing up" turned out to be

Well, just a thought, but i know this as i work in the automotive paint trade... Actually making the stuff! You could have any car you wanted in the world (within your budget) and have it resprayed in any colour you want in the world, including that purple blue off the ST2 Common myth that paint prices vary depending on whether they're off a ford or a ferarri... They don't, it's the labour that the body shops sting the clueless people on. Most colours are either solid 2k gloss, basecoat metallic or 2 stage pearls which are only slightly more of a fuss to apply which would affect the price... So get whatever you want and hold back a couple of grand for a decent re-spray

Mine is Deep metallic nocturne blue :-D

I have considered one of these as a sensible diesel. What's it like to live with? Mpg, performance? I've been very happy with it for over a year now. With exception to all of the outlay of which some was expected and some unfortunate. It's a very comfortable car to drive over long distances, my brother lives near Newcastle and i live near Shrewsbury, Shropshire, travelling up there and back over the weekend i used less than half a tank and that is a 422 mile round trip! Arriving up there you will see less than 1/4 missing on the gauge. It averages late 40's to early 50's mpg wise and whilst it isn't a performance car, it'll cruise at "naughty" speeds all day long without the slightest moan and the chassis isn't too shabby in the corners with my chosen shoes either (Conti Sport Contact 5's). Performance wise, mine was the 150bhp, purchased with 44k on the clock, 1 owner from new (now me), i had the remap done by United Diesel (Viezu) at around 53k and since then there has been a lovely improvement in drive-ability, noticeable gains in fuel economy and no mid range shudder which is a common grumble with these engines from low revs in higher gears... In short, it won't blow you away in the same way that a McLaren MP4-12C would, but as a sensible, everyday, economical family car, it holds it's own with 0-60 being around 7.8 secs now. I service mine every 9k and the recommended is 12k to 18k depending on how you drive! So mine has been mommied! HUGE boot, flat folding rear seats, 7 speaker stereo, millions of brand new major parts fitted very recently. It'll be a great car for someone soon Very few bad points and none that would put anyone off! But those can be discussed when it is for sale. Sorry for hijacking Mrs Twobears!

No worries! My contract was only renewed last september for 24 months and i can't afford to buy it out. If i could, i'd be moving back to Android in a flash!

To help put things into context and i think i reflect the opinions of others too.... I currently have an iphone 5 and i will never have another iphone. There a loads of better devices out there now which allow you to access a lot more free content and don't restrict every purchase you wish to make (in the way of phone add-ons) to apple! As already mentioned, Sony's Xperia range are pretty top flight devices! DO NOT touch Samsung with a barge pole... I will never buy another Samsung product. Having owned several phones, tv's blueray players etc, i have to say, the reliability and quality is quite simply crap. Never again...

Nice find, dude! How long till it is graced with a BGW? **EDIT** And for those who might not know the difference, the high level spoiler that Ian has (and i prefer) is fixed at each end. A wing has open ends and is fitted anywhere from the centre out... Looks lovely fella!

Decent cars and dirt cheap now! I loved my IS300, good quick import to own at 19 years old! Crickey, 11 years ago, how time flies! You'll enjoy this GS for a while, i'm sure! Good find buddy!

I officially hate you... I need a new mouse tomorrow

Well, your options are pretty much limitless until we know a budget... But within the next couple of months (all being well) my Saab 9-3 1.9 TID Vector Sport (150 - Remapped to 185) will be for sale with only 60k and just had well over £3k spent on all of the common and age related problems being replaced and renewed etc... Full cream leather interior with very little signs of wear (except for a bit on drivers seat). In short, it's been "mothered".. Will be looking for around £5,800 when i come to sell due to all of the money that has been poured into it in the last 12 months. However, if that's not for you, i wouldn't think of hire purchase unless you were going to keep whatever you got long enough to make it pay... There are plenty of decent family cars around for between £5-8k.... That said, i'm sure you could pick up a good car for less, but by no means will it have any nice modern refinements!

Sounds beautiful to me! I can pitch up my tent in the park when i come to stay then :-D

Hola! Sounds idyllic. Although i think if the risk of avalanche wasn't so great and the noise limits were lifted, i think the French / Swiss Alps would be my haunt. Given the years travelling down there, the roads and many of the mountain passes are out of this world! Enjoy Spain! One of the only countries in Europe i've never been to! And after seeing Benidorm on TV, i'm not sure i want to

I'm shocked and appauled! <<< Can you tell? Not as shocked as the chap who pinged into the sewer though, ha ha Well at least now, he can say to people "Don't judge me! You don't know what sh*t i've been through"... -

I have already had the please of 2 R33's (Gts-t and GTR), hence it not being a major contender... It's there in my head because i loved both very much, but i was also much younger then and what matters now, didn't so much back then... But i also like a lot of different Jap cars from both Nissan (mainly) and Toyota so i like to experience what i haven't had yet and learn about another breed of gorgeous engineering not yet owned by me. I know that ultimately it'll come down to what is for sale at the right spec and price when i have the money in my hand to buy. But i probably will wind up with a Z and if i do, i don't think i'll be upset about that -

Ditto that, squire! How bad can your day get? You have a zillion square meters of tarmac and he doesn't only have the displeasure of gravel rash but he hits the drainage jackpot too lol....
