  1. NA I disagree. I've heard more times than not shocks wearing out on lowering springs Also the springs are stiffer but with the springs siting 30mm lower to start with, they are causing travel on a part or the damper that's not designed to always be travelling. The m3 suspension isn't identical- not sure why you reckon it would be but it's a coilovers setup like ours so although the same components will not be 'shaved off' we will have similar components that build up the space.
  2. Hey My brother in law has an m3 and it's common knowledge on that forum that in order to keep the shocks operating in the zone they are designed for, they shave 10mm off the top mount and either put another bump stop on or cut the existing one (it's rubber) My qu is has anyone on here tried anything like this? So it's almost like the suspension just sits a bit lower
  3. they look ace!! also let me know if your around this week in evenings- might pop down from peterhead to see your motor! my last week up here
  4. Hey Thanks for replies (positive and negative lol) As mentioned in actually after the headlights inside being being black but since I'm chicken I want to remove some of the chrome on the headlights. It would probably be a tint that doesn't look tinted if that makes sense. Just reduces the bling on the headlights. Net nomad, get some pics up please and let us know what you think
  5. Hmm I just googled it and loads of people have lost all their data :s
  6. Hmm just had a look and loads of people have had problems with magnets and their phones so I won't use it just incase lol
  7. Hmm magnet one seems awesome! So discreet. How long have you been using it for? You sure it doesn't affect the phone? Do I need to attach a matching magnet to my phone or does it just stick using internal metal work?
  8. Hey I'm looking for a discreet phone holder to put in the zed. Which ones do you guys have? Any pictures?
  9. I get it too on the 370. I recon it's maybe just a nuckle connection as it engages
  10. Looks nice! I prefer the amuse front bumper all colour coded and not the black strip but that's a personal preference. Great that you painted it yourself! Next up should be lowering it. Will make the kit look even better!
  11. Hey bud, I would tell them to just foot the bill for it and take it to a place in glasgow. I know a good place in EK next door to automek. they do all my stuff. the guys name is Rab. i would get rab to also do your front bumper and send the overall bill to nissan for the inconvinience lol
  12. Take off the mods. Speak to insurance company and ask them what mods your allowed to do - what does it say in their list and pick mods from there. DO NOT let the insurance be cancelled since you will not get insurance again anywhere. All companies ask "have you had insurance cancelled for any reason in the last 5 years?" If you say yeah they won't insure you period!
  13. With a few hundred miles on it, the car sounds sweet as a nut! I'm still to fit my berks cats which will open it up even further but what a difference these mid silencers have made. the start up sounds mean and then it goes back to stock until you get above 3k revs and it sounds really really OEM+. i would recommend people try this before spending a lot on exhaust. cost me just £60. i'll put a video up when the berks are also fitted. hope its not too loud!
  14. Thanks for the replies. Stevo that car looks great! But those wheels look gunmetal to me and they don't come in gunmetal colour The strip is a GT edition strip. Came on the car when I bought him the car but it's not a GT edition. Feel like a cheat!
  15. I'm considering this for my winter setup. Tarmac has Japan Racing wheels at a decent price but they come in white black and bronze. No gunmetal in 19" So what do you guys think? On
  16. Old bones, If your around Aberdeen let me know. I'm passing through to Peterhead and I don't mind having a look at your car. Particularity the lip spoiler! I've not seen many I like but this ones nice and subtle. I'm in Aberdeen Friday around 1ish and next Tuesday evening
  17. Wouldn't shock me! LOL!! After all you've been through your comment is so justified!
  18. Looks great! Looks OEM+ Is your car lowered? Does the lip sit lower than the stock bumper? Doesn't look like it does. Also is your inside fangs painted the same colour at the inside part of the spoiler? I like this. Oh and lastly what material is is made from? Please don't say fiberglass! I want a urethane lip
  19. I easily get my pencil bag in the widest section of the boot. Ie rear light to rear light and I've got the rest if the boot for my shoes and other stuff. Although I need to upgrade my bag to a cart bag but I need to take the car to the shop and check it still fits. Suits, can you check if your bag fits like my pencil one and let me know? The bag I want is a callaway chev bag which looks like the same size as yours
  20. Has anyone done this on their 370? I don't fancy the fly eyes. I actually want to open up the headlights and spray them black but I'm too chicken even though I've done it on my celica. It's was just quite a mission to do. So I'm considering tinting the headlights a very light smoke colour so that the front end if the car doesn't look as bright and chrome. Especially since the wheels are a darker colour now and not stock. Does it need to be a special film? Also is it a DIY job or do I need to take it somewhere? Thanks
  21. I love the ds2500 on my celica however I've noticed that they say not for legal road use! Meaning is insurance void if your running better pads? Lol

    Which fuel

Get an uprev so you can safely run 95 fuel. Runnin 95 over 99 costs me an extra £1 a day for the commute to work so in 1.5 years the up rev has paid for itself if I get it and safely run 95 Ron hahaha
  23. Mines also does exactly all of the above and I got another member to listen to the car and drive it too. His car got replaced under warranty and he listened to mine and said its fine. Wasn't like the noises he was getting which warranted a replacement clutch and flywheel.
  24. How was the car after alignment?
