  1. The biggest pain was getting it prepped up properly especially in situ. My plenum has bugged me for a while and whilst I was admiring yours earlier I decided to have a look at my paint supplies whilst I was in the garage. Turns out I had a perfectly good can of VHT gloss black so in the end I'm putting it to good use. Thanks for the inspiration ~ not at all how I was planning on spending my Friday night though after a hard days work.
  2. Well you inspired me tonight Lyndzzz or at least I'm blaming you for this. Had a can of Carling and decided to clean a few bits on my Zed. Started with the seats, then the engine bay and now somehow I've started painting my plenum black just like yours. Second coat going on at 11pm so I'm just taking a break.
  3. That exhaust sounds fantastic on the BM.
  4. Dangerous driving carries a potential for a 2 year imprisonment where drink driving only 6 months in very extreme circumstance. Both offence in this case goes hand in hand with the more serious being dangerous driving by virtue of being drunk. If someone is drunk walking down the street and swinging a baseball bat around as a crowd approaches and some police get in the way and get hit its a jail term. Why do the courts just not recognise the seriousness of drink driving? As far as I am concerned the woman in question is on a charge of attempted manslaughter minimum. If she couldn't even stop when she saw a set of headlights heading towards her she was clearly a massive danger to the public and chose to take that action. She is a pathetic and worthless piece of crap that should be chucked into the slammer and be taught a SERIOUS lesson, none of this 'oh you can't drive for a couple of years' nonsense. 100% agree with you coldel. Really don't know know how Britain's justice system came to being so f**ked up with regards to sentencing people for their crimes.
  5. If it was me I'd forget changing the oil for something thicker and just concentrate on finding out why it's burning so much more oil. Have you tried asking any of the garages on here like Horsham Developments, Abbey Motorsport or The Cougar Store. Maybe worth a phone call or two just to see if they can point you in the right direction.
  6. I've said it before and I'll say it again, ...very nice job Lyndzzz.
  7. Done it before. Wouldn't say it's a problem though.
  8. Well if a jobs worth doing it's worth doing right.
  9. Doesn't look bad and the colour is great against the silver/gun metal of the Zed. You missed a bit though. Directly opposite the valve near the wheel nuts. Look's like it needs another coat. No offence just OCD won't let it lye.
  10. Interesting reading all the replies to do with this. It's a hard call for the Police in these circumstances but I feel they where justified in their actions and did the right thing. As I said just glad the drunk woman didn't kill any innocent people.
  11. Berks HFC's without a doubt along with the Invidia Gemini exhaust system. Just sounds so much better now.
  12. Good to hear you've got a Zed Ross. Enjoy it.
  13. Welcome aboard. Zed looks better already for you owning it.
  14. My dream car from about the age of 16 was a Subaru Impreza. Used to watch the rallying a lot and was always a fan of the Subaru with Colin McRae driving it in the early days followed by Richard Burns. So sad that when I finally got my dream car (a 1996 JDM Impreza WRX) it turned out to be more of a nightmare. Really wish I'd bought a 350Z back then instead of the Impreza as the Zed is such a more realiable and enjoyable car imo.
  15. Happened in January apparently. Just glad she didn't hurt some innocent motorist.
  16. Maybe it's not that bad then. I had my oil light come on once on an old Mondeo ST24 I had when I drove it continuously around a round about sliding the rear end out ~ wasn't low on oil but I had managed to force all the oil to one side in the sump (as it wasn't baffled) probably meaning for a brief second it was starved of oil which through up the warning light. Still I'd make sure you have a good level of oil tomorrow before driving it.
  17. Have you heard the joke about my penis?? I won't bother telling you it's too long.
  18. ^^ That doesn't sound good to be honest Bradders. Leave the car on a flat level tonight and make sure you do not drive it until you've checked the oil level tomorrow. If the oil light came on then I'd have thought you will definitely be dangerously low on oil.
  19. Same here. Bl**dy endless list... Just one of those things though that is better done at the same time as getting your clutch done as the box is off then already giving you easy fitting access. Watching this thread with interest though.
  20. I know a few girls that would looooooovve that thing. ;) Note: In case my Mrs ever reads this it was a joke btw ~ I know no other women apart from you, my Mum and your Mum. Honestly. I'm not even interested in other women at all. Seriously I don't even notice them. If thats the case, don't go look at the 2 girls in a zed thread that I just replied on

  22. What a tool especially with how bad the weather has been today in places. Glad the 370 wasn't hurt or yourself.
