  1. Good idea Shane but there is a thread already running that pretty much covers this. Link; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/81438-face-to-the-username/ Been a while since people posted in it though so maybe you could revive it.
  2. Generally people won't pay more for a car regardless of what great mods you've done ~ in saying that though there are exceptions to that rule; like people will pay more for a supercharged or turbo charged Zed than a standard one but still when you're talking more minor mods etc then generally people won't pay that much more. For example ~ if your Zed is a 2004 with 64K miles & a Milltek exhaust system for sale at £6200 and there is an identical Zed for sale with no Milltek exhaust for £5700 most buyers will just see yours as being £500 more than the other and most likely go for the cheaper one imo.
  3. That's not good mate at all. Honestly I think you should take it to a reputable garage before things get any worse. That's what I'd do anyway. Who's the closest reputable independent garage to you do you know? Is it Sly at Kaizer Motor Company ; http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/167-kaizer-motor-company/ They have a good rep from members who have used them.
  4. Well the Milltek new is around £800-£900 odd isn't it? Surely worth putting the standard one back on if you still have it (or buying a cheap second hand one) then selling the Milltek. I'd bet someone on here would buy it if it's in good condition and the price is right.
  5. Sounds great and I think it's cheap enough for most people to give it a try. I know I will. Zed look's great btw.
  6. Cheers for the offer but I ended up getting Berks HFC's with an Invidia Gemini exhaust system. Definitely a good idea though to sell some of the mods you've done separately in order to get more cash overall.
  7. Sad to see you're selling up already Broomer. I'd definitely take Wills advice though if I was you as this is probably not the best way to advertise it ~ needs a lot more info & pics but you already know that from your post above by the sounds of it so I'll just say good luck with the sale.
  8. Thanks Paddy. Wasn't the easiest job in the world. Cleaning it and masking up took me a while I'm not going to lie.
  9. Next week I plan on changing my carpets without removing my seats followed by replacing the brake pads with the alloys still on.
  10. When will they learn. Needs spacers ffs.
  11. Hhhmm after reading all this and the eBay ad two things come to my mind; Either ~ he's a scammer or imo, more likely he's just an older gent who doesn't want to get fleeced or have loads of random people coming to view the car.
  12. Cheers Scott. Definitely a better look I think then before.
  13. Welcome Spike. 5 Years of Zed ownership ~ you must have some pictures. Any mods or is it still just standard & loved?
  14. Well yesterday I had finished a hard days work so decided to have some nice cold Carling whilst perusing the members builds on here. Was reading Lyndzzz "members build thread" about her beautiful Zed. Tbh she inspired me to go out and clean a few bits on my Zed. Started with the leather seats, seat belt clips and a few other interior bits, ....then moved onto the engine bay and some how 2 hours later it was looking like this... ^^ Cr*p picture I know but my Carling vision made me believe it was in focus nicely. Anyway I never intended to paint my plenum chamber but it had bugged me for awhile. Lyndzzz plenum looked so good painted and I had some VHT gloss black paint so thought I'd have a crack. Result below which I'm happy with tbh. Not easy painting in situ but doable. Thanks for the inspiration Lyndzzz and Carling.
  15. That's cause nobody likes you Vlad. I jest ~ Happy Birthday for yesterday matey.
  16. Another fantastically interesting read djtimo. That's sh*t about the quote for the cage though ~ tbh I hate things like that so much. I mean what if you couldn't have afforded to pay it? If they f**k up and the job takes them twice as long as they thought it would then that's their problem, not yours and they should make a loss. I'd rather be quoted higher for a job I want doing and then have to pay less rather than the other way around. Glad it's sorted though and the cage does look very well made. Hopefully you'll never need to find out just how well made though.
  17. Just noticed a few people are having their Birthdays today so have a good one all. Happy Birthday to Ricey, ersen.o, Sarahhp18, Niko, meebwolf, edgeydt50 and Afdyce.
  18. I can see why you think the old Escort MK1 might make the Zed seem a little dull Ceejay29 but the Mini?? come on, really? Not a fan of the Mini at all and don't see what all the fuss about them is. Anyway... Each to their own and glad the Cobra went on ok.
  19. Very true plus I've a week off as I have to use my holidays up before September so there is plenty of time to stand back and admire.
  20. My old man has suffered with his back on & off for years and I understand how bad it can be Barry. Unfortunately for my old man in the end it was why he had to sell his TVR Cerbera as it just aggravated his back too much driving that car. Nowadays he drives a BMW 330Ci and doesn't have any problems with his back because of driving even when doing long distances. Just needs to stop more often for loo breaks though nowadays.
  21. You did say though that not a lot was lost when you took the box off but it has got me wondering if maybe there wasn't a lot in there to start with. You can get a gearbox service pack from Horsham Developments for £54 odd which includes the genuine Nissan gearbox oil (3 litres) and Molyslip. That's what I'd try next, ....basically drain what's left of the old oil, refill with new and add the molyslip. http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_1418&products_id=25501
