  1. That's my exhaust!! Bought it off peteman. I always compared it to a more expensive car like an M3. Its not a loud exhaust (only slightly louder than a nismo) but its got a nice tone. YouTube vides will never get the right sound. In this vid I would say it sounds a bit louder with more growl than in reality but I know this was taken shortly after it was fitted so no soot dull the sound. Its a little to quite for me but I have a y pipe sitting in the garage and I'm ordering Berks today. If its still to quiet after that I will invest in the cobra resonated.
  2. Rays ftw, then when you get bored of them you can get spacers. Then when you're bored of them the worlds your oyster. LMGT4s.. Mmmmmm
  3. Oh that's an idea, how long since you did it as mine go cloudy within a few weeks depending on the sun
  4. I had 25mm rears and got them swapped as I thought it was a bit to much. Others have said the same also.
  5. Well I thought it was about time I created a build thread, I have a few mods I am going to install in the next few weeks. I got the car for a bargain (can't remember exactly but it was cheap) and picked it up in August 2013. The only issues were the brake discs were shot and the headlights were foggy, got that sorted with some Black Diamond discs from Cougar Store (great service by the way ) and some Megs polish on the lights. Sorted: They keep fogging up so need some UV resistant covering (Gtechniq UV stuff £££) Well this is how she sat after a good clean: Since then I have done the Bose hack and added a cheap Bluetooth unit which I have to say is great. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...ME:L:OU:GB:3160 Works great and pairs when you get in the car without fail, only 2 issues are it has a battery so if I pop to the shop I will have to re-pair my phone, if you could bypass the battery it would just power on and off with the car. Second issue is that it had a bit of background noise due to the USB power from the cig lighter. Sorted this with a '3.5mm Ground Loop Isolator', now the system can play anything from my phone/tablet with no wires and no fuss! I was going to upgrade my headunit but after this simple mod I can wait Next was a Scorpion exhaust bought from Peteman on here, nice sounding unit and cheap, see below for the actual exhaust from Pete: Well a few more minor mods got put on like a stubby Ariel, a Cosworth filter and a new rear wiper blade The one item that did make a big difference to the car was the D1 Spec Throttle Controller, easy fitting and made the car so much easier to drive day to day, I have it on Eco 3 most of the time which dulls the throttle and makes it 1000x easier in traffic. If I set it to Sports 3 mode its so responsive. It has to be the best mod I have ever made to any car! Now the mods are all built up in my garage waiting to be fitted, Tein springs, 20mm spacers all round thanks to Couger Store(25mm rear looked wrong to me) and a Toyo sports Y pipe which I got brand new off ebay for about £80. I know Toyo sport products are not well reviewed on here however its not got any parts that can go wrong. Its a pipe with flexi's and it seems very good quality so to me its worth the gamble. Just a minor mod today but a mod i'm sure a lot of you will do...the delivery of my genuine aluminum kick plates: Cheeky little view of the D1 Spec Throttle Controller (I did clean the mats after these photos as I felt bad...) I saw these recommended in the following thread: http://www.350z-uk.c...-for-350z-2006/ Came from America with tracking, I was worried I would have to pay import duty but no issues. Well that's it for the time being, tomorrow I get paid with my bonus money and the Berks are on order and then the fitting. :teeth: Once everything is fitted its remap time with Abbey I do need a boot hoop so I can fit a net as one of mine is missing, the steering wheel done and a new gear knob....Zeditus kicked in a long time ago. Its taken a year but its coming together, anything you want to ask about the mods let me know as I will happily respond to messages. EDIT: Just thought I would add on the end, my very good friend has a Astra VXR which at some point we will go to Santa Pod so the old discussion about whats fastest will be resolved (sort of). It is a good looking car but came with a hefty price tag which I wont share :
  6. I am getting close to my re-map so I have to have this mod in my life. I have heard this mod provides at least 100bhp!
  7. Fifth gear did a test on some hardware but they all came out as off the actual 0-60 time. You can download the torque application which does a lot of stuff
  8. I've driven the citreon c1 which I believe is the same car with a different body. The gear stick felt like it was stuck in a blancmange. Terrible car with no power. Please drive an I10 if you're looking at others.
  9. I've driven a lot of small cars and the i10 is the best little run around available. So good in fact the the mother now now has one. Couldn't advise on a better small car!
  10. Right, bought a Toyo sports Y pipe off eBay. The exit to this is 3 inch but the Scorpion I have on the car is 2.5 inch I believe. Will this cause issues?
  11. Didn't read the listing quite correct, import taxes etc are NOT included: “International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as ‘gifts’ - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. Too late now, let's see what happens...
  12. Damn. Just read this and bought a set...
  13. Remap, Abbey and Horsham will remove the warning light when doing the map

  18. What lexx said, I posted there about a blue tooth adaptor, £6
  19. Looks like a good fit! Think I will invest.
  20. I like it. I take it this was the eBay copy? How was the fit? If you could get a photo of the part that meets the boot I would be very greatful!
  21. If you don't want to much volume then go scorpion. Makes it sound nicer and in no way intrusive. Won't rott and same price.
  22. Hooch

    ARK Grip

So what was the total price? Really tempted but i'm sure it will be to much to justify for me...
  23. Tom, buy a motordyne system and spend the rest on a holiday for gods sake.
