I have seen most places charge £15 a corner for fitting. Hopefully I can get it a bit cheaper as my mechanic has a fitting machine. I just don't think I can justify paying £600 for MPSS, especially as the last 3 times I have changed tyres its because they have cracked! I think I'm going to have a look around at fitting prices and go for the Falkens, if I can get close to £400 I will be happy. Does anyone know how the Falkens compare to the RE050's?

Amended, no excuses now! So you rate the Kumho KU39 better than other big names in your list, that's surprising. Got any more details on why you favoured them?

You had to do it didn't you! MPSS I have worked out at £615 just out of interest which will be a waste I think.

I know its not life or death (unless I choose Linglongs) but they will be on there for a good few years so want to make sure I don't end up with a car that looses it in the wet. I have priced up some of the common ones (best price): Kumho KU39: £330 + Fitting = £390 Eagle F1: £480 + Fitting = £540 Falken 453: £406 + Fitting = £466 Hankook S1: £419 + Fitting = £479 So it is quite a saving going for the Kumho's but is the saving worth the decrease in grip, that's what I can't work out

Interesting, it seems the Hankook's are only being brought up recently, have they started getting better? The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 are only around £100 but people always mention the Hankook Ventus S1. There's an Evo 1 version of the S1's and an Evo 2, what's the difference in these? And I'v never heard of Nexen N8000 tyres, there's some interesting stuff on the internet about them also. So many tyres!!

Right, been looking through a lot of threads and annoyingly most of the posts are arguments. To avoid this you are not allowed to mention Michelin Pilot SUPER Sports, this should avoid arguments (hopefully) I need to replace all 4 of my tyres as the current ones are cracked (manufacture date 2010, not good!) and the fronts are low. Currently I'm on a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050. I don't want to spend a huge amount as I don't do track days but when I want a spirited drive I don't want to end up in a hedge. I could go with the RE050's again for £128 each corner but its a bit over budget and I wanted some more suggestions. Can I get something equal or better for cheaper? I like the idea of the Kumho KU39's at £88....

One small change but a good one, managed to buy a Nismo GT Titanium gear knob from a forum member. These were circa £140 if I bought new so got it for £70. (sorry for the blurry photo) That's been matched with a finisher which I bought from the US and had shipped over by ZeeToyz, really finishes it off nicely.

Did you make any changes like LED bulbs etc? Might be worth removing the batter for a while and see if that resolves it?

Now I don't know what to believe! I've cleaned other throttle bodies and had no problems so I guess this issue was a bit overblown. Will still steer clear though

I took the wheel off and checked for play and couldnt find anything wrong. In the end I was pretty confident which corner it was and couldn't think of anything else that could cause the noise so took the plunge. My mechanic confimed it was noisy once it was off and the problem was gone.

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me, for some reason they sound different on the Zed than other cars. Mine vibrated and made a whering sound at certain speeds. Mine was worse turning right and was the nearside front so I'm guessing offside side for you. I left mine to get bad then I could confirm which side it was. Front are more expensive than the rear, mine was front and cost about £130 as it's pretty much the whole hub (looks cheaper now!). Got it off eBay which was cheapest.

Disconnect the battery and the sensor plug on the throttle body, then you have no chance of corrupting the ECU.

I have tried Redline Styling but its £148 which I just can't justify for a gear knob.
