  1. Pretty used to having a strip torn off me.....
  2. Bin liner tapped over it.......
  3. My excess is £80, the fitter did not know the real price. Only thing of note is the top strip has to be replaced too. Not pleasant watching the bodywork being 'ripped' off. The guy from Autoglass did a good careful job..... and then it started to sleet!
  4. Just my luck, two days before its MOT and wham - huge stone strike on the windscreen, slap bang in front of the drivers view. (Obvious MOT failure). So Insurance sorted, MOT cancelled until screen replaced..... Autoglass contacted, but not able to fit one for 8 (EIGHT) days!! Not a pleasant procedure to watch! MOT re-booked for tomorrow.
  5. Just the one, looks like a mixed bag of stuff off to the auction? Mostly Mercs. Wife spotted it and snapped it with my crappy old phone. Busy day for Zeds, had just spotted a silver 370 in lane 4 giving it large, another silver 370 in Sainsbury's London Colney parked on its own of course (same?), and then a black 350 at Shenleybury rbt driven by a lady. In the wife's Range Rover at the time...
  6. Cabinet Office Briefing Room A Rumour has it that the government is building an ark for themselves with all the funds diverted from the Environment Agency....... They must have got the idea from Russell Crowe........ [got moved from off topic discussion]
  7. Yes they are indeed GT4 wheels. Fitted as 'standard' on the last models sold. When we bought our coupe, there were 4 350z roadsters sitting in the back lot, and they all had GT4 wheels too. Apparently..... the last coupe's sold were a job lot for Eire, and I tend to believe this as these cars have mph speedos when Eire went over to kph. They were delivered to mainland UK and never made it to Eire. All were GT models, most with satnav, and all the ones I have ever seen have upgraded seat colours. There is one problem which makes them expensive to run...... they run on Guinness!! Last photo from last summer:-
  8. Brand new fresh from Nissan Holdcroft in Stoke on Trent back in March 2009 And still looks the same today....... Except for 10,000 miles.......
  9. Have been through the Duplex in Paris a few times now, alas only once in our Zed. ..... 10km long. NO bikes, and a 2m height restriction! It was interesting in our Navara!
  10. It was discussed here - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73627-square-front-plates/ You can have square on the front as long as the numerals are the correct size.
  11. I failed by leaving it logged in...... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Barbie-W3141-Barbies-California-Dream/dp/B0052J5F4U/ref=sr_1_4/277-1528270-6200340?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1376060800&sr=1-4
  12. Just read this myself....... As well as this my 'mate' managed to order me a dolls house on Amazon (managed to cancel it) Sorry left my iPad on the kitchen table, as I made him a coffee. God only knows what else he has done......... Thought these practical jokes only happened at work. Don't get mad get even.
  13. I know this sounds dumb.......... Fit the bolt that doesn't line up first- then fit the others........... Only torque them down when all four are fitted. Worth a try.
  14. Just used Costco when I replaced all four. OEM RE050A at £167 fronts, £171 rears. (Each) fully fitted etc. These are the ones with the re-enforced tyre wall with the 'outside' 'inside' fitting. I have seen Bridgstone RE050A's with rotational markings so not re-enforced on the outer wall.
  15. However, during the war.......... http://www.rsc.org/AboutUs/News/PressReleases/2009/SpitfireFuel.asp To quote a famous brand "every little helps"
  16. As for the built in satnav, if it has one, the disc can be updated. But only the map system. The basics remain the same - NO postcode input. It's OK but the system was introduced many moons ago and is long out of date. .... My car has one........ 2012/13 disc....... The details are the same as my wife's new Range Rover..... A petrol station in my neighbours garden..... Discs cost about £30 on line. (X7)
  17. When we bought ours new in March 2009 the GT4 wheels were on the vehicle. They were also on the three roadsters in the lot unregistered at the back. We bought a cancelled order, and on the bill of sale they were shown as optional extras along with the GT pack, satnav, orange seats, mats and boot mat. I am not saying its right, just the way it was. Oh it's a HR 313. The car has just had the original tyres changed due to age, they were made at the end of 2007 (all four) - 10,000 miles only. One of the rear wheels was changed under warranty due to marks under the lacquer, it took nearly three weeks to source one - from the US of A ( Good story if you believe the dealer..... ) Someone must know the true story of the GT4s on the later models. I tend to believe the Irish theory. It was at the end of 2007 when they changed over to km's from mph.
  18. Also in the States you can drive through the flashing red ATS, but you must give way to the other carriageway, which has a flashing amber.(flashing amber has priority) They go over to this at night from normal operation. Of course they have the Grand Prix type ATS over there, because they change straight from red to green - no amber, only on the stopping phase.
  19. Speedo is Imperial, and the V5's show them as UK models. Apart from the wheels there is no difference......... Although they do run on Guiness and not 98ron petrol...........
  20. Yes that is correct. Last models sold came with the "GT4" wheels, and were more likely than not a GT spec. Ours was purchased in March '09.
  21. Pete (Jetset) , did you enter "retired" on your insurance? That is a higher rating than say "house husband", which is a lower rate....... Try this...... http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/car-insurance-job-picker/ Worth a try........
  22. Already in use by the authorities - and coming to your local MOT facility soon........
  23. You think that's bad......... I'm insured by SAGA................. and it's cheaper! Now if only I could fit the Zimmer frame in the boot......
  24. "They" say the train was doing about 180kph in an 80kph zone.
