    BMW????

Phew, a bit of homework - they are Chinese, and the badge at the front has been swapped as the original is a round recessed badge too. Spooky it has the kidney shaped grills....... Driver/owner must have a sense of humour...........

    BMW????

Please, please, someone tell me this is not true........
  3. They also have another Zed on thier site - an 06 for £10.5k http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-06-Nissan-350-Z-3-5-V6-300-GT-3dr-UK-Car-/151083744990? The book price for mine (350z) is only 10.5k on an 09 with 10,000miles!
  4. I think you will find that everyone has their own favorite when it comes to cleaning products. I myself finish off with Dodo Juice 'blue velvet' after polishing the car with Auto Glym. Apparently Gtechniq is in vogue at the moment. I suppose it's down to how much you want to spend. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73834-gave-it-a-good-clean-apparently-its-called-detailing-now/ Just did mine....... before the thunder storms......
  5. Dave, there is a meet at the Ace Cafe on Saturday 3rd August FYI http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66360-350z-370z-ace-cafe-london-meet-sat-aug-3rd-11am-4pm/
  6. I know it's a long time ago, but I don't remember taking my test(*) with passengers in the back......... *(Driving of course)
  7. The real secret is that it's an 09 plate, and we have had it since new. It's just done 10k! Long story but its being put to good use now.
  8. I'm retired.................. Would have been quicker but I keep tripping over my zimmer frame - hey I've got two zeds then!
  9. So paid some attention to fellow members and cleaned the car. Weather today was overcast - so I went for it Gave it a wash using Costco's finest bulk buy stuff, used two buckets. [got told off by the wife for using two] No sponge, just one of those weird mitten things. [wife commented on what do you look like...] Went to wipe it down but the wife had nicked my new microfiber because it cleans the house windows real nice So had to wash the microfiber. Stole the plasticine from the kids next door and wet the car with some posh stuff and rubbed the plasticine all over the paintwork. Washed the car again. [got told off by the wife again - you've just washed it!] Microfiber was to hand this time Gave it a good polish with some stuff that the Prince of Wales recommends [doubt he would ever use it himself.....] Then gave it a good old fashioned wax with some extract from a long extinct bird. Took me the best part of six hours. .............. I then washed the wife's car which took just under an hour. One day I will open a fancy picture account, one day...... and today is the day [updated]

    France

The breathalyser usually comes in a packet of two. The kit is a requirement, but is not enforced by law (no fine) as the law was repealed. The toll booth speed check is a myth........ Was over there a short while ago, and they were picking on the Brits and checking for the hi-vis jkts - one per occupant, and within easy reach. NOT in the boot! And of course the motorcycle cops were in short sleeves ......... no hi-vis vests.

    France

If you are using the French Autoroutes, then it is worth getting the Liber-t télépéage tag in the window. This time of year it will be a great help as the queues at the tolls can be huge. Oh and don't forget, if travelling through Paris (most routes end up going around on the A86), then utilise the 'Duplex' - no motorcycles, and nothing over 2m high (only brave 4x4 drivers) http://www.tollroadsnews.com/node/3906 ............... It's 10.1km long.......................
  12. Must be legal then...................
  13. If you still have the original unit with a cassette deck - then just buy one of these:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-CPA9-AE-Car-cassette-adaptor/dp/B00007EDLW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1373975777&sr=8-4&keywords=ipod+cassette+adaptor You can pick one up at a pound shop too.............
  14. Petrolheads :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petrolheads Oh dear, I think not.........
  15. Oil feed problem? Or if using premix, not mixed......? Saw the same result on a Benelli 250, many years ago. I take it that piston has been 'spot welded' into the cylinder head. Must have been lucky not to have holed the hull with all that flying metal.
  16. Last couple of weeks I have been in the "Driving Miss Daisy" mode - literally. My wife's cousin is unwell, so I have been driving her to Mount Vernon Hospital from Hatfield on a daily basis. She is elderly and not very well. Anyway got bored so started messing with knobs and dials etc. and got this.......... Gobsmacked..........
  17. London Colney Rbt / A1081, didn't see you at first as trying to find some decent music at the lights, heard it first and when looked up just the rear view disappearing round the roundabout.
  18. You might even end up in the transit area at Moscow airport............
  19. I can see where this thread is going............. No, please, no no no..............
  20. Nicely parked at the end. Sorry about the photo - only had my ancient cellular telephone............... Must be the first Zed I've ever seen there.

    Nav DVD

I have used the 'Satnavi' discs on a few occasions now - for the Zed and my old Navara, which used the same system. If you buy a second and future discs from him, he offers discount. So wouldn't it be worth either group purchases or even see if he will offer a forum discount? Worth noting though that when you put in an updated disc, then put back in the old one, it wants the latest one back. These discs only update the latest roads and points of interest etc. and do not give you the postcode entry option of course. They do update the graphics slightly - nice. This was the one fitted as standard in our 2009 350z ....... a 2007 disc. And this is the last one I purchased. Hope this helps.
  22. Saw the black 'HGV' driving out of Chipperfield towards Kings Langley. Didn't expect any acknowledgment whatsoever as in the wife's Land Rover taking it into the garage (again).
  23. A bit late, but COSTCO do Bridgestones at £167 per front & £170 per rear (includes fitting and VAT) As of 17th June 13 But you have to be a member, or know someone who is......
  24. Peter, Have used 'satnavi' on a couple of occasions now (inc our old Navara), and can recommend them. Of course the system remains the same, and only roads etc are updated with nice new graphics. Latest disc includes the 'Duplex' under Paris........ ....Google it ......use it .........and stay in second! (Of course with the windows down) Never busy, costs a bomb, and has a 2m height restriction, so no vans, and only brave 4x4 owners. Oh, and it's 10.1km long........ http://www.tollroadsnews.com/node/3906 Now if a convoy of Zeds ......... [i'm old and retired, and really should know better]
