  1. Found this on my bike forum, hope it's not been posted before. Nice touches are the donuts around the donut shop and overtaking the 'OJ' Simpson 'chase'......
  2. Same thing, you keep whatever is on the car (eg AB55CED) - on retention, and they assign an age related plate. But it will be from the DVLA Swansea list, so won't be area related.
  3. We had a new car with a personalised plate issued from day one, when we sold it the plate is put on retention, but as the vehicle was a 62 plate it was given a new 62 plate from DVLA, it will be a Swansea area No. not one from your local area.
  4. Watched mine get removed when I had a new screen fitted. B pillars removed first - clips. A pillar has about 8 screws under the rubber door seal that need to be removed before it being unclipped. http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/Clviii/media/350z/IMG00396-20140327-1311_zps9f7048f6.jpg.html
  5. Have you tried Davida Helmets, a lot of Triumph riders wear them on their Cafe Racers.
  6. Can't be that bad as Winston Wolf ( Harvey Keitel ) has swapped his NSX for one! (BRZ/GT86)........
  7. Summons legislation- Date of offence - 6 months to apply for a summons. Then from summons application 6 months to serve. Yes, in theory only safe after 12 months. Reality it's just after 6 months as most summonses are obtained straight away. DVLA records are the ones that count......... But... Stupid errors like bus drivers taking their test and their new licence showing "automatic only" - yes for the bus, but the DVLA then downgrade the poor chaps car licence to automatic! You have got to check carefully. Latest one is changing over, or just exchanging to a photo card licence, they omit the pre 1997 extras (towing, 7.5tons, mini buses etc)
  8. If/when the Scots gain Independence, will all the websites have to be changed......... .CO.UK won't apply anymore.......
  9. Use this https://www.gov.uk/tax-disc
  10. If the MID say you are insured then so do the tax people....... Just apply on line.
  11. Use this to see if you are insured:- http://ownvehicle.askmid.com On within 24hrs This system is the same database that the Gov Tax uses.
  12. Not much good if your number is..... say 1441........ It is a hoax, but was patented, but not used. Google it.
  13. The Bubble Room (restaurant) on Captiva Island.
  14. Just spoke to Alamo car hire in Orlando, you DO NOT need an IDP if you have a UK photocard licence with the paper part too, and of course your passport.
  15. Correct [not even high speed] - and also if the rider 'appears' to be a juvenile.
  16. It's to do with 'elf n safety' varies from Force to Force. Drawn up by civilians as risk assessment documents. Of course it all depends on what the motorcyclist has done. If you have just shot the Prime Minister and made off on a solo, you're going to get 'stopped', if you have committed a minor road traffic offence, then the police will be ordered not to pursue. Also depends on level of training of the driver too. I suppose you could request the details of each Forces policy under some freedom of information act. Of course the above is out of date now.......... Retired.
  17. Silver JDM, nice zorst and rear spoiler. Was travelling the other way in the wife's Land Rover product. Don't see many down here. Too quick to see the reg etc.
  18. Black 58 plate HR Waitrose car park at about 3pm yesterday (2/7/14)
  19. I was always impressed on how well he parked this one in the car park......
  20. Go on ....... it's what you really want........ But I'm biased - I've had two wheels in my garage since 1978. And together....
  21. The wife's cousin just bought herself a new car. Sorry about the pics, but it's what she posted on her Facebook site. "Lovin it" she says.
  22. Oh, sorry ..... In the last 6 years........... He stated the car that all the fitters avoid is the Audi A4 cabriolet ........
  23. Autoglass had the strip as part of the package (the fitter put it over his window vents in his van on hot to make it supple). The guy knew what he was doing, took off the B pillars, then the A pillars and knew where all the fixings and screws were. No damage to any fixings. Bottom of the screen located onto the two green clips. .... this was the third 350 he had ever done.........
