  1. Thanks mate. That colour along with the frost interior is what tempted me in the first place. A few in that colour for sale at the moment. Could always trade yours in and start all over again I don't think my bank account could stomach getting rid of what I've done and starting again especially to an HR. Haha. You've done an impressive build mate. Maybe sometime in the future I would think about a charger, but I can't justify spending 10k on one for mine.

  3. At first glance, here's a nice HR within your price range. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201502241217367?atmobcid=soc3
  4. What would you like next kind sir? Some 19" Varrstoens I think, the silver ones would look nice, then maybe drop it it on some Teins....btw haven't got around to fitting mine yet. That should do for now. I'll think of some other stuff for next week Well if you haven't fitted them yet, you could always send them to me and I'll fit them. Then you'll know what it looks like
  5. Picked up my newly painted Tarmac side steps from the paint shop this morning, so had to fit them straight away
  6. Nice one Chirag Reminds me of when I did my jump years ago. Wasnt in Oz though. Brilliant video too. Glad you had a good time.
  7. Hi Stewart, I would definitely recommend getting another Z, but have a little more patience with any niggling bits and pieces that require attention. If you're lucky, you're 8-9k budget could stretch to an HR. I paid 10k for mine 6 months ago but occasionally they pop up in your price bracket. Lots and lots of good advice on here from a friendly bunch of people, and some good traders too. With regards to finding a local specialist to work on your car, I can't answer that one, as I am more than willing to travel for an hour or more to use a trusted and recommended garage that really knows these cars. I use cougar store in Leicester for mine. They are on this forum, along with plenty of others, which other members will also travel miles to go and see. Look forward to seeing your new Z soon
  8. Oil pressure is ok. Will that affect noise from the fuel dampers then? It's occasional when the noise appears, but it's quite loud from outside the car. No but low oil pressure is common on HR engines and can produce top end noises which sounds like the dampeners Ah, ok I see where you're coming from.

  10. Steve, when are you going to buy a proper exhaust? Can't afford a proper exhaust. I keep spending money on other mods to trial on your car
  11. If you wanna hear a cobra exhaust, feel free to pop round and have a listen.
  12. Got mine to connect today, with same obd dongle as you I think.
  13. Hi all, I've posted in the past about a clicking/ tapping noise coming from somewhere on my car, but have never really been able to pinpoint where it's coming from. Some people have suggested driveshafts, but I just get the single click from there when changing direction. Well, today I've been able to pinpoint it a bit more. Whilst playing around with some obd software on my head unit ( sat in car with engine running outside my house), I slowly started increasing the revs. When I got to about 2000rpm the clicking started under the bonnet. The noise remained til I got up above 2500rpm. It's a continuous fast clicking. Would I be right in thinking this could be the fuel dampers? Has anybody else had this on their HR? Where can I purchase new dampers/ how much? I can only find previous history of this on DE engines.
  14. Change the exhaust from the catalytic converters back to the rear of the car. ( cat back)
  15. Just finished watching the 'Trading Up' series where he got to buy a Ferrari Will set this to record. Cheers
  16. Welcome Col. Nice selection of cars you've had through the years.
  17. NDS III trial version released this morning
  18. We had a leather suite from DFS which lasted 10 years. One of the kids covered the 3 seater in lipstick years ago. I rang DFS. They sent a specialist out and within a few days, it looked brand new again We now have a suite from SCS. It's a cloth one, and very comfortable. The free carpet is limited to 16 square metres, but the offer had just finished when we bought ours a few weeks back.
  19. Hopefully they'll be fine once I've worn off the extra stickiness then
  20. Never nice. Still enjoying the scirocco then? Yeah but it went into limp mode today, so needs sorting, sigh! Hope it's something simple mate
