  1. Orange one parked up by the Moon Under Water pub at about 11:30 this morning 53/54 plate and a black one going down the A10 between Southbury Road and the retail park on the right at around 14:30 - 54 plate I think.
  2. They do seem to have some nice 370's up there but I've never once heard a good thing about them. While I have had no dealings with them myself the fact that they quite often get bad write ups would lead me elsewhere. For the record my 07 Rev-Up is on 95k and the gearbox is good as gold. Sounds to me like there trying to pull a fast one.
  3. One of the engine fans will come on as soon as you put the air-con on as well. I found that out after I thought I had a fan issue and someone on here kindly pointed that out for me :-) Just noticed M13KYF also pointed that out as well :-)
  4. My time is divided between Royston and Enfield but I'd certainly be up for a meet for sure. I know there's a few others up that way so if I hear or see of anything on here I'll give you a shout :-)
  5. I totally get where you're coming from! I used to take a couple of spaces if I could and there were plenty of free ones, but I've noticed they've got signs up there now for parking enforcement and I don't want to find out the hard way if I start parking funny. Actually I followed a blue one on the A10 today whilst heading to Royston- an 04. Think it's plate ended WMD. Flashed the lights etc but got zero response. Can't win them all I guess. I'll keep an eye out if I see your yellow one up that way though - always nice to meet a fellow Zedder.
  6. Finally someone has spotted me! I always try and get over in that space if I can. The old girl needs a good wash though so not a great day for a spot.
  7. You can wire the oem satnav sound into an aux input on the aftermarket headunit, only problem then is you either have music of sat nav source. I never got around to experimenting with using the tel mute to cut music for sat nav or wiring in a separate speaker for the sat nav. Thanks - I didn't realise that was possible. Sounds like it could be a liveable compromise - it's not like I use the SatNav on a daily basis anyway I just wouldn't want to lose that function.
  8. I notice you have factory satnav. Will the voice from the nav still work? I swear I've read on here that you lose the voice with an aftermarket head unit - one of the reasons I've yet to upgrade. I guess if it's something that doesn't bother you it's not an issue but I like the voice talking when I'm driving. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on this.
  9. Rover Metro 1.1 Rover Metro GTi 16v Renault 5 GT Turbo Ford Ka (second car to GT Turbo) Renault Clio 172 mk2 (first ever brand new car) Renault Clio 182 (second ever brand new car) Renault Clio 1.9D (second car to 182) Ford Mondeo ST24 (second car to 182) 350z Considering how long I've been driving (22 years now) that list is pretty small compared to some - however I had the GTTurbo and the 182 for 16 years between them. No matter what you may think of Renault they've built some fantastic hot hatches over the years.
  10. With regards to your insurer - my one (Flux) didn't put the price up at all when I told them about my Cobra.
  11. Or the unnecessary handbrake/J turn in front of that car on an empty road. I guess it looks good!
  12. Anyone ever thought about one, or two, of these things? http://www.cmgdistributions.co.uk I keep toying with the idea - they just seem a little expensive for what they actually are but you've only got to factor in a few smart repairs or a respray and you've got your money back.
  13. Sounds very similar to what I had on my car. Noise on depressing the clutch, high biting point, judder in first.....mine required a new clutch and Dual Mass Flywheel. I think it'd be bad luck if you needed both of those at just 23k but I guess you never really know how it's been driven prior to yourself. You'll be looking at around the £800 mark based on my experience.
  14. Must be Zed hunting season at moment - every other thread seems to another one caught in some sort of incident. Hope you get it sorted back to the standard it was. I might start up a group buy on the bubble wrap that got mentioned - see if we can get a forum discount.
  15. Well hopefully it's a clear cut case and everyone claims off the Meriva driver as well they should. I wouldn't want her premium next year that's for sure - going to be a nice bill for that lot to be sorted out.
  16. Sorry to see that - I think I speak for everyone on here when I say I'd be gutted if that'd been my car - here's hoping for a quality and speedy repair. I always thought with a shunt like this everyone claims off of whoever hit them? A claims off B, B claims off C, C off D etc. I've no experience with it but I swear that's how it went? Hopefully I'm wrong - it really should just go to the person that caused it in the first place.
  17. I can't listen to 'Take on Me' without thinking of the Family Guy episode where Chris randomly gets pulled into the A-Ha video in the supermarket. 'Chris! Where have you been?' 'I don't know!!' Love it.
  18. I'm not sure where the you would stand now in terms of insurance seeing as an agreement had been made, money had changed hands and both went their separate ways. There is no proof as such of any sort of transaction but it could get very messy now if the insurance route is followed. I guess the best thing now is hope it gets fixed to its previous standard and that it doesn't cost anymore than £200.
  19. Good job on stopping the guy. Bit of a chancer trying to drive off then saying it'll rub out! Cheeky sod! I think personally I'd have gone through insurance. I know it can affect your own premium in some cases despite it not being your fault, but you never know what's lurking underneath. Hopefully the £200 you got will cover everything required and leave you with a bit of change in your pocket. I'm guessing its a full bumper respray job or are you going for a 'smart' repair and blend in? Could be an opportunity to smooth the bumper and lose the plate holder....... Hope it goes ok though.
  20. Don't forget to budget for a flywheel - chances are it's past it's best if you're replacing the clutch as well. I'd say you're looking at about £2000-£2500 for all that lot depending on what particular parts you use. I recommend Japex or CS from personal experience.
  21. That looks great - nice and subtle - I'm feeling inspired. So with those springs are any other modifications required (camber adjustment etc) or is it simply a case of put on and go drive? Also what size tyres do you have with those wheels?
  22. I had mine changed this year and made a thread about the DMF failing which you may find helpful - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82312-symptoms-of-a-failed-dual-mass-flywheel/page__hl__symptoms
  23. Talking of phones I remember when I got a Nokia 3210 with....predictive text. Truly mind boggling stuff back then.
