The finished article, sort of! Just got to get them all back together & tyres on When the sun hits them, they come alive

Seems real slow again, anyone else suffering, took a good 30 secs + to bring this page up!

No need for editing
-
i have edited many posts, either they havent read correctly or i have spelled something wrong, left a word out etc, but that is within minutes of writing it, i have no idea why anyone would want to revisit a post made days/weeks before to change what they have written entirely. As on another forum i use, the edit function is only available for ltd time for mistakes to be corrected, i think its a day only.
-
Sorry dont want to be some sort of crusader but questioning why the edit function is left on indefinitely? Imho there is no need to edit posts from days before unless you are knowingly trying to misrepresent something you have said. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I use a forum where the edit feature is only open for an hour or so after original posting for the reason that people were editing posts a long time after posting because they wanted to claim they hadnt said "x" or trying to cover things up. There were many examples, sale prices were changed, whats included in sale adds were changed, conditon etc condemning/threatening behaviour etc etc etc Imho there is no need to edit posts days and days after you posted. The buyer obviously was pleased and wanted people to know he got a bargain, but obviously that didnt seem such a good comment when it came back up for sale and i am sure we can all work out why otherwise there would be no need to edit his original post. Quite frankly it doesnt affect me and have seen it way too many times on forums.

I have seen hornets before and can safely say this was nothing like it!

yeah he's been great with it. I think wide front arches is the way to go. Going to look at what options are out there. Because if there flush then I need a bumper to match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk yeah he's been great with it. I think wide front arches is the way to go. Going to look at what options are out there. Because if there flush then I need a bumper to match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I couldnt find many more than the ones i linked too, the question is, is a bumper required or do they just flare out where needed and still meet the leading edge of the bumper. I really like the 4th ones, a bit different, but not sure if the skirts are required for similar reasons, if you do any digging let me know and may split the shipping with you mate.

The reason that was the best one is because i never twatted around with it, lol! Soon as you get into the bhp quest it becomes dangerous territory. To be fair the last one i had was rebuilt and ran 450 bhp since its rebuild and did 20k miles, so not too bad. Their rep is a exaggerated but not unfounded, my first one never let me down once, buy right and look after them and they will do miles and miles, but you do need to give them more attention than a piston engine, regular oil check and top ups etc etc, they dont like being switched off before they are up to temp and they do need to be spanked pretty much every time you go to clear the carbon deposits!
-
easiest route really Hmm I quite like the last one. I like those but couldnt work out if you need their skirts too

I had a 10-12 year love affair with Rx7s, from std (breathing mods/ecu) to the last incarnation which was 501hp. Great cars but my last few spent more time being fettled than driven and the ownership is getting dubious to say the least Would love an Evo, most likely a 6, again though i just cant escape the growing reputation of current ownership sadly, the same goes for later model scoobs! Unless my budget stretched significantly i am not sure what i would change too, maybe the only temptation would be a R32GTR before they go mental in price. This was my first and imho best Rx7 i had

Just woke up to one of these giant mother f..........s in my room! Yes i know this thread is worthless without pics but god damn it was big, at least 2" long and a chunky b......t with a nasty look in his eye, i apologise for not thinking, i should get the camera, but i was tackle out, slightly dazed from just waking to what i thought was a helicopter buzzing around my bedroom and i just wanted it out! You have been warned, but on the plus side, you would have no trouble swatting it due to the size

What a great topic, nothing like reliving your youth! Gladiators was religiously watched and remember seeing Jet and Lightening at a few bike shows! My mate is married to a girl who was one of the champions and knew Phil Norman, also a champion. A couple of my best mates were top dj's but never really got into the scene although did go to a few of their sets Bizarrely enough on Friday i spotted an old school retro Bmx whilst out at my sprayers, a Diamond Back, made some enquiries and bought it cheap, just trying to identify it but think its a silver streak or hopefully a turbo, worth a mint done up so thats the plan but will keep hold of it! I used to while away hours playing Jet Set Willy on the Spectrum 64 and Donkey Kong on an Atari!

Alignment will be the same, you may have smaller wheels but the rolling radius wil be the same due to larger profile tyre

Education is the key................. or is it?
Jetpilot replied to StevoD's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I have only skim read so apologies if its been covered! Did i have the ability to learn about things i had zero interest in at school, no, do i have the ability to learn about things i am interested in, absolutely, which came as a complete shock to me after i left school thinking i was stupid. Unfortunately schools neither have the time or resources to devote to individuals strengths, either you conform or you are left outside to ponder your abilities! Schooling has changed a lot since i was there but still dont think they are able to recognise an individuals talents and nurture them, its a set curriculum. School however gave me the fundamentals i need for life, english and maths (even some maths was a complete farce for me) so i cant complain -
Your story basicly sums me up spot on. I've always been a shy character but i get on with anyone and everyone, but one day at work it just hit me and a little while after thats when my attacks started to happen. I went to the docs, they offered me tablets and CBT, I chose tablets probably cause I find it hard to talk to some people anyway and just hid away from that i guess. But now I'm thinking about going down the CBT route. Thanks for replying. Like you said its crazy when you realise the ammount of people that go through the same thing and how much better you feel once you've spoen to people that have been through it I did use St Johns Wart, a natural anti depressant, i dont know if it helped. Dont mix tabs though, i you want to try them advise your doctor for the correct course of action as you may not be able to just stop taking the tablets you are and need to gradually lower the dose. It does take 2 / 3 months for any tablets to have an affect though! Cbt will just give you a thought process to act on to try and train your mind and divert it away from the anxiety, no bad thing, but i knew life was ok so was already thinking as positive as i could! Honestly, you will be ok, just take your time, take one day at a time and see that as a personal goal

I was diagnosed with depression the year before last, out of blue, never had it before and never want it again! I am usually a very upbeat character and usually have a smile on my face, i thought something didnt seem quite right for a while, i went to do a small job on a Monday morning that i wouldnt normally bat an eyelid at, but when i got there, i just couldnt do it or thought i couldnt do it, i got it done and spoke to my sister who said straight away, you have depression, she recognised the signs from her husband! My response was, i have nothing to be depressed about, i thought i was quite happy with life, albeit a few issues in the background! I went to see the Doc, filled out a form and was diagnosed with moderate depression. I was offered tablets and or cbt (form of counselling), i choose neither as wanted to see if i could pull through myself. It took a good 4 months before i felt more me, 6 months before life didnt seem such a battle. How did i get through: Not sure really, i did whatever i felt best, if i wanted to talk to people about it, i did and if i didnt i ddint! If i wanted to shut the curtains and go to bed, i did! I spoke to some good friends and was amazed to find out many others had been through the same, it was incredibly how lonely you felt like you were the only one, it was very encouraging to know others had been there and got better, also helps that others understood. I dont think there is an answer or quick fix, maybe i was fortunate that i worked it out for myself and by that i mean, what i needed to do to get through it! Its a chemical imbalance in the brain and new worst case i could take some tablets to sort it. My advise would be, if you need help or think you do, ask for it, from a doc by the way Good luck you will get there

The colour works really well on the sunset buddy, think Bobster might be getting his rattle cans out again

The z4m was 30% more to buy, it should be better, way better! The fact it now sits in a very similar price bracket as a considerable cheaper car when new suggests it was not a popular choice or you can view it the other way and its a positive bargain. Either way, i guess with performance figures being close, its going to come down, trim levels and which one you prefer the look of, so I would drive both as others have suggested!

I would but you need to be signed up, no one is having harsh words, he is actually a nice lad, just no idea of track etiquette! Out of interest, do you have to attend a brief to go on track for something like Japfest? Yes that's the annoying part, everyone had a brief before going on track so he clearly decided not to listen or to ignore. Not making excuses but it was his first time out and probably a bit overwhelming and obviously doesnt have much of a general idea, he is being "advised" so hopefully next time he will be better
