The bigger names if you like (Dunlop, McGuiness etc) pull the bigger sponsors and better bikes. Michael Dunlops BMW (granted its never been there) is a factory bike with 225+ bhp, he pretty much breezed past anyone he came across, not to say he didnt ride superbly but to beat that BMW i think you would have to be on the ragged edge for the full distance, as Ansty was on his last lap.

Never got the whole "racing" on straight roads with traffic, it proves nothing more than who will take the most risk! Get a revolver, put a bullet in, spin the chamber and pull the trigger if you want to take a risk!

Interesting LaF only gets one vote, guess you have to be a die hard fan to want one, would have thought a few more would go for a V12 with a rev limit of 9500rpm!!! I would bet it sounds the best in the flesh

Probably because he feels somewhat fortunate to be in one of the best teams and is enjoying driving a car which is actually capable of being up the sharp end! Does anyone feel there is any truth in the discussions that Ricciardo is driving the car to the best of its abilities (still probably better than his last ride) where as Vettel is expecting it to be better and is so used to the car doing everything he wants his driving has been compromised? Wasnt this the whole discussion at the end of the of last year surrounding just how good Vettel is/was? I know there has been mechanical failures but did anyone expect DR to match if not better Vettel??
