I'll just hop straight into the big league The idea is due to the new clubman class, it's suitable for 'noobs' basically. It's not about the winning straight away for me (Well I'll do my best) but more about doing track time with a purpose.

Genuinely interested and excited. Always wanted to get into it some how, but never knew how. So now I do, the project begins. - Get her back on the road - Get a 2nd car - Get new wheels - Get new suspension - lose all the weight -Roll on 2016

Go away with your Jezza Kay Mobile
-
Yeah I'd be interested in coming along and chatting to a few of the drivers. Also I'll be popping back to you when I get my new engine, will need a new map
-
Yeah I'd love to enter 2015, but in too much of a rush to get Engine/Headers/Clutch basically getting my car back on the road Then need to look at new wheels, suspension etc. So 2016 seems more realistic. I think it would be awesome to be in it. Even if I do crap although I was happy that there is a NA and a FI group separate

http://www.timeattack.co.uk/new-clubman-class-revealed-standard-basic-tuned/#sthash.t81wH0Ta.dpbs So, just wondering if anyone has ever been in TA competition? After the new announcement, think it would be a great place to start. I've always loved track days, always had passion for driving and want to take it further. I'm a competitive person, and track days aren't the place to be competitive, so this looks like it could suit me down to the ground! Just wondering if anyone has had any experience and would like to shed some light. Plan is to build and test through 2015, and enter 2016.

I like stickers
-
Does that mean stickers should ideally form an introduction, abstract and summary to get your approval? what I mean is don't go sticking a massive random sticker in a prime spot. If you want those stickers is get them smaller and put them in rear quarter. But that's just me and as we all say. Not our car it's yours #teamtarmac

I feel like this is the - who is on their high horse thread... #teamtarmac

Glad we cleared up I'm 20 and screaming look at me If you're going to put stickers on... At least have a purpose or theme. #teamtarmac

Another way to get them to look at it is (Because I know this, dads been in the trade his whole life, I've worked for him for several months) So many times would we stay on late or come in early just to get something finished. As Chris says, who defines what a days work is. Even if it was 9-5 and you stayed on till 6/7, you wouldn't then say I want more at the end of the week, you would of been happy with the agreed price. Some people will do anything to worm out of money.

Do you have any proper images of your car? That first one is like looking into a mirror....

Oh yeah That was also on the list, and I forgot to add engine on the list too

Life would be a lot easier.....if I could just go pinch a V8 engine sat at the Zed shed

Wheels - looking for peoples opinions.

I just think it's extra hassle. If it was me selling wheels I'd tell you all to do one and get your own tyres This is probably why I do not sell wheels. -

There is a risk with Tyre packages though, mainly down to when the tyres get fitted and accidental damage happens to the wheel, it then comes out of Tarmacs pocket :/ And as GM says, tyre brands, a lot of fussy people out there, who will want a certain brand, then a certain size and some will want stretch, and not every tyre shop will but stretched tyres on. -
Okay, so I feel sad not being able to update this But just for those that don't know what happened, and that don't know whats coming .... So at the start of September, I went to Trax with some awesome people! Surrounded by awesome cars (Except the stupid KA opposite us) So then came my 1st track session of the day, was enjoyable but not amazing this year...Wasn't the full circuit, too many cars on the track who looked to be there first time ever...along with Drifters going out just before us, which left lots of crap all over the track. Video of my first session ^^ Probably the best lap is the last at around 5:30-6mins. So anyway, all is going well until my 2nd session (Still waiting that video from Matt!) Plain and simple, after about 3/4 laps the engine blew up. Now we haven't inspected yet, but the only reason I can see this happening is Oil Starvation - Cornering too hard and oil just sloshed to one side of the car. Although it shouldn't of due to me doing all my usual checks the day before (Checking levels, topping up fluids etc) But she was well and truly knackered. This is where she got dumped off the track Funnily enough, she got so much attention sat there Then came the Tow truck, scariest thing of my life And then another Tow Truck But I got her home in the end. So what am I going to do next? Well I weighed up all my options, initial thought - V8 Time, but after looking into it, it's just too damn expensive. Too many people seem to think you can just dump a V8 into the car and it's good to go any thing but that simple! I then looked at Forging a doner engine, still that going to set me back about £7/8k and that's not even with a FI. Soooo the plan is to get another DE engine and add a few bits.. Item number 1 - http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/350z_STILLEN_Headers/350Z-350ZSHEAD.aspx Stillen Headers (this brand may change, still researching) Item Number 2 - Stage 2 Comp Clutch Item Number 3 - Lightened Flywheel Figured while the engine is out, may as well upgrade the awkward bits Aim to have this back on the road ready for next season. So before March 2015. Thanks for reading

Hmmm, it's that time, I'm guessing we're due a 'What tyre should I get' thread next. If you have to think about fuel costs before buying the car, the car is not for you. Just FYI I did a 50 mile commute each day in my Zed - With Weekends and events etc costing me £400-£600 a month.

Would over complicate it - How many people know there VIN off the top of their head? The only most common issue is people not understanding offsets. -
Boom, I'm ready to be carried!
