More pics of that please! Though not here as it's way off topic. -
Essential maintenance this time, none of your frivolous modding rubbish New Stoptech pads and Goodridge SS lines all round. I don't know what pad combo the PO was running but I wasn't impressed by the bite or how quickly they started to fade. Much happier today on the spirited ride home. Looking at the good condition of the lines which came off, I suspect the pads have more to do with the performance improvement than anything else. Very pleased. I also took the yolks out of the fried eggs, front and back. i did try LEDs first but they weren't kicking out the light output I was expecting, so they'll do as spares. I also had a SuperPro gearbox mount insert fitted. This last bit has raised a minute buzz in the cockpit, nothing you'd notice with the stereo on, but it has tightened up shifting nicely. Sorry for the generic pic. No pics but some camber bolts fitted up front and a geo, all in all some pleasing maintenance making her feel just that little bit sharper all around.

New wheels look perfect. -
I totally get why they didn't want freeloaders, especially with ad blocking, but all they had to do was ask £2.99 a month and truck loads of uses would have stumped up and they'd have been quids in.

Paul T. 2nd Zed Build thread..... Supercharged- Hulk Buster
Stutopia replied to P15UL T's topic in Member Build Projects
Car looks gorgeous mate, nearly as nice as the garage. Isn't the intercooler a bit exposed down there with no grille in front? -
This was all going rather well, but now atheists are simply captivated by the shiny and not able to engage with concepts because they are old? Thanks, but I'm out, I'll sit with the dullards in the corner playing with something brightly coloured. I can only assume church attendances are through the roof in the UK and the easily distracted won't be needed.

But yellow and gold don't contrast?

Looks mint mate, even hampered with the Toyota badge , cracking wheels.

How easy were they to remove to work on? Also, if you know of a guide, a link would be ace

August looks pretty clear except 12th/13th -
Agreed, an STI would be perfect but they obsess about the carbon/mpg, the whole bloody engine was built to an eco target, not a performance one.

Why stop at V8, throw a charger in too! http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/1680-smudges-gt86-supercharged-v8-build/#comment-23698 Sadly photobucket has bummed this thread to death.

Yes!!!! I found some cheap film, so it'll be easily reversible. That's just my crap photoshop and Matt's already signed off the work. The purple bits are work in progress, it's the only cosmetic/rice mods I'm doing on the BRZ so I don't want to splurge! You know it makes sense. I absolutely love mine. And for the "there's not enough power" discussion, you can do a drive in/drive out turbo for £4.5k all in for an extra 90bhp. Gving you 30 bhp/tonne more than a stock HR.

It all sits lower than I expected, testament to your meticulous work no doubt. I thought it might interfere with the bonnet.

If it turns out I'm wrong, I'd like to think that only a particularly petty deity would hang me out to dry for not actively worshipping. Surely the whole point is your daily deeds? Try not to be a jerk and do your best to be helpful

Just make sure you pick the right one !

I've had the noise hole bunged up for a month or so now, I knew it was only a matter of time before it went. It also makes room for FI things, perhaps, one day. Next up gang. I quite fancy either painting or wrapping my fogs in yellow, to add a splash of colour to the front. As I was trying it out electronically first and I thought what f I did the DRLs too. Answers below, there are no wrong answers expect leave them as they are.

There's been a couple of bits in the engine bay that have been getting in my way when I'm cleaning, taking up room and generally adding weight. So today I added some lightness, and I strated by removing this thing. Everything still runs fine, so I guess it doesn't do anything. It used to live here. Apparently, it pipes induction noise into the cabin to make me feel more sporty. Well, I'm already sporty enough thank you very much, so that lot went. As you can see it got its intake noise from the errr, intake. I was just going to leave a hole in the intake pipe and just run the car like a boss, but in the end I decided to add even more lightness and some purple Samco silicon too. This is what she looks like with belt cover back in place, you can just see the purple end poking out. This was one of those classic 10 minute jobs which took an hour of sweating and knuckle skinning because it's a aftermarket part that is just a few millimetres not the right size in several different directions. Happy enough in the end and another step towards purple goodness.
