Hmmmmm, hard for me to really say TBH, I'm relatively inexperienced and my first and only machine was the Meg's G220 which seemed ok at first (if a bit short on torque and noisy and heavy) until I had that few days working in the detailer's place and I got to try quite a few different offerings from Rupes and Flex (which were in a different league). Given I have a small car and only do this for the pleasure (I don't need a huge pad to save time on an endless line of vehicles) I found the 75E machine was so much more manoeuvrable, controllable, less tiring to use and easier to work into tighter spaces (even though the throw is relatively large, the slightly tapered pads are nice and forgiving if you get too close to things). So far I'm super happy with it, it's a huge upgrade from the G220 as it just doesn't bog down, even when I really leaned in. I've not tried to really mow anything down yet, but that's not in my wheelhouse anyway. The only down side I can see so far is the proprietary pads but, to be honest, having fewer choices to make is not really such a bad thing for a novice like me. It means I've got to learn to make the tool work properly instead of fannying around trying new combos. As I get more experienced, I'd be tempted to add one of it's bigger brothers or probably just man up and go straight to the Flex and take my chances! One of the reasons for picking it was that if I got it wrong, it would still be useful for tight spaces and I could buy something else - but unless I get an SUV, this will be plenty of polisher for me for the foreseeable. For someone like you, I think you'd either need to have a specific need for the smaller tool or just entertain one of the other bigfoots - but really I'd say go Flex and feel the rotary power. I'd love to know what @Ricey uses day to day.

I'm gonna need a link to that short PW gun.

I treated myself to a Rupes LHR 75E Mini not so long along ago, but haven't had the combination of good weather and free time required to do the whole car. Naturally I've been itching to have a play with it, so this seemed like an opportune moment to have a bash. There was no way it was going to make it look any worse!!!

Decent shout that Glen, could be a goopy sort of spill.

Doing a big winter detail and came across this. I had to mess about with the image a bit to show it but it’s a pretty fair reflection of what it looked like. It was on the bottom 3 inches of the passenger door, about half way down. Around 8 inches long, running from front to back. It looked like the residue from a sticker or decal, but I’ve never had one there. It had no discernible different “feel” from the surrounding area, when running my fingers over it (that is to say it felt smooth like the paint). Neither neat APC nor a BH auto clay bar touched it. In the end I broke out the Rupes and shifted it with a yellow pad and fine polish. Anyone seen anything like this before?

This is one that’s an issue with the forum software (rather than us), hoping to get a fix in the next update, can’t promise a fix date yet though - sorry for the pain, I use the view myself and appreciate it’s an irritation not to have. Sorry gang.

Who thinks that’s a “tyre worn down to the metal”? It’s just a wheel.

Usually around £20 delivered, depends on how many are ordered.

Wow! Those little things really shift!

Thanks everyone for the photo submissions, got enough now for 12 cracking months and a cover - really appreciate everyone sending in their shots. Artwork is done now, so please don't submit any further images (there's always 2021). Could do with a few more orders though to drive the price down

A new test for the 20s, alright!

I heard they paid you that to leave Dan

A huge thank you from the club to Gareth (a.k.a. Granville and GMballistic) for many years of Moderation goodness. He's stepping down and going gold. You only need to have a quick look at his post count to know that Gareth has contributed an outstanding amount of time and effort; from simply helping the club tick over day to day, making frequent suggestions as to how to make the place more accessible, helping out Members with answers or info or posting up links, not to mention 1000s of threads moved to their correct locations and much more . A truly outstanding contribution, the like of which a club this size could not survive without. Thanks a bunch mate and please don't be a stranger. The Team

For anyone who hasn't see a club calendar before SuperStu (two)
-
For the uninitiated, the club creates and sells an A3 forum calendar each year. For historic reasons, which I don't understand, the calendar runs Feb to Feb, so we will ship them out late Jan. Price for one is £19.95 shipped. If you purchase more than one, the subsequent ones are £9.95 each If you would like to buy a calendar (or many) please add your name to the list in the post below. Copying over the list from the last person who added their name. If you would like to submit photos of your Zed for consideration, please email them over to admin@350z-uk.com The single most important rule is, please only send high resolution images, in landscape format. The next most important rule is, please only send 3 of your best shots. The chosen photos will be printed out at a decent size; low quality images (however beautifully shot and put together) look **** when printed out at A4 and beyond. If you don't know what I mean by high res, just look at the image size, if each image is less than 500Kb then have a think. Please be discerning, don't send in 23 images, all slightly different variations of the same shot. We try and keep it to one photo per member in the final calendar, so pick your best 3 and send them in. If you have any questions, please post up below and I will do my best to answer them.

Hi @Andy_Muxlow thanks for the tag, I had not seen this thread. In short, it had slipped my mind so thanks for the nudge. I'll post up something shortly.

Not much to say TBH, enjoy the fame.

It doesn't matter what he actually achieves, if he gets something done it'll be down to his Churchillian splendour and if he doesn't it'll be down to the Remaniacst. It doesn't matter that it doesn't stand up to scrutiny, the more rabid the leaver, the less likely they are to care about reality. We're into a whole new paradigm now, where what you say and do today, has no bearing on what you can say and do tomorrow, and no amount evidence can refute that position. Trump has been trialling this way of doing business and it seems the majority of people don't have a problem with it, could be Brexit, could be selling the NHS, could be the new nurses or coppers.
