Sexy unit.

That was brought in to stop the Bay City Rollers from driving to gigs.

Yeah, right - of course you did. Oh, 'Faye' now, is it? I think she's probably just sitting back & gigling a bit. I know I would be, unlike poor old SuperStu, who seems to be suffering from a temporary sense of humour bypass I can't even troll on a trolling thread? Can I troll a troll on a trolling thread or is that to far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well if you're going to troll some more then I'm going to pedant. That should be "too far?"

I just assumed you had a GREEN not purple ended knob...

Suzanne the LS3 6.2 V8! Caution very long build thread....

It'll certainly produce some gains once you get it hooked up to that washing machine -
Looks sweet. I'd love one running off the boot light. Could you use a type of Perspex where the whole Z glows evenly, rather than from each LED? If that makes sense!

Couple of snaps and a super short clip of a run.

Oh ok. Still good result and as you say the fact the drive in your opinion feels better then that's the main thing. Fyi ~ I have 1bhp more than you. Only cos I took my nismo badge off... Where you trying to save weight? Nah, it's not a Nismo so it's not earned the badge
-
I think the year has an impact on if the ECU can cope with one or more maps IIRC

Way ahead of you... The numbers thing is quite funny actually, I got chatting to a couple of friendly lads who'd brought up a Honda from Wales for mapping and the first question one of them asked was 'what numbers are you hoping for?'. I felt a bit embarrassed I didn't know what it was putting out or what was going to come up on the dyno, I just wanted then damn EML to stay off I'm not against chasing numbers, far from it, I can see how someone could get into that, sure I'd like to have seen 300. I'm certain if I went looking for it there'd be a dyno somewhere which would give me that number, but it's more about the before and after butt dyno for me than the sheer numbers. I love the lazy power of the Zed to bits, if it had been 250 instead I'd be just as much in love with her. Just read it in the dyno thread. Is TDi's dyno measured at the hubs do you know? Like Abbey's? If it is then technically you do see over 300bhp but only at the Flywheel. Dunno! Looking at the dyno thread I think it's at the fly from other posts from members who've been to TDI.

Thanks mate, always nice to get some positive comments on your Zed. I think my Zeditis is in the final stages now, I've got one job in the pipeline. After that I might get the paint seen to (picked up a mark on my lip this weekend, don't know how, it wasn't me) or some sort of freaky wrap, but then it'll just be good old fashioned up keep and a move to garage queen status...

I don't want to be the guardian reading old f***er round here! but it's a bit strong having a go at a noob like this isn't? No one bats an eyelid when a male noob links to some other photo sharing platform. The lass can't control what type of comments people put on her introduction thread.

Fond farewell Zedders ! The end of my Zed ownership.

Sad to see the Zed go. Your superguide was the absolute nuts when I did my rev cam, it's like a bible. Thanks! -
Great job on my 350 today by Paul @ TDI, very pleased with both the service and the end result.

Model: 2004 DE Mods: Motordyne plenum spacer, Cosworth panel filter, Berks HFC, Scorpion Catback, h-dev grounding kit, Shell v-power and loads of stickers in the engine bay Dyno: TDI North BHP: 292 BHP Torque: 264 ftlb

Having finally lost my patience with the intermittent EML for the number two O2 sensors on my Berk's HFCs, I emailed Paul at TDI North to see if they could delete them. Paul advises a delete of the number two sensors was possible, but without the existing map from the previous owner's modding, he would have to remap it to deal with the O2 sensors. I knew my Zed had been mapped back in 2012, but since then I have changed the plenum spacer and fitted the Berks, so I figured as well as curing the infuriating EML a new map wouldn't do any harm, and might even round up some of the horses that have escaped from under the bonnet over the years. Having decided to get this sorted, Paul at TDI was able to get me in at quite short notice. Paul and his staff were friendly and helpful, and it's clear from talking to him he knows plenty about mapping, not just the Hondas they see every day, but other marques as well. Despite being a bit nervous about my Zed being tied down and run hard I just about managed to keep it together as Paul did the necessary runs. The remap itself took a few hours and it was not long before I was about seeing how The Shark felt after it's dot release update . The butt dyno revealed a bit more low down torque and I 'm sure the throttle response is a little smoother than it was - not to suggest I wasn't happy with the performance before, but it definitely felt different. Having got back and checked the actual dyno results (see below), it revealed headline figures of 292 bhp and 264 torques. Which is a bump of about 10 torques and 10-15, pretty much across the board. Paul advised me this is mainly due to it running a bit lean since the Berks have gone on, which he's corrected. All in all, I'm extremely happy to have removed the intermittent EML, which was the goal for me, but as a side benefit she feels a bit pokier and I'm fairly certain sounds a little different too. I had a very pleasant drive back from Warrington where I got used to the new feel and can happily report an initial, wallet friendly 33 mpg at non-police upsetting motorway cruising speed. Happy customer, I couldn't fault the service from TDI.

I plumped for a Bosch S4 (£87) recently from Euro Car Parts, seems to work fine, I had some other suggestions when I asked around: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/79906-battery-dead-punishment-for-cheating-on-my-zed-advice-please/ Edit: £20 off them now d'oh! http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2003/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/electrical/car-battery/?444770057&1&74abf2b8ffbb747d626b1423951b60679aa5be26&000020

As above. Mine stopped working when my battery died, as it reverted to factory. The setting in question was the signal from the reverse light, I had to switch to "battery" IIRC, either way, just toggle though the options and keep trying. It should be nice and simple once you find it and takes two ticks to test.

Love to see these updates, think I preferred the straight up intake, totally unique Also the technical use of shreddies boxes continues to be inspirational. They should defo be a sponsor!
