Security is very tight as Russia's president visits Sochi. (I thought this was for Bernie..!!) Unprecedented security at a Grand Prix will accompany Russian president Vladimir Putin's visit to the inaugural race on Sunday. Amid the controversial Ukraine conflict, security is also noticeably high in other areas at the new Sochi Autodrom, including the presence of armed guards and airport-style checks. The German newspaper Bild claims that when Putin is scheduled to visit the building opposite the grandstand, windows will be obscured to thwart any potential assassins. Affect on teams and media F1's regular television broadcasters have been told that when Putin's security personnel scramble radio frequencies to prevent potential bombs being triggered, live video images and microphones will possibly go dead temporarily. The Daily Mail also claims that "radar guarding" against airborne threats could cause television interference, while TV crews have been told not to film Putin or the visiting king of Bahrain too closely. F1 teams' and FIA's radio systems will be affected by the anti-bomb frequency scramble, which could last up to 15 minutes. And Bild said that security will be so tight when Putin is on the grid that regular 'grid walking' broadcasters may be unable to complete their normal duties.

Actually the weather looks s*it for Wed at Brands, on and off rain all day, but lets see hope it changes. I don't really mind the wet, did Rallycross for a few years so don't mind sliding around.

They are out there...!! Fri evening on the M25 car drove up the outside of the queues for the Dartford Crossing then "bullied " his way into the queue almost at the crossing, we had been in the queue for about 20 mins and this pr*t just drives up the outside and gets through.. :rant:

Did 10 hours to Antigua with Monarch..!! I will definitely pay the extra £300 per person to BA next time. 10 hours of been a sardine in a tin, with a screaming kid behind me kicking my seat.

I went to Malta with them last year "no problems" got there on time got back on time and landed at the right airport and cheap enough.
