  1. It's a simple job to do. shouldn't cost a great deal to do or take long at all. I have the prop off my Z surplus to requirements if you're looking for one
  2. Welcome along to the club man, glad the norfolk crew is growing too

    my NANKANG's

I got the same comments as above. Tested some Nankang NS2's 285 35 R18 drifting last weekend and they were a definite step backwards from the 275 45 18 Nankang AS-1's or achillies in the same size. Profile in this instance was definitely to blame.
  4. Hi All, I am looking for a set of extended studs for my Z and came across these from Conceptua tuning www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Z33-350Z-03-Longer-Rear-Wheel-Studs-65mm-x10-Conceptua-/150539876558 Any one used them? Are they any good? I am a little concerned as there isn't any reference to tensile strength, etc. and with me taking my wheels off and torquing them up very frequently they have to be good. Any thoughts or suggestions would be useful Cheers
  5. Very nice work. Brings back memories of building mine, apart from yours is travelling along a lot faster haha. Will be watching closely to see what ideas I can steal to improve mine
  6. Looking forward to seeing this one unfold
  7. Interested to see this one unfold and your comments on the fitment of the parts. Will be watching
  8. Yes lads I will be at the Norfolk weekender. Tough though as there is another event that weekend too This one is the first of a few events in July. Think it's going to be a busy year
  9. haha Sorry Lexx, you might get a chance to hop in the passenger seat sometime
  10. Hey Hey I'm back!!! The car is already being worked on for 2015 and the first practice of this year is booked in at Teesside for 2nd Feb. No signs of a supercharger yet cos I am still trying to get the grip up more in the short term we might put a NOS system on when power becomes an issue. Further engine mods will happen later. More lock mods and suspension mods are going on at the moment. Tarmac has just supplied me a full set of Whiteline polybushes to replaces the rubbish ones I had in there before. Also I've got a new front end to put on the car to replace the bent front wings I had last year. Just need to get them painted and wrapped. Pics and stuff will follow shortly When's Buxton and what's happening there? Isn't that the stock car ring? The year for me is booking up quickly with shows, championship rounds and practices. i will share the calendar soon but if you have any suggestions, etc .feel free to post them up here Cheers guys
  11. As above, you will need to provide some clamping load on the plate to get it to seat. If you are concerned get some longer bolts which are the correct diameter, to limit the chance of misalignment, to line up the holes in both sides. You don't necessarily need to put nuts on them just use them as alignment pins. The more you have the less likely it will be to move out of shape
  12. Arr this takes me back coming on nicely guys. Like your bleed nipple idea for the clutch. I went down a slightly different route and banjo'd straight onto the slave. Makes bleeding it soooo much easier Keep it up
  13. Haha cheers man. A lot more will be happening this year I'm even practicing on new years eve lol. I'll make sure I post up where and when I'll be doing stuff and will get the car to some meets hopefully
  14. Not everyone's got your skill for the art of drifting bizz. But yeah, not nice to see. I need to get practicing or that'll be a blue and purple Z in the next vid.
  15. Never nice to see that one
  16. Yeah too right!! I was a bit sad when I realised I needed to do it. Glad i have got away from it now. The weight loss seems ok but I couldn't find a straight answer for how heavy a standard z actually is. Every website I went on said something different as usual lol
  17. No sand in there now When I weighed it last time on the farm it was still about 1200kg with a full tank and weighted slightly more towards the front end by 40kg so that'll go up when my fat arse gets in too.
  18. Both me and Chris have had family complications so we've delayed. I've only just managed to get my daily runner to also allow the Zed to come off the road. We are having a pre-meeting in Dec to ensure all bases are covered for the start in Jan. which will give us 4 months to complete. Will need to hook you up as the full Sikky kit can't be purchased, admits geared for LHD. The mounting, prop etc are fine. Ill have to custom fab headers and one other thing. I'm about to purchase this so might drop you a line in the next few weeks about the custom bits. Yeah the Weds aren't far similar, although I've gone a bit further with this design and they're currently being made in the US, delivery some time in December/January. Sounds sweet, yeah drop me a line dude I'll help where I can We might have to get Skype or something going to help looking forward to getting yours done too, two cars similar under the bonnet but completely different otherwise
  19. 1 word for them........................ SEXY Where are these rims from?? They look remarkably like my Cosmis wheels. Yummy
  20. Hey man been a while since I've been on.... haven't you got it in yet????? :-P You're going to need those brakes looking forward to seeing more man
  21. Hey everyone, Latest updates, not a massive set of pics to go with but hopefully it will be the beginning of the next installment. As you may have seen from some of the previous comments I have had some issues with steering geometry and rear end grip. I tried things like different geometry settings and chucking 50kg of sand in the back as I think I took too much weight out. Anyways last Monday I think we had a break through With the steering mods I made for the Snetterton track day I now have full lock without instant spin capability and I have now fitted some lovely soft springs to the rear of the car making it so it can really bite into the tarmac Check out the difference Now instead of the car skipping across the tarmac like a brick on ice, it squats and launches like it should Couldn't really believe the difference it made, good thing is now WE HAVE SMOKE!!!! https://flic.kr/p/pZMNed (if anyone can link this so it isn't a thumbnail that would be great haha) The wheel is now starting to disappear up into the arch nicely I have a couple of vids to upload but I can't do them at work Now it's time for some more little tweaks and a proper alignment again instead of my homemade kit haha and hopefully we'll really start to unlock it's potential. Hope you like the progress
  22. Hey mr Dedman, I don't think it was your car that was the problem that day at Lydden it might have been the fact it was more of a lake than a race track There is nothing on the standard car which will directly change Ackermann but you can adjust the toe on the front which will help slightly. I changed mine with the MAX kit and some slight mods of my own. Got it wrong but now it seems to be working well Hi, sorry for the slow reply, Cheers dude Keep an eye out on the Teesside drifting page on FB or driftworks etc. and get yourself down to the next one which should be New Years Eve. You can definitely still compete with standard lock but with the aggression and speeds they want you to get to having the extra lock helps a lot!! Wisefab have just brought out a kit for the Z which I think is many ££££'s but that will give full cheat lock For practicing and most events standard lock, maybe with a little change in toe, as mentioned above in Matt's comment, the z would be sweet Hope you enjoyed the thread

  24. Hi Alex They sound great but i don't think carbon ones would last long on my car plus i need to roll them a bit too get it so the wheels don't catch on lock :-( Think I'll have to stick to the metal ones for now. Any of those in stock? Cheers
  25. Hi All, I'm after a pair of front wings in Good Condition to replace the two battered ones on my Z. Not worried about colour Please let me know what you have and price. Cheers Bizz
