  1. it's getting better but there is still room for improvement I will keep you in mind man when it comes round to getting rid of it
  2. Hey Hey Everyone It's been a long time, sorry. As I mentioned in my post above ^^^ I have been all over the place recently with trips away for work, Nurburgring a couple of weeks ago with the missus and some mates (not with the Z...... this time) etc etc etc I went down to Snetterton with the Z about a month ago to get some more testing in and things are starting to look up. Following my very difficult day at Silverstone for BDC I found my issue with the steering. I have got the ackermann angle set at 0deg and found the car had toe in which gradually got worse so that means that it was always destined to fail lol. So I spent a few hours in the shed in Norfolk fixed that and now we can start to put on good angle without spinning out all the time. Then tried putting 50kg of ballast in which also helped get the back end to bite in as I think I may have got a bit too much weight out of the rear of the car. As a result I have now bought some 6kg springs so almost halving the spring rate in the rear to get it to squat properly and get the most from my tyres Sorry for the lack of pics at the moment but I will get things back on track soon, (off to Sweden for work next week) and will have a testing day at Teesside in Nov if anyone wants to pop along and say hi Hope to hear from you all again soon
  3. Hey thanks I bet you're wrecked after reading all that lol Yeah sure thing. The sikky kit is ok for a road car as it goes straight in but I found the engine sits too far forward and too high. I got mine pretty low and further back Cheers wow small world yeah that's me. He used to be my boss. I need to update this more often with everything been really busy with everything else recently so this and my FB page has been left

  7. Hi Everyone, I hope you are well, I'm back had a couple of weekends off for a stag do and spend time with the missus but it is time to crack on with the car again Firstly here are a few dates for your calendar 9th 10th Aug BDC Lydden Hill 17th Aug Japfest Show with the other Tarmac Sportz cars 7th Sept TRAX at Silverstone. I will be doing the BDC round there and the other Tarmac Sportz cars will be in the show I hope to see a few of you at these places, make sure you come along, say hello, have a look around the car, etc., etc. Currently I'm getting the car ready to meet BDC regs with a few little extras, like tow straps, aerocatches on the bonnet, emergency pull cords for battery cutoff and fire extinguisher. Nothing major but it all takes time. Here's a little taster Please share these dates around and hope to see you soon Bizz
  8. You'd better see a doctor about that lol good lad get something sorted
  9. There's nothing official up on here but I will post on this thread what events I am doing and when with as much notice as possible. This year's a little up in the air as I wasn't sure how the car was going to perform off the bat so didn't want to commit to too much. We will be all over next year If you become aware of a drift day/demo near you feel free to post it up here and I'll see if I can make it
  10. Cheers bud, ha some of Eddie's comments might have been a bit limited but the judging and commentary was probably the best I have witnessed. great, chilled out event. Would recommend it to any people wanting to watch drifting or if it's their first drift event as there's more fun and action compared to some of the other series out there Yeah dude, clive was in the little AE86 we had a few good runs out in practice didn't battle him though. There will be some developments and tweaks being made to the car over the next few weeks whilst I have a little spare time. Get yourself along to something man. I will keep posting up here what events I am doing and when with as much notice as possible
  11. Thanks Vlad, yeah some serious hours have gone into this machine so it's nice to finally be able to play with it. More bits and pieces to come along though soon Sorry Graham. 13. my Zed heard the news and know wont come out the garage for being inferior lol you guys are mental thanks for the very kind words. Matt I think the tyres I'm using are a bit old or something they don't smoke up much at the moment but I will most definitely fix that! Not a chance Stevo the Z's were having a great time together at Norfolk. Need all three out next time. Then we can do some donuts around Chris' very smart GT86
