  1. haha glad you like bud, hope it's going to do some cool effects with the smoke at speed
  2. Seeing as the LSZ is having its paint done, I thought I would crack on with getting the wing in the right place so I can take the boot along to the paint shop with the holes drilled to stem any rusting that might happen We will be taking the car off the spit, tomorrow now that the underside is done ready for the big work to begin pics to follow

  4. The Tarmac/ZL team will show you some bigger and gayer wings than that lol
  5. Right... where's my pic of dedman's car gone I will figure it out!! Ha I feel exactly the same about my wheels but just shows that other people do have good taste too lol

    Snapped calliper bolt

Yep try that first. Once it's off you'll be able to do a much better job also you could put loads of wd40 or petrol in the hole and leave it to stand over night so it can help free the bolt off.
  7. arrr i hate games like this lol I've had several boxes like from Mr Tarmac so it's a difficult thing to guess Looking forward to seeing your wheels too man
  8. I'm gutted too man could use your help I don't think you'll be disappointed dude, He did a great job on the skyline last time and he has worked on countless cars of mine and my mates from work and they have always come out great. He'll probably be up with us at Nissan so you should pop by have a look and have a chat with him He has really got his work cut out with mine. I don't envy him in the slightest haha The underside primer should be on now and base coat tomorrow
  9. Now show us what you got man
  10. Everything that guy does is legendary!!
  11. Today at work mate I could have sworn that I hadn't spelt a wink the entire weekend lol *slept* You really are knackered aren't you bizz?!. Keep up the good work. Ha yeah I'm wrecked, still recovering now It's an aerokit rear bumper man, cannot remember the name sorry
  12. Today at work mate I could have sworn that I hadn't spelt a wink the entire weekend lol
  13. I got mine today too Thank you all for the epic support!!! Can't wait to meet you all Keep spreading the word and check out the build thread for more updates Thanks again
  14. Well what a mental 4 days it has been. I am exhausted! sorry for the lack of pics but I just haven't had a minute to pick up the camera so I'll just bore you all with a list of the work.... So you saw the pics of the cage clean, the skirts on and the front bumper in place... On Sunday Jason from Clark Customs came up again to help with some fab work so he built the final part of the exhaust system which is the mounting system for the rear cans Then welded an extra bar in the cage for my harnesses and finally set to work on the box to cover exhausts in the car. Unfortunately we didn't get that finished cos I ended up taking him to A&E cos of this... Not an impact or bite just came up over a couple of hours, luckily nothing serious. How dare his elbow slow work on the LSZ haha (he's all better now) Whilst Jason was busy I got to work on the front bumper which now has two air inlet ports/nostrils. Also mounted the aero catches to hold the bumper on. That took longer than I thought to make sure they were at the same angle, in the same place etc. pretty hard without any straight lines on the bumper haha I reinforced the handbrake mount as the tunnel was flexing too much when I pulled on it. I'm making sure the handbrake is properly solid in this car after I pulled the handle clean our the floor with the Driftworks one At this point I think it was time for the hospital lol So Monday.... Had my mate Ant come round to start the massive tear down, so engine, transmission came out. Cooler pack out, steering rack off, powersteering pump off too. I then carried on with fab work so boxed off some bits of the chassis, made the harness bolt in points in the tunnel, finished welding the front bumper bar, modified the standard alu rear bar to fit around the exhausts and had a coffee. You keeping up??? After the coffee Jack came over to help me take off the rear subframe and removed the very fuel tank. We removed the diff, driveshafts and brakes first to make it a bit lighter but with the solid alu bushes it isn't very easy to get off the car. Ok I think that brings us up to 10pm on Monday night. Now on to today... Ant and I came home from work at lunch for a few minutes to throw the engine crane, spit, bumpers, lights and all the other little bits of car ready to take to the body shop. At 3.30 I got home pulled the car on the trailer and set off for So:Nu paint in Middlesborough and here she is It is now back to a completely bare shell After a couple of hours the subframes and suspension were off and the LSZ was back on the spit Work will start on it tomorrow. Everything will be focused on the underside for now hopefully to be back on its wheels by the end of the week so the rest can be done You're all up to date lol well done if you got this far
  15. Thanks all for the kind comments Happy to not disappoint! I think there's a chance of that. My original idea was to get a JDM number plate hole but this is what I got. I'll leave that up to the bodyshop boys Watch this space
  16. Been back at it hard this week so... Started making the front bumper bar Here it is in the bumper, just needs the aerocatches fitting and a couple of braces and it'll be good to go. More importantly it'll be quick removal so it can go on to the trailer easier On Thursday and Friday night had a few guys from work pop round to help start prepping the cage and interior Saturday morning saw the start of the kit going on Skirts first, a little bit more work needed at the front end but they'll bolted on and tight so hopefully they'll put up with some punishment At this point it was down on its wheels so thought I would take a quick pic of the front end. Not sure if that's coolant on the left of the bumper or a tear from its eye that the LSZ is nearly done Think it looks nice Then on to the rear so had to mod the standard bar a little to accommodate the exhausts My other workshop helper, Riley, popped by to check out the progress Then the boot came out and is time to lose some weight (sorry it's a bit blurry) took out the wiring, the silly boot weight thing and the wiper motor. Next will be to cut out the inner skin Before I left last night I rested the wing on the boot. Think it looks right at home on there Thanks to Chris at Tarmac for the body kit and wing, it fits great and looks amazing
  17. Haha true, I was hoping to put more time into the body work this year but unfortunately time has not been on my side. I will keep you all posted don't you worry Might ask the forum guys to update their calendars with any drift events I am aware of or just start a thread on the motorsport bit with dates, then everyone can drop in practice days and events that they are aware of too Ok man I'll buzz you something across later Cheers
  18. Just wait...... Hey man, sorry you can't make it across. The missus is out getting the biscuits, tea and coffee in ready for tonight Bring the little ones haha. Cool I'll need the logos soon man, paint is next week (hopefully) and Lee and Cal are sorting the vinyls for soon after that. I'll do some measuring up tonight if you like and give you the dimensions? is that cool?
  19. Thanks guys really happy I'm still getting positive responses about the car. Getting really close now but there is still just so much to do Got a few guys from work coming around on tomorrow night to help rub the entire car down for painting next week so got to finish the bumper bar and get the seat rails in tonight so they can prep all of that. More support is coming over the weekend to help with the final push as the whole engine and drivetrain has to come out so it can be put on the rotisserie in the paint shop Don't think I'm going to be getting much sleep this weekend lol I'll get some more pics up soon
  20. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Nismo V3 looking sweet thanks to Tarmac Sportz!! It'll be in its permanent resting place tomorrow night
  21. Cheers all, I'm glad you haven't got bored yet haha I have considered it maybe that'll be something to aim for next year I'll have to keep all the pics of their boxes and see what they say. Would be a funny give-away at the track Thanks man I'm happy you're enjoying it. A lot more updates are coming soon What happened?????
  22. Hey all, Sorry for the delay in updates yet again. The build is pushing on and time is quickly running out. Just a few updates first.... The car has been running and actually made it to the dyno!!! but unfortunately my luck didn't last long with the prop that I had made was so far out of being true it shook the car and I'm surprised it didn't wreck the box!! I've got my money back from that and it's ready to send off to Dr. Prop in Cumbria who will hopefully cure that issue. This is what she looked like at the point of excitement lol It did get run up a couple of times whilst we found the source of the issue and it sounded awesome The day which it all has to come together for the final Dyno attempt is my birthday, 19th May. It had better be a good birthday present haha Anyways before all that I had been working away doing a lot of small jobs which needed doing ready for the paint job which is to come very soon The shreddies box is out again this time to make a cover for the transmission thermostat Bulkhead fitting for the transmission lines A couple of nights disappeared making driveshaft spacers as the GTR diff is quite a bit narrower than the standard diff Sorry that's the only pic I have at moment the one I took of them fitted is really blurry Exit point for the fuel lines out of the floor pan (it'll be neatened up soon) Getting clipped into place Dash buttons are in for on the fly control. Another couple of nights were used up calibrating the sensors which are attached to the dash unit. I'm very impressed with the capability of the unit with it's warnings, lights, clarity etc. and would definitely recommend it. The only things is that it's a little slow to setup but the more I use it the faster I'm getting Oh look.... lights glad to be at the stage where body work parts are finally going on, thanks to Cal for these A little scruffy but the wings are on for test fitment, little imperfections will soon disappear at the body shop Today's work was to sort out the final position of the air intake, just so you don't get worried that it's going to stick out of the bonnet like in the previous pics haha We've made to plates underneath and beside to ensure as much air from the front is delivered the filter and as much engine bay heat is deflected. That pretty much brings you all up to date. I will promise to do a better job this week of posting more and will have plenty of vids up on the 19th when we finally get this motor up to speed and singing. Thanks everyone and look forward to your comments. P.s. For those of you that bought a "Support Bizz" T-shirt , THANK YOU so much I appreciate all of the support you guys are giving me!!! Keep spreading the word
