  1. Welcome along, I'm sure you'll be pleased with her. Great way to do a first post!
  2. Great to see the donations kept coming in. To add to the echoes of thanks...Tracy and I had a great time again and see it as a fixed point in the diary. I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend with friends new and old. Can't wait for the next event, I need another reason to get the tent out instead of once per year.
  3. Does it still have this optional extra?
  4. So the exhaust was popped on today ready for lakez It is a little quieter now, and is defo quieter than what I was used to but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. My old unit had hoes in the top, the bottom and the right hand tailpipe could be removed from the box by a 5 year old. Typically the tarnished areas I worked on are covered up by the bumper What I will be doing to the exhaust though, will be to cut off the existing tailpipes and weld my old units back onto it. I prefer the look of them and they are absolutely fine and have been cut off the now scrap unit. onto the ever growing list it goes... Then gave it a clean ready for lakez, why is it that car parks always make a car look better?
  5. It looks more like a gimp mask for the car!
  6. Just booked a table for 2....all romantic setup, just me, the wife and 120 car nuts. Car is packed and ready to go, see you all tomorrow.
  7. I like it, very clever use of existing resources.
  8. My ocd about symmetry will probably kick in so I think you are right. Also I think there is a risk that the spoiler will look stuck on if it is a different colour and I do want it to look like part of the bodykit. I'm not keen on the angle of the nismo spoiler from the side which is why I didn't match one to the nismo kit. On the plus side I get to sell the badges and return a miniscule amount compared to the cost of the works!
  9. ding ding ding, we have a winner. It will look good once it is prepped and sprayed. Can't decide whether to spray it gloss black like the roof will be or colour code and stick azure....decisions decisions. Also I need to decide how much I'm going to de-badge. The rear Nissan will be going and represents the last Nissan badge left on the car, it is a question of if I take off the 350z emblem....not sure yet
  10. Goodies time... Firstly my Powerflow exhaust decided to split the back box open post Wales, and it has been causing distress to me, my neighbours and all of the cats in a 5 mile radius. So yesterday the postie bought carefully wrapped exhaust bits for me. Thanks to Grundy000 who had this unwanted exhaust. This will tide me over for Lakez at least. It is being fitted as I type this so should hear how it compares to the Powerflow later today but I'm guessing it will be a bit closer to stock than what I'm used to. I started to polish it in the garden but got bored, I have removed a lot of the tarnish but it is a right ball ache by hand. This is pre polish, I didn't bother after photos as it got dark Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Yes, I know my slabs need re-laying but they are due to be ripped up to go under the benches in the background! Then onto my next item....lets all play a game of guess the spoiler, 5 Scott Mills points to the first to get it right. I have balanced it on top of the car to see what it will look like when I have it fitted. This will be at the same time I put the spats and respray the rear of the car. I'm 90% certain I will remove the stock spoiler when I do it, I think it will look cleaner
  11. They are alive!!!! I have three new items coming in, one boring, one mechanical replacement and one more interesting for the rear before to do at the same time I add the spats and respray the rear I think the only thing I have left to do before lakez is to give her a clean and get my replacement rear tyres on as I think they are now marginal considering the amount of miles this weekend will bring
  12. the fact that they had to highlight it in picture 2 shows how pointless it is! Although it does show an interesting place for decals to start from if you were decorating the car
  13. StevoD runs a dragster!
  14. So too lazy to go to the car park, and too idle to use search??????
  15. 350z plus an assault rifle vs a Skoda Octavia with a flashing light. I know which side I'd rather be on. Needs spacers and skirts before I went on a rampage though.
  16. Fantastic change over already, I enjoyed following this car in wales, and I really like the new front end, with the carbon in there you get a tusk/fang down the sides that looks superb. Looking forward to seeing where you take it from here. As for colour, I think you should go for a purple! That way you complete the set of secondary colours.
  17. All I would say is get it treated sooner than later, when I look at pictures of when I first had the car to now the difference is substantial.
  18. Nope I had the nismo bumper and skirts sprayed from primer and then a blend across the bonnet and the front wings. So it was almost like the entire front of the car had been resprayed as my bonnet was pretty much treated to a rub down and respray as my stonechips vanished entirely. Andy at parkside autos did a steller job which is why I will be taking it to him (unfortunately after lakez) for the rear rust on my arches to be dealt with and respray the rear and add the spats, oh and spray the roof gloss black. Now that my ankle is better I can actually start to get things in order. In other news I have finally got round to ordering my connectors for the lights so they should be on for lakez. Yay!
  19. I bought mine from ebay after seeing it in Toothy's thread here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/85818-new-gearstick-gaiter-and-handbrake-cover-with-pics/ They do many other colours on the stitching, not sure about the body
  20. So more goodies courtesy of mattross1313 Firstly the neo chrome oil cap and now comes a decision, badge on or badge off as it isn't stuck down yet. Cap off: gearknob and oil cap by p_h_7, on Flickr Cap on: gearknob and oil cap by p_h_7, on Flickr Currently leaning towards on...but not certain. Might give it a week without. Secondly Mattross used his impressive salesman skills to up sell a matching gearknob....well done that man. gearknob and oil cap by p_h_7, on Flickr gearknob and oil cap by p_h_7, on Flickr Got to say I love the feel of this knob in my hand (insert fnur fnur, chortles and giggles appropriately) The danger of all of this is that I have now started something under the bonnet. I may actually have to suit up and clean under there. Mopedmark, do you have a spare hazmat?
  21. Ah, didn't see the face lift requirement. Sorry no, they are pre face lift.
  22. If you are looking for a blue front bumper, then I'm your man. I have 2 OEM front bumpers that you can take your pick from.
