  1. Just pondering something that my friends and I were discussing down at the yard this lunchtime We're all women and we couldn't reach a consensus of opinion so I thought I'd seek male opinions if anyone wants to enlighten me from a male perspective?

    Squeaky brakes

Please don't laugh at my stupid questions because I freely admit to knowing nothing at all about cars but my brakes started to squeak after I came back from my last track day and I am now wondering if I need to do something? I had new pads fitted recently and have been on one track day since then but not driven the car much otherwise as it is my 'fun car' and not driven daily.
  3. BBK, you are so unexpected sometimes Not grammatical I know but it conveys what I am trying to say I think
  4. Thank you - will start practising my nodding and winking techniques for next year
  5. Thanks Will. Didn't like to ask

    G37 review

Well not a proper review because LR4FAN has already done so quite beautifully I had my test drive this afternoon and, dear reader, I was underwhelmed Nice looking car from the outside and the centre console and upholstery all looked the part too. On the downside though there was a lot of plastic in the cockpit which I didn't like, the seat hurt my back after 30 mins driving and I just didn't feel excited by the whole experience so it's not the car for me. Going to find a garage with a 370Z in the next few weeks and see what I think
  7. Graham, that's a lovely, er, whatever it is Can you tell I'm training to be a mechanic? I've no idea if it is even a car part. Could be something to hold your shelves up?
  8. I know nothing about cars whatsoever but exactly the same thing happened to my car after my first track session (also used Colin at CAT driver training) and I asked Nissan to replace the master and slave cylinders, following advice on the forum. Cured the problem for me
  9. 'nuff said flexib I was going to go up to the garage straight after exercising my horse but maybe they won't appreciate the 'eau de horse wee' fragrance?
  10. bronzee, I think they've been in the UK since about 2010? Seen them in the States but never really thought much about them until I saw one close up and then curiosity got too much. Have just booked an hour's test drive in one tomorrow - yay - wonder if I'll like it or if it will be too sophisticated for a simple country girl like me?
  11. LRF4N, I will have a look for your review. Thanks Don't normally come into this bit of the forum so not seen it yet. I know what you mean about it being 'a bit grown up and refined' but, until I get behind the wheel, I guess I won't know how it makes me feel. Hope they take me seriously when I ring for a test drive. The local Nissan dealer patronised me to death when I asked for a drive in the 370 so I now boycott the place
  12. I've got a Roadster at the moment (pretty obviously from my avatar ) but I preferred the look of the coupe, which surprised me a bit really. I am going to ring up tomorrow and ask for a test drive on Saturday if possible. Have warned Mr Two Bears and he's looking anxious now
  13. Has anyone driven one? I saw one at an agricultural show on Wednesday and it seemed to beckon to me across the field Am wondering if I dare book a cheeky test drive or would that just be too naughty given the current state of the Two Bears joint bank balance? I could never abandon Mr Zedders, particularly when he's been so good lately on the track for me but the Infiniti does look pretty
  14. Is it Two Bears? Definitely not! I'd never wear that top with those shorts
  15. Haydn, so Andy tells a woman she's old then invites her to watch a film, on her own in Yorkshire, whilst he remains happily in Wales Is it just me or does his chat up technique need some work?
  16. Ok, it'd better be good. RomCom is it?
  17. Very funny you two I've never heard of Deathrace 2000 I'll have you know. Before my time obviously .................
  18. I am certainly 'of an age' and thanks for pointing it out by the way but I don't have a clue what it means. Go on, enlighten me old chap!
  19. You know I don't post pics unless I'm safely behind the windscreen of Mr Zedders and all but invisible Dblock, I've never actually liked fake tans myself before because they always seem to be to orangey but, if I can get a really natural look then I'm happy to give it a go
  20. That's really useful - thanks I'd done some research and thought that was a good product. There's a salon in Market Weighton where I can get that done.
  21. atkin, can you ask Zoe where I should go please? I live about 5 miles from Howden. I've rung both the local salons but one does Fake Bake which my friends say is quite dark and heavy so that's ruled out and the other one doesn't actually spray the tanning solution on so I don't fancy that either. Thanks, Annie
