  1. Been along that road many times and it has always felt a bit 'dangerous'. There's a lot of subsidence along there and the road is narrow.
  2. Thanks so much everyone for all the tips Will try putting pictures on an angle to photograph them this morning as that sounds really sensible. I'd just been hanging them on the wall and standing square on to them. Pics are too big to fit in scanner Squee but going to try that for the small glass photo prints that I do as I am intrigued as to the result
  3. Wow, just looked at some of the newer pics and there are some superb ones. Love the lavender field and the shiny silver orb but there are many others that are equally great.
  4. Right, I think I've got it sorted so thanks to everyone for the advice I'm going to get a polarising filter for my DSLR and I have unearthed a sort of small white pop-up tent in one of my many sheds that I think is actually designed to diffuse light when photographing objects close-up Hugh, I have got non-reflective glass in one of the frames but not sure if I like it as it is a bit dull and matte looking. Interesting article though and, being a geek (allegedly) I had to read all of it
  5. Thanks everyone. I'll be back when I've read all the info contained in the links. I may be gone some time ...
  6. That won't work I'm afraid as I photographed them out of the frame as soon as I'd made them i.e. before they were framed I need photos of them in the frames as well or customers won't know what they look like framed!
  7. I am trying to photograph some pictures I've made in order to put them on my website, but I can't get any good shots because of reflections on the glass of the picture frames. Some have come out better than others but even the very best ones have a reflection of me in the glass. It's driving me mad but I simply can't figure out how to do it properly I know there are some good photographers on here so can anyone advise me if there are any techniques to improve the quality of my images please?
  8. Someone once turned up at the stables in a black Range Rover with RAW 3EX (or something that looked like that, it was a while back) and how we ladies laughed when a fat, middle-aged man who believe me was no looker, clambered out
  9. "You're welcome mum!" Nice to know I brought you up to be a lovely son and very helpful I'll have to see about that one
  10. Just tell them this is what horse power looks like Thanks for the photos BBK, Ianhampton and elfman. Off to my workshop to start printing now
  11. Does that one smell quite nice Vik? The one I bought recently smells like burning rubber so I don't want to use it because it gives me a headache after a few minutes
  12. Sorry, should perhaps have explained better I want to sublimate the images onto mugs/mousemats/metal wall plaques etc so that I can show car clubs the products that I can provide. I do the same for the equestrian market but car clubs prefer to see cars on their products rather than dobbins
  13. That is really sad and very close to where members of my family live
  14. Bumping this thread as I still need some more photos if anyone would please be so kind? Ideally I want to make up some samples tomorrow morning. If you PM me I will give you my e mail address if that is easier. Thank you
  15. It is very tiny compared to the proper Range Rovers but it is quite nice inside. I prefer the Freelander's size but the interior isn't as nice. It would be good to have the exterior of one and the interior of the other.
  16. Mr Two Bears is looking for his next car but we can't decide between the Evoque (he's got one currently and likes it a lot) or the Freelander 2 which we have both had in every variety including a commercial in the past few years, and also liked a lot. They both have pros and cons and neither of us can make a decision despite visiting the dealership for the past two weekends Has anyone got any words of wisdom before we toss a coin? Although will be Mr Two Bear's car (and he's insisting on an automatic, which I hate) I will end up driving it a lot because he's going abroad to work at the end of the year and won't be in the UK much, so I need to like the car too. We're not fighting over it but genuinely can't decide which to choose, the larger, more expensive (tax-wise) one or the smaller, better on the tax front, one. I think size matters so am inclining towards the Freelander but the interior finish isn't as nice as the Evoque. We have to order it in the next few weeks and I don't know how to come to the right decision
  17. Ha ha, I did say I knew nothing about Mazdas but that obviously extends to Zeds as well Yes, 350s or 370s, both would be brilliant
  18. It is in water isn't it? I wasn't sure if it was an aquarium or vivarium? Does it live on the bottom all the time? It is the sort of pet I would like to watch but not stroke, obviously
  19. Is the 50 a truck?? I know nothing about Mazdas but I've been asked by a Rotary Club to make them some samples so if it fits the bill I am open to suggestions
  20. Um, I'm not sure how cute that actually is, it looks kinda "unfinished", but it's good that we all love our various pets
  21. ... that they are willing to e mail to me so that I can use them to make samples to show potential customers? Any photos of RX-8s would be good too if anyone has one? I am looking for good quality shots, professional ones would be great but any digital image is fine providing it shows the car in a good light so that rules out shots taken on your driveway (unless you live on a stunning country estate ) as I don't want other cars or houses in the pictures. I only need one or two so if everyone rushes to send their car's best side please don't be offended if I can't use the image Please PM me for my e mail address if you want to send a photo of your car. Thanks
  22. Aw, Buttons is cute I would post photos of my gang but I'd be here all day as I've got too many pets for a normal person
  23. Thanks SuperStu, the Amazon eh? I am shopping on Amazon for a book later today so will make sure to dab some of Ray Mears' preferred insect repellent behind both ears before logging on Seriously, if the Smidge doesn't work I will order some Ultrathon One further question, why does Ray Mears look so chubby if he lives off insects and bits of bark? Surely he should be really thin? He must take Mars bars or something for snacks between meals?
