  1. If you do use a comparrison site and you select that it is an import, when continuing through to the brokers own site via the purchase option on the comparrison site, make sure that the import option is still selected and/or it is not stated in the assumptions of the broker that it is not an import. When 'mapping' data input on a comparrison site into the broker's site, details such as these can be lost or disregarded.
  2. Another one my mate had - that I didn't
  3. +1 Everything Will said. Sky insured my Zed this year when no one else would touch it because of the number if mods. Then, when I recently bought a 2nd car they were able to apply some of my NCB to the premium, which no other broker would do.
  4. This is still played by the yoof of today. Unfortunately they use real cars. But it also happens to keep Jamie Theakston in employment as a narrator....
  5. 'Almost' Worcestershire is good enough for me! And before anyone else says it (of the car obviously......)
  6. Shoulda fitted a stubby....

    2010 Audi S6. Hmmmm

All very valid points mate. As I couldn't really share my disappointment with the Audi's owner, I just had to have a grumble on here Yeah, I'm sure the 'theatrical' pedal would change my views. Still don't want one though.
  9. If she gets a bluetooth HU then she'll effectively have a multichanger in her pocket (or handbag) as she could stream music from her phone. Oh, hold on, that's assuming she's got a smart phone. Most smartphones are touchscreen. Ah... Maybe she hasn't got a smartphone.
  10. OK, so a colleague of mine purchased a 10 plate Audi S6 a couple of weeks ago. Cost him £30k Day one of ownership and the EML light came on. Called dealer (Audi) who came out to his home, plugged laptop in and said we'd have to take it away. Fast forward to today, he now has the car back (after over a week) with a new set of 6 coilpacks and has come to work in it. Sooooo, a few of us 'petrol heads/car fanatics' were looking forward to going to have a look around it at lunchtime. Now, if you're an Audi fan, have bought an S6 or would like one, I'd stop reading now. What follows is based on my own personal opinion. Yes, it looked nice, in all it's whiteness, with the 20 inch rims, but was nothing special. It didn't make me go "wow". It is just another big 4 door Audi, that apart from some slight tweaks, looks like every other one. So, we unlock it and start peering inside. Take a seat behind the wheel and things improve - the cabin is a very nice place to be. Now, lets look at the business end. Figures are, on paper, impressive (and I'd sure he'd leave me for dust in my Zed) It's a 3 litre supercharhged V6 with 300+ bhp. "Start her up then". Turns key.... (Thinks to myself - is THAT IT"???? Absolutely no sense of occasion or theatre, it may of well have been a 4 cylinder 1.8 petrol. So disappointed. Has the Zed spoilt me? Mine was sold to me the moment I turned the key. When a Zed wakes up from it's slumber, even in standard form, you know 'something' has stirred. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, but for a £30,000 performance car, man it was dull. Oh and before I forget. On the front wings, it has chrome badges stating "V6 T" Surely it should be "V6 SC"? .
  11. The stock Bose headunit's are paired to the car's ECU, so it's not a plug and play item I'm afraid. Most go for an aftermarket double DIN with bluetooth. Remember the steering wheel patch lead etc
  12. Hello and John (and Missus). There's a meet at RAF Cosford on 12th Oct if you're interested (and free). I appreciate it's not exactly on your doorstep, but not a million miles away either. You'll be weloome to come in the Rex and make it a family affair/day out. There's a link in my sig
  13. It's the new Mercedes FART system. Fresh Air Ram Technology
  14. Press it, see what stops/starts working
  15. Still, at least he gets to impress with his Mercedes Benz key ring/key fob. Those that don't know me think I've got a Micra....
  16. Taking inspiration from Dedman's post above, got me thinking... "What long forgotten toys from your childhood bring back fond memories"?
  17. I just put a bid in on one on eBay You should try find the Japanese Home Market one, they are very rare though and were not exported to the UK - Turbo Tomy Drift Edition :
  18. No way! It is now, only in my later life, that I now realise that my Turbo Tomy was fitted with a double DIN Sat Nav unit.
  19. I'm in no rush mate, but appreciate the update.
